Just trying to catch up with all the gossip and failing miserably .....

Hope your day is getting better RGee.

Love the tip about rubbing ankle bones ... you are so alternative down there in Brighton

Well I have to admit I LOVE DISNEYLAND I'm the least likely person in the world to go anywhere like that but I think its fab. The first time we went was a treat for DD when she was 3 and a couple of months before her brother was born, I went with an open mind and I was converted. We've been a couple of times since when we've combined it with our summer hols in France, but tend not to stay at the resort now having found a chateau half an hour away which is a bit of a treat for us and puts us in the right frame of mind for the ordeal treat for the kids. Cant wait till LO is a bit older and we can do all the little rides again

Did everyone enjoy the fireworks ? we bought a pathetic box this year for the back garden, no noise, no loud bangs, just fizz and bright lights. The older two were so cutting with their comments, wich then turned into sarcasm with their exaggerated Oooohh Aaaaahh ..... Well I enjoyed it anyway.

Nothing else to report.

Oh yes sizing. DS2 is such a pudding, been in 12-18m clothes for a months or so now. Weighs in at 22lb so probably no 'my first second christmas' outfit for him this year. Have to make do with a bib instead !

theUrbanDryad · 06/11/2007 15:59

my amazing insomniac baby has been up since 5am, and had 20 minutes power nap all day. he is currently bouncing up and down holding onto the sofa and grizzling at me.

Lizzzombie · 06/11/2007 16:19

ha! its your druggy past catching up with you. Obviously something was lingering around in your breast milk!

I had the same kind of baby yesterday. But today he has been replaced with "lets see how loud I can screech and for how long, before mummy goes mental" baby.

I need a drink.

theUrbanDryad · 06/11/2007 16:48

sweetie, if it was my druggy past catching up with me, hed be one sleeeeeepy baby, who liked listening to Hendrix.

eandh · 06/11/2007 17:22

they have been talking to each other again hattie up at 5.45 had 20mins sleep on school run this morning and 20min sleep in car this afternoon, had early dinner and just had bath and looks like she'll be in bed by 5.30

ud - pmsl imagining z chilling to hendrix !

Lizzzombie · 06/11/2007 17:42

Sorry UD - I had you down as a nu-metal rock chick, speed freak.

My mistake.

theUrbanDryad · 06/11/2007 17:43

i'm trying to keep Z up till quarter to, if i put him to bed any earlier he'll be up stooopid early again. i've just put the hot water on so we can have a lovely bath together......god i'm gonna miss having a baby when he's a strapping toddler and wants to have a bath on his own.

eandh · 06/11/2007 17:45

Then you have another baby and the strapping toddler and the baby spend 25mins in the bath splashing each other whilst you sit on top of the toilet seat attempting not to get soaked and inbetween splashes try and wash their hair and them!

Lizzzombie · 06/11/2007 18:32

I've not attempted a bath with Lo yet. Do you not find it hard getting out with a slippery baby?

theUrbanDryad · 06/11/2007 18:35

i put the seat in the bath then when i'm ready to get out, i let some water out, put Z in the seat and then get out and dry myself and then get him out and dry him! easy peasy!

RGee · 06/11/2007 18:40

Hmm...well no more sickness today, but she's not been her usual self. She went to sleep during the day without fighting it. That is surely one unwell child. Bed here too by 5.30pm. What time will we all be up tomorrow?

Eah I have trouble enough trying to wash one lo's hair .

Lizz - you had a drink yet? I really fancy one too. Fab quilt btw. And I loved DJ's Mr Noisy top!

Hi UD! Hope you had a nice bath.

Kat - thanks for your best wishes. No fireworks here, although I did watch everyone else's from our loft room. Quite a good view so saw loads. Used to love bonfire night display follwed by a few pints. Sigh.

Shimmer - I love tv births. soo realistic . I suppose the baby was nice and clean too. How's work treating you btw? Is it good to be back or a bit weird?

Wilkie - well done on target weight. That seemed to be really quick. you haven't been at WW for that long have you?

PCF - any update for us?

2H - how is the carpet today? What colour was the nail varnish?

Vino - hope you had a great day today. Did you buy anything?

Bunny / UD - I soooo wanted to be in a band when I was younger. Wanted to be a mardy guitarist but I really don't have enough attitude (oh, and not to mention my guitar repertoire goes as far as 'My Bonny Lies Over The Ocean' or something)

Lal - watch out - I'm off to track you down on Facebook.

So where is LTH? Jodie? Dragon? And everyone else?

RGee · 06/11/2007 18:41

Forgot to say, spotted tooth no 7 today.

Wilkie · 06/11/2007 18:44

bunnyhunny · 06/11/2007 19:28

hi everyone!
S is walking!! dh and I were doing the usual getting him to walk from one to the other, and he buggered off to see the dog. we were so shocked, but luckily we caught it all on camera . so proud

ud - when I stick 'all along the watchtower' on, S immediately starts dancing. he has great musical taste.

wilkie - well done!! that was really quick losing that weight - wasn't it 1/2 a stone or so? you are making me think of joining ww, as that last 7lb just is NOT going (not helped by me eating all of the trick or treat leftovers)

rgee - 7 teeth?!?! we are still waiting for nos 4 and 5!

will join you in a drink lizz...

bunnyhunny · 06/11/2007 19:30

2Happy how is the carpet, I never knew tat about having foam and will mentally remember now (it will happen here one day I guarantee it)

Lizz hope you are enjoying your drink

Not much happened here today ellie had preschool and they are learning about diwalli (apparently festival of light I have had to google as she was asking loads of questions!) she made me a lovely clay tealight holder and on thursday gets to try naan bread and dips. Went to eddas house this afternoon and her dd very kindly let ellie wear the pink power ranger dressing up outfit (eddas dd is obsessed by pink power ranger!) and ellie now thinks she is a power ranger

canmummy · 07/11/2007 13:33

Hi everyone!

Well we've had the sickness bug in our house and it's spread (slowly) from 1 child to the other but hopefully all clear now! Lo still a bit cranky though and doesn't like to be put down or left which is extremely irritating!!

Spent ages reading what I've missed in the last few days! I see others have got "fang teeth" through 1st without the middle ones - so has my lo! This happened to dd1 too and I thought it was odd then too!

Not much to report with lo - she's now got 5 teeth and I'm sure she's got another 3 soon on the way. She crawls around lots but no walking yet or even standing (but dd1 was a late walker so I'm not expecting anything yet).

Something embarrassing to admit, though - lo has had head lice!! Dd2 brought them home from school and I thoroughly got rid of them from dd1 and dd2 but never thought to check dd3 Dh was giving her her breakfast a couple of weeks later when actually SAW one crawl across her head! Yuk!

I'm really enjoying work but I'm sooo busy! I've also got 6 weeks of holiday to get in before the end of the year so I'm having lots of indulgent child-free days! Our work christmas do isn't until january and I've just rung up to book a room to stay there with 2 of my colleagues - I can't wait to have a child-free night
