Wilkie i ave never heard the 'I'm on the blob' phrase. It must be a lincoln thing! Boringly I just refer to it as my period.

eandh · 25/11/2007 20:40

I'm not sure what I say think its along the lines of 'i'm on' or 'time of the month' foul mood normally indicates to dh whats the matter!!

Right am off to get washing out of tumble dryer and go to bed (have written 30 christmas cards thats enough for tonight)

MrsCarrot · 25/11/2007 20:40

Auntie Flo??

On the blob?

Who are these weirdy people?

I still haven't got mine, I'd forgotten about them actually.

Did you see my laughing babies? Oh, how I laughed.

walkinginaWILKIEwonderland · 25/11/2007 20:43

Just uploaded THE MOST ADORABLE photos from the weekend - we went to the beach and JJ loved it

eandh · 25/11/2007 20:46

just a quick post and then I am going but they are gorgeous and love the painting one (you mad woman 3 children and paint eeeek!!!!)

Lizzzombie · 26/11/2007 13:25

Ah - beach photo really cute!

Have to say, depends who I am talking to, but on the blob features alot. Or, surfing (as in using a surf board, that one has stuck since school when we were all using big old lady pads....I'm an oldie remember!)

Can someone please reach over and polish my housewife halo...I have just cleaned the oven. My most hated job in the whole world. I deserve chocolate now!

BTW - did any one else know that not only were wispas on limited release, but also, they have stopped making drifters.

(have I posted this already?!)

2Happy · 26/11/2007 14:08

Lizz - come and clean mine!
Yes twas me who took a while to get my BFP. It was a bit different, tho, because I was still bfing - but I had one AF/blob/surfboard when ds1 was can't remember 91/2m or something then nothing nothing nothing. Had a BFN, but still no period, then started to feel sick so bought a PT and got my BFP - which was when ds1 was about 11 or 12m old ish. But as I say I was still bfing and only ever had the one period. I still haven't had one this time, so that means (aside for after baby gunge) I've only had one period since August 2004, which I think is fantastic, and whenever dh and I can decide the family's finished, I'm heading straight for a mirena!
Diarrhoea - there is definitely a diarrhoea bug going around (as well as the vomiting bug, as well as the cold with really intensley irritating cough bug) because ds1 had it last week, and ds2 had diarrhoea this am . WHEN DOES THE SICK SEASON END?!!!!

Lizzzombie · 26/11/2007 16:32

[puke] baby gunge! LOL

walkinginaWILKIEwonderland · 26/11/2007 16:39

2Happy - I am so glad I'm not the only one whose LO seems to have caught all 3 of these bugs

Starting to think I am being a hypochondriac on behalf of J!

Had a great night sleep in the end. 5.30pm-7am with a couple of grizzles in the evening!!

eandh · 26/11/2007 18:38

Oh f**k Ellie is coming down with something, had a bad night with Hattie (teeth) and she woke Ellie a few times so said to MIL that if Ellie wanted to have a short sleep this monring that was fine.

MIL said she was fine till around 10 and then took herself off and slept on sofa till 12 and then woke said she didnt feel well, MIL dosed her up on calpol and she was asleep again by1.30 so she called me I left at 3pm and picked them up and got home and she refused to eat (apparently hasnt eaten all day) gave her a bath to cool her temperature and at 5pm she took herself to bed and was asleep within minutes.

She says shes tired but didnt say if anything hurt so am wondering if its chicken pox (loas at pre school) as they can get flu like symptons before the spots appear or it is a virus, we'll see in the morning !

RGee · 26/11/2007 20:51

Illness..illness..illness.....ARRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHH....can't escape.....

On the plus side, when lo screamed last night, I managed to kick DH hard enough that he got up , and when I got her up this morning she was chatty which she hasn't been for a good few days. On the down side, nursery rang to say she wasn't well so she came home. So, we've had sickness bug at the start of the month for all the family, immediately followed by slapped cheek syndrome, immediately followed by hacking cough/more sickness/extreme tiredness/mild fever/permanent runny nose (or is it all the same disease??), and on bringing her home today she has a gunky eye too. SIGH. Oh, and I have a sore throat.

Have I moaned enough yet

Eah hope E&H both ok.
Wilkie am hoping lo will sleep tonight cos I'm officially on duty!

On the blob is a common phrase round our way. Not sure where it came from?

RGee · 26/11/2007 20:54

DH just been out to pick up a stoopid Xbox game from a courier company, but bless him, came back with a BIG bar of dairy milk turkish delight, one Green&Black MAya Gold bar, one Boost bar, a Double Decker, AND a twirl. Big NOM NOMS

RGee · 26/11/2007 20:54

Am tucking in to the turkish delight if anyone;s interested.....

walkinginaWILKIEwonderland · 26/11/2007 21:30

Gross - turkish delight is putrid.

I am SO mardy it is untrue - think it is MAMMOTH PMT after my epic 7 week cycle and counting....

hattie2 · 26/11/2007 22:10

Hello all - been lurking for a while, time for my 3 monthly post!

Sorry to hear of all the sickness - have had coughs and sickness bug here, amazingly dd had escaped without either. Good job as couldn't cope with her and DH ill at the same time, far too much whingeing!

DS not crawling yet, rolls everywhere and commando crawls but when he gets up on his knees he just looks really confused!!

eandh · 27/11/2007 07:13

well ellie slept for 13.5 ours and got up and seems fine today very strange shes obviously hungry because shes asked for a biscuit and some cocoa and shes going to have breakfast in a mo.

Also she spied the new party dress I bought her yesterday and already tried it on so I know she must be feeling better. Going to send her to preschool and tell them to ring me if she needs to come home.

Rgee - mmmmnnn all that chocolate expecially twirl bars nom nom

Wilkie - has it appeared yet or are you still a mardy bint??

Hattie was up at 4.55am this morning as dh woke her (again) so shes going back to bed in a minute and I need to clean downstairs as it hasnt been done since last week

MrsCarrot · 27/11/2007 09:54

Hasn't been done since last week, EAH, it's only Tuesday!

Hi Hattie - how are thing with you?

I have a cold now, there have been so many funy things around I forgot about the common cold and now I have one it's crap. I look like someone has painted war paint over my nose and cheeks.

RGee · 27/11/2007 11:52

Hi all.

Glad E is better today EaH. P has been asleep for the past 90 mins. Called the HV today as I wasn't sure whether or not to go to the docs. DH took her last week but the doc was pretty crap 'virus - nothing we can do' sort of thing (UD - sound familiar??). Anyway, the HV was sympathetic but basically said it wasn't worth taking her to the docs unless she isn't showing signs of recorey by the end of the week.

Lal - is it your birthday today or am I making things up?

vinorouge · 27/11/2007 12:11

Lunchtime at work for me. Sounds like lo's are all struggling with one thing or another. Am hoping E gets another tooth cos she has been so tired, off any savoury food and had 1 bright red cheek.

Off to stay with my brother this weekend so a trip to the beach might be possible for us too Wilkie. Where did you take J?

hattie2 · 27/11/2007 12:41

Hi MrsC - fine thanks, nothing exciting to report.

Just reading threads about people being ready for Christmas etc and feeling very un-prepared. We are going away though so have excuse for not buying too many presents. DD saw Santa at the weekend and told him he had to deliver her small presents to Dubai(where we are going to be for xmas) and her big presents to home!

Lizzzombie · 27/11/2007 13:01

Hello everyone!

Well, my mothercare uniform arrived yesterday. Manager had told me it was cut generously...the size 14 trousers are about 3 inches too small across the gut/muffin top/overhang. Never going to get into them.

Its official.
I am a lardarse......RGEE...please can you pass me some of your chocolate so I can binge out and placate myself...

I seriously need some new clothes that fit me, but I really dont want to buy the next size up. This is so depressing!

laughalot · 27/11/2007 13:08

Its tomorrow rgee .

Lizz lol you should see the size of my ass.

Vino hope e is better soon all these illness are a nightmare.

Had parents day yesterday aidan is doing well with the work side of things but is struggling a bit on the social side he tends to snatch, dosent want to share ect. Teacher told me to buy a load of board games and sit at home and play them so it teaches him to take his turn ect. H e isnt all that great with his talking so he tends to take is anger out by pushing others because they dont always understand him. Overall it was positive and they are pleased with his shapes, numbers, colors, puzzles, paintings ect and in january he will move up to the next group.

MrsCarrot · 27/11/2007 13:10

Well, every time something arrives I see EAH standing at the top of the stairs with a duster, waiting for the bath to run, and she says I really ought to wrap it now so I can relax for Christmas.

I have done at least half I reckon. With labels!

Dubai, how exciting, I've never spent Christmas outside of England.

2Happy · 27/11/2007 14:43

Bollocks. I must start wrapping...

eandh · 27/11/2007 15:53
