Hi everyone! I made a new thread as we were at the end of the last one. A new thread for the new year! I changed the title as we don’t have newborns anymore!

Gosh I can’t believe I have a 2 year old , Would love to hear updates from some of you. We are still not “sleeping through” but have made major steps , stopped breastfeeding and moved into a big boys bed this week.
Turned out my little boy only has 50% sight in one eye and has glasses permanently now, waiting to see if he needs a patch or operation for his squint. Seems to have took it all his stride though.

@Cornishbumpkin we are tractor & digger obsessed here!

@Zoey92 how are you and your not so little one doing ?

Hi all!
Two year olds are hard work 😂 we still have just the one and well she's enough for now,
Terrible twos really live up to their name, she's so independent and head strong. Her favourite word is NO.
She is a very fussy eater pretty sure she would happily live on spaghetti hoops if she could, 🤦🏻‍♀️
She loves the outdoors, also loves tractors as well as her dolls. She talks for England now non stop and is like a parrot repeating everything you say. It is truly amazing how much personality they have nowadays and how they learn so quickly. 🥰

Aw hi ladies, what a nice surprise!
Everyone says it but I can't believe how quick time goes my second is going to be 1 in less than 8 weeks !
My eldest, Nelly is now 2 and a bit she's incredible but wow hard work very fiery and head strong we go to a different playgroup every morning but she feels very ready for pre school but this won't be until next sep!
Watching their bond is totally amazing and makes me so emotional I hope they are always close. We are hoping to add one more to our family next year if we are lucky enough.
Physically my second pregnancy has been rough on me but just really getting back into my running which is so good for my head I just wish I could go more .
I love being a mum but life feels very heavy and hectic you may not remember but I lost my mum 6 weeks before I had my first and this is obviously still very difficult , my husband also started his own business around a similar time and is away mon to Fri every week if not longer but in good news that's doing really really well.
So lovely to read these updates , keep them coming Smile

Hi Everyone! Been such a long time since I posted bur remember this little group so well through those early months and how much of a godsend it was!

So nice to hear the two year updates. We only have the one and that's definitely enough! He is such a whirlwind, non stop energy. He would run all day! His speech is really coming along and he makes us laugh daily. He's getting his last two molars in and I'll be so glad to see the back of teething! He's still drooling a lot...I really hope this comes to an end soon.

Other than that he loves animals, bubbles and anything he can throw himself off in soft play!!

Has anyone had their two year check ups?

mrssunshinexxx · 20/09/2022 12:32

@SRS1311 yes had ours a fortnight ago they do them around 27m now due to covid. She passed with flying colours ! X

Zoey92 · 20/09/2022 15:21

Eeee i posted and that went MIA 😂
Amelia came down with a bug over the weekend, we've been lucky mind this is her first one. She's a little whirlwind, she goes to playgroup 2 afternoons a week for 3hrs at the local school which she absolutely loves. Loves being outdoors & getting all messy, shes very hands on and head strong.
We've her 27month check tomorrow.
We may try for a 2nd back end of next year, Amelia has been so good though im terrified 😂 pleased to see everyone is doing well, i didnt know if anyone would be notified if i posted. You were all a god send in the early months xx

Ah so lovely to hear from you all and to hear how the (not so) little one’s are doing! Cannot believe it’s been over 2 years since we were all excitedly chattering on this thread about the arrival of our babies!

We still just have the one, but are planning to start trying for another at the end of this year/early next currently going through the stress of moving house so will wait to be in our new place and settled before we try again. I am worried how we will cope with two, but we never wanted Grace to be an only child - hubby will deffo be getting the snip after that though! Two is all I would be able to manage 😂

Grace is coming along so well! It’s so amazing seeing her character come out although I do get sick of hearing her say “no” to everything 😂😂

Smiffette · 06/10/2022 11:28

Nice surprise to check in and see how all your little ones are doing!

My DD is 2 and 4 months nearly, it's crazy! Such a little ball of energy and a chatterbox, just like I was my mum says 😂

Wish I could say we were due a second but had to put a pause on that when my Mum had a major stroke last year... she's doing well though!

Hopefully start thinking about a second (and last!) in the new year 🙂

mrssunshinexxx · 06/10/2022 14:24

Pleased your mum pulled through @Smiffette

Smiffette · 06/10/2022 15:00
