Hi everyone! I made a new thread as we were at the end of the last one. A new thread for the new year! I changed the title as we don’t have newborns anymore!

@Gigitree jj wakes at 4.30am and comes into bed for a cuddle then cause I refuse to get up at that time and function🙈 He’s still going to bed at 7pm with little fuss & only 2 night wake ups so it’s swings and roundabouts

He finally started walking more than 2 steps last week though!!😂

I WISH Grace would come into bed for a cuddle, I think I wouldn’t mind an early wake up if she came in to our bed for a cuddle - but she just does not sit still ever! She is awake at 5.30 and bouncing off the walls 😂
I don’t blame you though, 4.30 is waaaaay too early!

Wow go Jj! How exciting hopefully the walking tire him out more and he’ll stop waking so early! 😂😂

@Gigitree I say a cuddle he sits and pulls my hair and pinches my face and repeats dadadada over and over 🙈

We’re back to ridiculous night waking literally every 2 hours again I’m dead on my feet . hoping it’s a temp teething thing . Surely he has to sleep through more than once this year 😭

Thanks @Gigitree baby arrived yesterday, rough labour got to 10cm and pushing didn't have epidural til 8cm was v fast. Sadly her heart rate kept dipping and doctor was not happy so went for cat 2 emergency section I am obviously so grateful she is safe and healthy but wow I feel deflated I got so close and ended up with another EMC and of course doubly knackered from both types of labour. . The cord was wrapped round her neck twice and she said my scar was paper thin so a blessing in disguise perhaps . In hospital on the dreaded night 2 it's 1.50am I've been up since 6am and she still won't go to sleep, yay

Sorry @mrssunshinexxx that it was a rough labour but at least she's here safe and sound! I hope your both home really soon and you get some sleep x

Glad you are both safe and well even though you didn't get to have the Labour you'd hoped for.
Fingers crossed you get some rest today and get home soon.

@mrssunshinexxx oh wow congratulations so happy to hear that she’s here and you’re both safe and well. So sorry to hear you didn’t get the VBAC you were hoping for but it sounds like you gave it everything you had. Really hope you are able to get some rest and the recovery goes well for you 🥰

Haha @Picklesbaby that makes much more sense though as I was like how on earth does she get him to just cuddle in bed!

@Magpie21 oh god it’s not just you! In the lasts week or so the tantrums have started! When I tell her no she either ignores me or has a full on meltdown! It’s going to be a looooong year and half until we get to age 3 🤣

We are just getting our 6th tooth through now..a molar! Poor thing! Wish she wasn't so aware of it all.

Have you started Xmas shopping yet? I have just bought a few things from Marketplace (Happyland toys and a rocking horse) and a doll.

Haha I know right @Magpie21 I was hoping we’d be closer to 2 by the time the toddler attitude was upon us 😂

Not started proper Xmas shopping yet but got her a few things for the start of December. I want to do her a 1st December box for her with Xmas pj’s her advent Calendar a personalised mug for hot chocolates etc so I’ve started gathering those bits. Still not 100% sure what we want to get her for Xmas yet.
What sort of things is everyone thinking?

Thank you @Magpie21 I can't believe how different they are !! Nelly has 16 teeth !! I've got her happy land and an elc car garage off market place going to ask for a pack of Julia Donaldson books and an aqua doodle off in laws and that will be it I don't want her to be overloaded with gifts she will totally love those few x

@Magpie21 we haven't bought much ourselves as relatives have already bought her loads, my mum found her a brand new rocking dinosaur in a charity shop which she'll love as she already has a cheap rocking horse. Also a little sit on first scooter thing which she has played with a lot at soft play so thought that was a good idea.
Thinking of getting her a play kitchen as she really loves anything like that.

We now have pretty much all our teeth just waiting on last one or two second molars at the back to come through 😳

You can find some great toys in the charity shops and on marketplace can't you. When my daughter was little was insisted on buying new but I learnt quickly it's not necessary at all.

Out of curiosity how are you managing TV time/playtime? We are out at playgroups etc during the day but when we are at home we do have the Ceebebies on in the background. My little likes her toys but had a short attention span. I think this is pretty typical but just wondered how you find it being at home with the little ones Xx

I know it's crazy! I love getting things second hand I want to do my bit I'm not adding to landfill and buying unnecessarily if somethings been well looked after from a smoke free home im all over it ! I usually put tv on when we get back from our morning group whilst I make lunch so half an hour tops then just so she's not whinging under my feet hungry. Then again when prepping tea for half an hour ish . I do think it's almost important for her to just zone out for abit I know how much I love my hour of telly before bed. Sometimes she will sit / lay with blanket and suck her finger, sometimes she will run in and out to me in the kitchen or play with toys inbetween x

@Magpie21 I work 4 days a week and she's at nursery for 2 of them. We do have the tv on all day in the background and she dips in and out of watching it if we are home. I try and entertain her and break it up by taking her upstairs etc but we only have a small house so there isn't much room to escape.
She also has a short attention span 🙃
