Hi everyone! I made a new thread as we were at the end of the last one. A new thread for the new year! I changed the title as we don’t have newborns anymore!

@mrssunshinexxx I really recommend the pelvic partnership website and if it’s something you are able to do, they have a list of chiropractors/oestopaths/physios who are recommended to treat pregnant/postnatal ladies who are suffering with PGP. I’m sure most people’s goes away once they’ve delivered but for me it didn’t and the lady local to me who was on this list has been amazing as I was still having PGP pain up until earlier this year.

Oh gosh @Busylizzie85 That sounds like a long abs stressful day for you. I’ve started doing graces nap at 12 and a small lunch at 11.30 then I give her a snack and water when she wakes up.

Gigitree · 17/09/2021 14:09

Thanks @Magpie21 and do you do lunch before at like 11.30ish?

Oh nooo don’t feel guilty for that! They need to get used to that with winter approaching 😂😂😂

mrssunshinexxx · 17/09/2021 15:02

Argh god I hope mine
Goes ASAP thank you I have been referred for physio through the nhs starting next week@Gigitree

Gigitree · 28/09/2021 20:59

How are you doing? @mrssunshinexxx hope you’re doing ok and the pgp is bearable

mrssunshinexxx · 29/09/2021 01:23

Hey @Gigitree aw thanks for thinking of me. I'm coping with it as best I can it's hard cos you need to take it easy but with a toddler you just can't so we are just carrying on as normal but I'm trying to rest when she naps when I'm not frantically nesting ! Really ready for her out now but so hope this birth will be better / quicker than the last x

Magpie21 · 29/09/2021 06:53

@Gigitree sorry for not replying to your question about lunchtime. Sometimes we do an 11:45ish lunch and if she isn't hungry enough il save it until she wakes up at 2ish.

@mrssunshinexxx Not long now! Hope you are feeling ok xx

Picklesbaby · 04/10/2021 21:47

@Smiffette I thought id let you know, we stopped breastfeeding a week ago today. he is eating so much more which is fabulous as he is currently underweight . Big news is he slept through for the first time in his life ( 7pm-4.30am!!). I hold 0 hope on it becoming a regular thing , but it reassures me it can be done . He also took his first steps today, only 2 of them but still 😁It has been a busy week !! Hope your getting on okay . How my baby is 16months old tomorrow I don’t know 😱

@mrssunshinexxx hope your keeping well also x

mrssunshinexxx · 04/10/2021 21:50

Omg I bet that sleep was bliss ?! @Picklesbaby you never know it could be a new routine for him I hope it is 😍 Nelly makes me belly laugh daily she's such a little character ! I'm ok thanks counting down the days scared about doing it all again without my mum, I know I can do it I just don't want to I wish I had her x

Magpie21 · 05/10/2021 07:04

@Picklesbaby That's great news! I second what @mrssunshinexxx says...this could be the new normal 😊

Smiffette · 05/10/2021 19:28

@Picklesbaby aww that's amazing on the sleep! How was last night?
16 months old! Wow DD will be 16 months next Wednesday! 🙈
Well done on stopping! I'm still working on it. She understands now when I say only mummy milk at bedtime so she's good at not asking for it or if she does I offer an alternative and she takes it with no fuss, I've also managed to substitute a early morning (anything from 03:00-06:00) with a bottle instead of me. She used to never take a bottle overnight so that's progress!
Then im away for 2 nights without her at the end of the month, so that my cut off point as I wont be here!

Picklesbaby · 08/10/2021 07:02

@mrssunshinexxx I still woke up every hour! , bad habits 😂 aww I wish you all the best your a very strong lady x

hasn’t repeated it since but is down to only one/two wake ups max wich is amazing for him. It’s strange cause I’ve been more tired than ever now I’m actually getting some sleep

@Smiffette 16 months sounds so grown up doesn’t it 😢we also stopped as we had our first night away and he was fine without me so we had one lovely last feed when I got back and called it a day . He still asks &’ pulls at me but accepts cows milk in his cup and drinks water in the night. I probably miss it more than he does 🤦🏻‍♀️

Gigitree · 17/10/2021 09:14

How are you doing @mrssunshinexxx any sign of bubs making their arrival? Sorry I’ve forgotten your exact due date ❤️

Thank you @Magpie21 we’ve started doing lunch at 11.30 and then a decent snack when she wakes up which seems to be working at the moment

Gigitree · 17/10/2021 09:14

Hope everyone else is doing well ❤️

Busylizzie85 · 17/10/2021 16:12

We are ok @Gigitree Ivy turned 16 months last week the same as @Smiffette
Ivy started leap 10 so her sleep has been rubbish this last week, she always seems to get night terrors or nightmares when starting a leap 🙄
Also struggling with one nap most days it's just not enough and she is so over tired by bedtime 😔

Smiffette · 17/10/2021 16:25

@Busylizzie85 aww yeah The leap has started for us too, although last night she did the longest stretch ever without waking 19:35-05:20! I'm glad I decided on an early night and went up at 9! first time I've had 7 hrs straight since I was pregnant! I'm sure it was a fluke but it was amazing!

Hope Ivys sleep settles soon x

mrssunshinexxx · 18/10/2021 07:09

Aw thank you @Gigitree I'm 37+3 so anytime now would be great I keep having a little wobble should I be having an elc but I think it's just becayse due Date is so close and the reality of labour is kicking in hopefully I won't regret it and won't tear from front to back 😳 my husband works away but hoping this will be his last week as I feel pretty anxious about it bump has dropped but not sure that really means anything I'm having a sweep next wed x

Gigitree · 18/10/2021 13:27

Glad to hear you are well @Busylizzie85
Oh no those leaps really unsettle everything don’t they? Grace had a really unsettled night last week and I wonder if it was leap related as she just needed lots of cuddles to get back to sleep, at first I didn’t mind too much as she hardly ever wants cuddles these days but it went on and on from 11.30am until 2.30am - she had a bit of a cold so I don’t know if she was just feeling a bit rubbish on top of a leap maybe. We’re very lucky that normally her sleep is fantastic so I can’t really complain too much
I know what you mean about some days the one nap isn’t enough, normally around 10.30/11am she really starts to struggle but she does sleep well 12-2.30 so if she is tired near to bedtime we just bring it forward to 6.30pm

Amazing @Smiffette must feel so good to get a decent stretch of sleep!

@mrssunshinexxx oooo how exciting! Hopefully baby stays out until your husband is back from work.
I’m sure you won’t regret it and I’m keeping everything crossed for you for a smooth delivery. Are you high risk for tearing?
Honestly I found healing from my 3rd degree tear much easier than I anticipated so please try not to worry severe tears are really quite rare.
Also a friend of my had a 3rd degree tear with her first baby and a elc with her second and she said the 3rd degree tear was sooo much easier to heal from than the elc.

mrssunshinexxx · 18/10/2021 16:09

That's good to know @Gigitree thank you no don't think high risk? Had emc last time x

Gigitree · 19/10/2021 17:47

I’m sure you’ll be absolutely fine then @mrssunshinexxx

Magpie21 · 30/10/2021 06:32

@mrssunshinexxx How are you getting on? Xx

mrssunshinexxx · 30/10/2021 20:21

Gigitree · 02/11/2021 19:40

mrssunshinexxx · 02/11/2021 21:13

Gigitree · 03/11/2021 05:28

mrssunshinexxx · 03/11/2021 07:53
