Seanschristmasfairy · 02/11/2007 21:29

Are they to sprinkle on salad or something or a healthy snack?

justbeme · 02/11/2007 21:30

well they look fine - but Ive just found a recipe and it says to cook them for 15mins - so I bet they crack my teeth!!!

Was googling to see if I could freeze pumpkin and it says dice/boil and then freeze.

I'll let you know how the seeds are once they cool!!

Seanschristmasfairy · 02/11/2007 21:30

No me neither Daisy I recently completely lied about my weight and alcohol consumption on my recent life insurance form. DH nearly shat himself!

justbeme · 02/11/2007 21:31

they were just as a snack -
(im actually a very unhealthy eater!!)

Seanschristmasfairy · 02/11/2007 21:32

Right this really is it otherwise I will be in trouble with DH.

Seanschristmasfairy · 02/11/2007 21:32

Aren't we all JB

upsyderlor · 02/11/2007 21:33

i usually just sprinkle some of them and some pine nuts through a big bowl of crisps and then scoff the lot. would like another recipe though!!!!!!!

SG everyone lies about how much they drink for that sort of thing. I'm sure insurance companies treble it, divide by two and add one to get closer to the right amount

same with smoking....for 10 a day read 20+

upsyderlor · 02/11/2007 21:44

oooh i'm catching up on Spooks, it's a bit complicated this series, keep having to rewind i'm easilly confused

I have poorly DS2, so could be a long night. LO just gone to sleep. If I go now, I'm in with a chance of some zzzzz's.

Sleep well xx

BadZelda · 03/11/2007 08:34

Morning dears - guess I'm the only sad sap on here over breakfast!

nowbringussomeJammypudding · 03/11/2007 08:35

No, I'm lurking BZ

BadZelda · 03/11/2007 08:43

Well I'm being bad mummy this morning: is it wrong that I can't be ARSED to feed DD1 (nearly 3) her porridge spoon by spoon (she won't eat it herself for some reason this morning) so I have sent her to her room?

BadZelda · 03/11/2007 08:43

Well I'm sure she won't waste away by lunchtime

nowbringussomeJammypudding · 03/11/2007 08:47

I'm sure she'll be fine BZ.

Have been sniggering like a schoolgirl at the Hoobs, when Tula asked Groove if he had seen her special place.

nowbringussomeJammypudding · 03/11/2007 08:52

Not sure I could be arsed to feed anyone spoon by spoon this morning. But am going to have to try at lunchtime if we're going to give DD her first taste of solid food as planned

BadZelda · 03/11/2007 09:15

AIBU to be a bit pissed off that my DH insists on having a lie in till at least 10.30 EVERY saturday morning? After a week of childcare I could do with NOT getting up at seven to look after them!

nowbringussomeJammypudding · 03/11/2007 09:18

YA totally reasonable Zelda!

BadZelda · 03/11/2007 09:18

DD2 has so far had: some broccoli florets, carrot sticks, mashed potatoes, porridge and a baked bean! All self-fed...so we shall see how we get on going forward. I did puree first time round with DD1 - but never got quite so far as ice cubes (seems like how would there be any vitamins left once something has been steamed to within an inch of it's life, liquidised and then frozen? So DD1 would just get our left-over veggies hand-blended for her next meal.

BadZelda · 03/11/2007 09:20

I wouldn't mind so much if he was using the time for sleeping, but actually he's been awake and had his breakfast (brought to him in bed) and is just surfing the web on his laptop. Grrrrrr. Then he will get up at 11 and inform me he's going out for an hour, so I can just look after the children till afternoon.

Guess if I actually planned something else to do with my saturday he wouldn't get away with it.
