hello, we're over here

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
dogtanian · 31/10/2007 11:07

Respect daisy! You are indeed infamous!

It's too cold to put ice on my knee! I'm not doing any housework today though (except washing nappies)! Not sure how I did it, probably from crawling round the floor after small people and changing nappies.

Do it BZ, it is a very cool house!

DD has a sparkly witches dress on! She loves dressing up!

foxystein · 31/10/2007 11:09

Morning.

Good to see you back BZ!

Congrats Daisy - you are officially official blocked ducts guru! Poor woman, sounds awful. I've never heard of blisters on blocked ducts.

BZ, that dolls house is not over the top at all. Infact, to my mind its not over the top enough. You have two little girls who will have years of fun with it. But its that attitude to toys which explains why I have a huge fuck off plastic-moulded hardly played with Little Tikes Country Kitchen taking up half of my living room

Things OK here today. I've stopped panicking.

dogtanian · 31/10/2007 11:11

Hey foxy, glad you are ok today!

I want to get dd a Charlie and Lola t-shirt for christmas and I can't find any that aren't £15! I refuse to spend £15 on a 2 year old's top that she will spill juice down and will end up in the bin after 2 wears.

foxystein · 31/10/2007 11:13

make one? print a pic off cbeebies on to iron-on transfer, bung on a 2 quid primark t-shirt and hey presto!

IamDaisy · 31/10/2007 11:19

Glad things are better this morning foxy

I've promised DS a halloween tea party tonight (instead of trick or treating which I can't face with a baby in tow), so need to go out and get him some dressing up stuff and decorations, party food etc. I did say it was dependant on his behaviour at school today, and if this morning is anything to go on, it won't be happening! But, I suppose I'd better go and get the stuff organised, giving him the benefit of the doubt!

Is anyone else still getting really sweaty under their boobs? I'm fed up feeling constantly damp and uncomfortable. Does it stop or will I be like this till I stop BFing??

IamDaisy · 31/10/2007 11:21

what a great idea foxy....I can see myself saving a fortune on power ranger/spider man/batman PJs from Mothercare which go all saggy and faded after the first wash anyway!

dogtanian · 31/10/2007 11:23

That's a v good idea foxy, alas my printer is broken ! I might just get her a £15 one. I did sell loads of stuff on ebay last night, so am pretty loaded in the paypal account!

Yes daisy, the sweaty norks persist until bfing is over. I always thought it was because of the hotness of said norks when full of milky goodness!

foxystein · 31/10/2007 11:27

Daisy, your post made me laugh. Things are exactly the same here.

Except I managed to fuck up making jelly this morning! Do I get a prize for being totally incompetent in the kitchen?

I made a t-shirt with DS1s picture on it when he was a baby. How sad is that?!

BadZelda · 31/10/2007 11:43

I don't think it's sad at all - it's lovely. Glad to see you back to normal cheery self Foxy zx

IamDaisy · 31/10/2007 11:45

oooh, I could make orange jelly and put plastic spiders in the bottom!

right, am off to feed DD then get myself off to the shops!

Later, chicks

milkyJammy · 31/10/2007 11:57

Hi. Glad to see you seem a bit more upbeat this morning Foxy. And BZ, I love that house.

How easy is it to get and use iron on transfer paper? I'm pretty hopeless when it comes to printing - have never progressed beyond A4 paper.

BadZelda · 31/10/2007 12:14

I think you can probably get it in the ELC ? Or woolies? Usually comes in A4 sheets, so you can just stick it in your printer like normal paper. Then, in your 'print settings' select 'transfer paper' as the paper type, and bob's your uncle. I've used it to make 'projector' lights for DDs room...ah fun with printers when she was a small baby and I had time to do shit ;)

IamDaisy · 31/10/2007 12:23

you'll get iron on transfer paper in hobbicraft or similar places.

How long does jelly take to set? If I make it by 2 at the latest, will it be ready at teatime?

milkyJammy · 31/10/2007 12:32

Not sure Daisy, I've only ever done it overnight, or first thing in the morning for teatime eating. Sorry.

Thanks for the transfer tips girls, might try some out once she gets "into" characters

dogtanian · 31/10/2007 12:33

Put ice cubes in it daisy, it will set super quick!

LittleMissNorty · 31/10/2007 12:53

Heeeellloooo...

I put jelly in the freezer for a little while....that will help....also make with a tiny bit of hot water in the microwave and top up with very cold water......love the idea of orange jelly with plastic spiders in

LittleMissNorty · 31/10/2007 13:12

Oh no-one around....will go and watch the news then......

Cath up later x

foxystein · 31/10/2007 13:23

Daisy, stick some extra geletine in it.

Usually (and obviously, of course )I make it with Juice/geletine, but today I went for the synthetic cube stuff. Its no easier really. Just wanted bright green and red. Pumping my kids with colours and e numbers just for effect!! I stuck some strawberry laces in and grapes. The laces have dissolved into mush.

So I'm going to have mushy artificial shite to give them. If it goes too wrong I'll bung some custard over it and call it "ooze, slime and pus".

annobal · 31/10/2007 13:48

LOL Foxy. Ive been terrible on the halloween front - doesn't really come on my radar being from oz. Must try to make more of an effort .

Glad you are feeling better today Foxy.

I LOVE kath and kim too - i have the entire series on dvd. didn't know there was a series aftr the kylie episode tho. there's my christmas order

foxystein · 31/10/2007 13:58

HMV have the box (1-3) set very cheap at the mo.

Last year my two were so disappointed I felt terrible when everyone else was going on at school about it. So I went and bought loads of (reduced) stuff left over on 1st Nov. Obviously I have no ides where I put it all so have had to start again.

annobal · 31/10/2007 14:14

We're going to stay with friends in Sussex for the weekend. They have a field attached to the house so have organised a bonfire and some fireworks. We're all very excited .

foxystein · 31/10/2007 14:34

that sounds lovely.

shit. thats THIS weekend,

AAARRSSSSSE.

fairyfay · 31/10/2007 14:38

Hello

Talking of fireworks, do you think DD (2 and 1 month) is too young? Should we wait until next year to take her to a display?

Andiem - I can probably do next Friday for coffee in Kingston, but can we confirm definitely this time next week? I did have a half-hearted discussion with a friend about doing something - however I suspect that nothing will come of it.

fairyfay · 31/10/2007 14:39

Bugger, I sit down for 2 mins to check Mn and DS wakes up. Byeeeeee

andiem · 31/10/2007 14:44
