Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
HellHathNoFury · 27/10/2007 20:43

I have the receipt for LO...now how do I take him back?

milkyJammy · 27/10/2007 20:43

But later, after she'd had a good old cry and finally fell asleep on my lap for a while, she got really cute

milkyJammy · 27/10/2007 20:45

DH said he wanted to send DD back when she wasn't ebing cute. I said no way!

HellHathNoFury · 27/10/2007 20:47

Oh I can deal with not being cute. it's just 12 hour tantrums I have a problem with.

Clarabumps · 27/10/2007 20:52

the telly on a saturday night is, for want of a better word, pure crap. ended up watching xfactor- dunno if it's just my ears but it sounds to me as if all of them can't sing. i took ds to a halloween party today dressed as a pumpkin. He totally stole the show- was proud as punch! he went down tonight with a teeny grumble but not much else. woo hoo!

milkyJammy · 27/10/2007 21:05

Sat night tv is always crap. Can't remember the last time there was something decent

foxystein · 27/10/2007 21:21

12 hour tantrums? Blimey!

HellHathNoFury · 27/10/2007 21:38

DH and I have had the day from hell

Until 9.30am (given he wakes up at 5.30, so a few hours), he was angel child. Then evil child took over and either grizzled, cried, screamed all day.

During one spectacular mammoth screaming session, he vomited up a whole load of yellow slimy vom. Which made him cry more.

DH and I are both now exhausted and frazzled and hoping that with tomorrow comes semi-cheerful child again.

The only time he stopped was during his bath. He even managed to carry on through feeding. I'm off to overdose on headache pills and go to bed. Night all!

milkyJammy · 28/10/2007 07:44

Well, the clocks changing didn't work out so bad for us. She went to sleep at 7.30 last night, woke at 3am (adjusted time), again at 6am - and then bonus went back to sleep again until 7.30 (adjusted time)! Now tucking in to her breakfast

annobal · 28/10/2007 08:57

That good news Jammy. DS3 did another enourmous vom before he went to bed so of course I was awake checking on him all night.

He, on the other hand woke twice for a feed and managed to keep both down. He's still asleep now. Hopefully that's it for the tummy bug

We will be doing not much at all today - what's everyone else up to?

annobal · 28/10/2007 08:57

TA, hope you have a better day today.

milkyJammy · 28/10/2007 09:08

Hi Annobal, yes hope that is the end of the vomiting.

We are probably going to do a bit of shopping later. DH wants clothes, I want some bits from Boots, we need inspiratin for some birthday presents for family...

Hope you have an easier day Fury. In fact hope we all have nice, easy days! We deserve it!!

foxystein · 28/10/2007 09:25

Duvet days all round then?

Enjoy your shopping Jammy.

annobal · 28/10/2007 09:37

Absolutely, with the added bonus that DH is taking DS1 and DS2 out for a few hours. Think I might curl up in bed with DS3...

milkyJammy · 28/10/2007 09:46

I need DH to get up first, Foxy. Seems like he thinks the clocks went forward an hour, not back

foxystein · 28/10/2007 10:01

hmm, my dp stayed out til 3am, then thought he'd help himself to the lie in. Am really grumpy with him now.

Sounds nice Annobal. Think I might slink off with lo back to bed too.

justbeme · 28/10/2007 11:02

What a yucky day (weather wise)

Had a letter from HR yesterday
"I note that your original intention to return to work was 27/5/08....As we are now nearing this date I ask that you confirm your intention..." WTF - its 7 months away for goodness sake!!

We've been in invited out for lunch today round a friends house, so looking forward to that.

Foxy I feel for you... MEN!

bumperlicious · 28/10/2007 11:14

Morning all. Hope your weekends are going well.

Fury, what a shit day yesterday. Hope today is better for you.

We've had a good couple of days. Feel rejuvenated for having DH around for a couple of days.

Last night we went out for dinner with my aunt and uncle and 2 of their friends who were visiting the area. It was lovely and DD was as good as gold.

Debating whether or not to pop into town today. need some nappies but the weather is so hideous I'm not sure I can face it.

DD didn't wake up till 7 today which was a miracle, but then she didn't go down till 10pm. Feeling less like a zombie. Last thursday I was so tired I took dd out int he car and when I got to bumps and babes I realised I hadn't strapped her in in her chair .

foxystein · 28/10/2007 11:14

Hi JBM, its crappy isn't it? Have persuaded DP to take the kids to the park and supermarket. he he he. Enjoy your lunch. Lucky you!

foxystein · 28/10/2007 11:16

Fab Bumper! how is lo doing in her own room?

Nah, stay home and relax. You can do shopping tomorrow. Be something to do. And don't worry about the car seat thing - we all do it. You think we'd only do it once, but I've done it every single child .

bumperlicious · 28/10/2007 11:16

annobal, hope ds is feeling better now.

Foxy I would arm your kids with their noisest toys and tell them dh want them to get into bed with him!

bumperlicious · 28/10/2007 11:21

She is doing ok thanks Foxy. DH and I are still taking it in turns in sleeping in there with her, but that is really more for DH's benefit than hers! He was reluctant to put her in her own room. Still haven't managed to get her to nap in her crib during the day though. One thing at a time I guess.

HellHathNoFury · 28/10/2007 12:02

DS woke up at 11.30, 2.30 and 5.30.
After the shit week... and the shit day yesterday... I was a woman not happy.

so out came the baby porridge.
Then I went out and bought rusks; full sugar ones, no less.

And I have had a peaceful day. DS is in his chair, covered in rusk goo, watching tv. Happy. Not screaming.
ahhhhhhhhhh

milkyJammy · 28/10/2007 12:12

We are thinking of putting the seat on the pushchair (Phil & Ted) into the "child" position rather than the lie flat baby position when we go out shopping this afternoon. We haven't tried it yet and thought that as both of us will be there it'll be easier if we do need to revert back to lie down mode. Are we mad? The instructions say this is suitable when the child is strong enough to support its head - she can do this pretty well though gets a little wobbly when she's really tired.

milkyJammy · 28/10/2007 12:19

Sometimes, Fury, you just have to do what works. Not a bad mummy, just one that needs a break. Better a bit of rusk and tv and smiles all round (inc you) than stress and tantrums
