Another operation on his willy and a circumcision. I don't feel very good about it, partly because I'm not convinced the circumcision is my decision to make for him. I am going with the surgeons decision (this is his 4th op on it, I think) but I'm not 100% convinced.

DS1 was born with a condition called Hypospadias where his urethra is on the underside of his penis instead of the end.

Anyway, enough of my misery. It will all be ok.

frumpyflabbyfurryfarfromfoxy · 16/10/2007 22:16

Yes, DD2 is coming. I'm hoping she'll be a distraction for him too. He does love her, but hasn't spent much time with her on his own.

Thanks everyone. tears are coming, but its only a release so I'm off for a cry, feed lo and sleep.

xxxx

justbeme · 16/10/2007 22:21

All the best for tomorrow Foxy - your'e brave little boy will be fine.

IamDaisy · 16/10/2007 22:23

aw foxy, the poor love, and poor you. We'll be thinking about him. {{{{{{{hugs}}}}}}} to you both xx

justbeme · 16/10/2007 22:23

mmmm Ive just had 2 peanut butter Lindor balls and a mint one- Divine!! ( I bought DP 2 BIG boxes from Whittards - but I bet I end up eating most of them!!)

How are you all?? Enjoyed the programme?

Sputnik · 16/10/2007 22:28

aw Foxy, it'll be ok. All the best for tomorrow x.

Re weaning here, my paed said fruit at 5 months, then 6 months start with gluten-free stuff. They have kind of cereal powder stuff here, haven't seen it in the UK. Then it's on to the baby pasta

Re having more... broodiness aside I don't think my inner lazy cow could really cope with more than 2 . Also, given my "advancing years" and the way my last pg went it would probably be a bit risky too (plus I HATE being pg). Not to mention DH would never agree

dogtanian · 16/10/2007 22:30

Awww foxy, your poor ds (and poor you). Hope it all goes ok and he can come home straight away x

Is it me or was CV weaning at 11 weeks? She is odd squad! I loved those toddlers with knives, fabbo!

JBM, who was that market research with? Sounds good!

riabutterflew · 16/10/2007 22:32

BTW, the smell was exactly the same!

I told DS that when I was at school I used to do the Home Ec demonstrations on open evening. He asked me if I was good at cooking then why do I think I'm so bad at it now. little fecker.

Also I am completely buggered. Among the parents there were - two ex-bosses, one of whom told me I should not marry DH and told my parents (WTF?) that I should be sacked (screw you bitch - I left of my own accord and we're still married 11 1/2 years on), one brother of first serious boyfriend, and one best mate of second serious boyfriend (who 1st BF was dumped in favour of). Think I will hate parents evenings/concerts for ever

Sputnik, I don't think my inner lazy cow (or the outer one) could cope with more than 2 either! I feel sort of complete now I have my little girl and my little boy! It sort of feels perfect! My dp, however, would have another tomorrow! He actually said the other day "wouldn't it be good to have twins?!" WTF! He is clearly insane!

dogtanian · 16/10/2007 22:35

ROFL Ria! Where do you live, Emmerdale? Does everyone know everyone else?

I hate that school smell, it's hideous! Sort of school dinners, sweaty boys, cheesy trainers and pine fresh floor cleaner! Eurgh!

Sputnik · 16/10/2007 22:37

Ria, I knew there was some advantage in living 1000 miles from where I grew up

Holly, what were the toddlers with knives doing, dissecting CV?

IamDaisy · 16/10/2007 22:38

I did some market research a while back and all I got was a sodding air freshener. I missed out on £30 for doing one on small rodents though.

Where did you register jbm.....

Sputnik, I'd completetly forgotten about your over exciteable cerviix . Given that when I stand up after I've been sitting for a while the whole of my pelvis/lower back is in agony, I don't think I could deal with another pregnancy either.

DS was asking me if his wee mates mum is having a baby (she is very tall and quite large). I said no, and expalined that it's not nice to talk about how other people look. We stopped for a chat before we went our separate ways, and the boys were standing on a wall and talking about who was the tallest....it was J's mum, even with the boys on the wall. Then DS quipped, "but my mum has a big belly" to which his mate responded "but my mum's is bigger, much bigger".

bless their hearts

IamDaisy · 16/10/2007 22:40

PMSL at Emmerdale holly

sadly, I am waaaaay too old to remember what school smells like

dogtanian · 16/10/2007 22:40

Oh, yes sputnik, your cervix was very naughty wasn't it?!

dogtanian · 16/10/2007 22:42

Sputnik, if you go on to the C4 website you can download 4OD and watch BUB if you so desire. Prob not a good idea, you'd want to smack CV in the gob, hard!

riabutterflew · 16/10/2007 22:42

I nearly didn't have the three I've got just then. LO tried to roll off my knee. I caught his trousers just in time (before he landed head first on the floor ) I was holding him quite firmly too, I have no idea how he did it. Am holding on even tighter now!

I feel a bit with the idea that DS3 is my last. I have at least 10 years left... If DH has a change of fortune and we could afford to extend our house I would happily have more, but it would have to be two as I'm funny about even numbers. DH would have more tomorrow and will probably NEVER have the snip (but that s because his exs best friend told him he should because it was dangerous for her to have any more PGs).

My DM would have a fit!

BTW, not odd not to want MIL to feed LO. I agree. I took a FF for ds3 to my DPs tonight - I love it when they feed my babies - but LO wouldn't have it. feel quite for dps. but if it had been mil - !

You're probably right Holly, I got quite pissed off just looking at a picture of the woman in her fake uniform.
Right, off to bed, night all

riabutterflew · 16/10/2007 22:49

it's times like this I wish we'd stayed away, but it's a small(ish) price to pay for the relationship my DCs have with my DPs. I'll just have to get thin and gorgeous and get DH slightly more toned and a lot more successful before our first parents evening!

justbeme · 16/10/2007 22:49

The market research was thru a lady that I know whose job it is to organise such things - I get maybe 2 a year from her, so hardly money making!!

Whilst I was out I left a carton of formula with my neighbour (1st time I'd left L !!) and when I got home "MIL" was there and feeding her with the bottle!!! So I bet that made MIL happy!! (although as usual there were no emotions shown!)

anyhow Im off to make 2mrows sarnies and finish my glass of vino

Night all XX

riabutterflew · 16/10/2007 22:51

my back is knackered too. so long as the sciatica stays away. its not helped by havibg ds2 in our bed every night though.
