derlor...you have two scrabulous moves to make

sputnik.....i hope I haven't offended you with my advancing years comment

moving sswiftly on....what is the weatehr like with you at the moment? does it get really cold in the winter or is it more like our autumn?

and does anyone know what the weather is like in belgium at this time of year?

upsyderlor · 16/10/2007 21:41

Foxy have a ((((((((((hug)))))))))) and a chocolate x

upsyderlor · 16/10/2007 21:42

oh sorry Daisy, i'm on it

frumpyflabbyfurryfarfromfoxy · 16/10/2007 21:43

oooh, Derlor! Mr Derlor!

You know what I think on the matter

(because obviously I should have a say in your decision making )

then you too can have people ask "are you done now?". I like to say, "actually, we want six."

frumpyflabbyfurryfarfromfoxy · 16/10/2007 21:45

am rather that you stuck with the chocolate club (I admire your commitment!!!)

Are the monthly boxes as good as the taster box?

IamDaisy · 16/10/2007 21:48

foxy, are you allright? As someone who spends most of the time feeling on the edge, you have my sympathy and virtual hugs. go easy on the wine though....it's bad enough dealing with two when hungover, I can't imagine what four must be like.

go derlor....is there a time frame for the next one or is it entirely DHs idea? big families seem to be coming back in vogue don't they? I'd love four as being one of four it was always busy and noisy and friendly in our house. DH is one of two and he and his brother, although perfectly friendly to each other aren't exactly bosom buddies.

IamDaisy · 16/10/2007 21:51

I have five Is on my rack....wtf????

upsyderlor · 16/10/2007 21:53

CALM down you two i said HE wants another one NOT ME!!! i've got my fat ass parked firmly on the fence about it all

Daisy , i've played my moves.

foxy - i only get a box every 4 months, and yes they are flippin delicious

how'd it go Ria??????
did you get a punny exercise

riabutterflew · 16/10/2007 21:56

a what?

OP posts:
frumpyflabbyfurryfarfromfoxy · 16/10/2007 21:57

I was chatting with a nanny who works round here and she was one of 6 and only had good things to say. Not what I need to hear!!!

Daisy, things are really, really good - normally. But I'm at full pelt, and if I want to keep on top of things (which, as you know is important to me and feeds that voice in my head screaming 'control! control!' at me) I can't slow down. If I spend a morning having coffee with friends, or someone over for lunch I'm anxious all day knowing things aren't getting done.

I am making myself sound mad. I am just anxious about tomorrow. My sis is looking after two of them and I know the house will be trashed when I get home, which I am stressing about already. Obviously I'm focussing on that rather than DS1s op.

Mad. Barking mad.

fairyfay · 16/10/2007 21:57

Hello everyone

Just put a horrid word on scrab by accident - didn't mean any offence

upsyderlor · 16/10/2007 21:58

oh, so did you never get in trouble when you were at school then?
OR is it my wording? (punishment exercise)

IamDaisy · 16/10/2007 21:59

hi Ria.....c'mon spill on the menu then? What's he gonna cook?

fairyfay · 16/10/2007 22:00

Foxy - hope all goes well tomorrow. If it's any consolation at all, I am in a constant flap about things not getting done. I am constantly fighting a losing battle against the general disorder and mayhem that rules at home and whatever I do I can't seem to keep it under control - and I only have 2 DCs to deal with

upsyderlor · 16/10/2007 22:00

No, Foxy not barking - i totally feel the same. (monica from friends is my nickname!!)
Have you told him about his op yet?

upsyderlor · 16/10/2007 22:02

ok Ria have i got the wrong end of the stick, were yo not at your DS's school for a parents inroduction night???? (confused emoticon)

frumpyflabbyfurryfarfromfoxy · 16/10/2007 22:04

Yes, told him yesterday after school. He's fine with it on the outside, and he gets 2 weeks off school (half term here next week) and a new Power Rangers toy, plus loads of treats tomorrow. He's grasped my 'rough with the smooth' approach. But he is anxious, I can tell as the other 2 cop more flack than usual.

IamDaisy · 16/10/2007 22:06

Foxy, I forgot about his Op...poor love, and of course you are stressing about the house as a way of stopping you worrying about DS. Is he having a GA?
DS spent his second birthday in the Sick Kids hospital in Edinburgh being out under and having a very nasty headwound stitched, but I'll tell you all about it after tomorrow. He got presents and cards from the ward and the theatre staff and his own personal magic show for 15 minutes....the whole expereince left DH and I wanting to try and engineer every birthday in there

Oh, a real feel good moment here.....we walked with one of DSs classmates and his mum today. DS and this little boy chased each other through all the fallen leaves (whihc were for once nice and dry and not a soggy mess) and were throwing them up in the air and having a lovely time. It was a really warm and fuzzy moment.

Unfortunately DS is now covered in insect bites, but hey ho....they had fun, and this litle boys mum is really nice and we have made arrangements for some playdates

riabutterflew · 16/10/2007 22:07

sorry derlor, never heard that one before.

actually it was fine. DS started off being a nasty little git. I know its his defence mechanism for situations he's uncomfortable in but its still embarrassing and annoying. to give him credit the talk was a bit boring - but me & DH had to behave! But once he'd seen the humanities room and had a go at this in the maths room ,he got really enthusiastic.
I'm glad we went and I think it will be the making of him

OP posts:
IamDaisy · 16/10/2007 22:08

what is he having done foxy?

frumpyflabbyfurryfarfromfoxy · 16/10/2007 22:11

Aren't Autumn walks lovely Daisy?

I had DS2s friend and my lot doing conkering/playing in the leaves etc. His friend got covered in dog poo. oops.

Its the GA which bothers me more than the op I think. I hate the moment when they give him gas and I hand him over.

Anyway, I'm going to bed. Sorry to bring things down. I'll come back tomorrow night and will be in a different mood, I'm sure.

Hopefully he won't have to stay in, but if he does DP has to stay as its probably not a good idea for me to stay overnight with lo.

Sorry, but thank you everyone for your kind thoughts. Night xx

riabutterflew · 16/10/2007 22:14

Lots of love to you & DS foxy. we will all be thinking of you. x.

IamDaisy · 16/10/2007 22:14

It is horrible foxy, but he will be fine. Are you taking DD2 with you?
