Still here, though also watching tv with DH

LittleMissNorty · 24/10/2007 20:43

Hello - I'm lurking, supposed to be working but the university server is down...oh well!

Pics are gorgeous Derlor

upsyderlor · 24/10/2007 20:43

oh hi jammy, did you see the message i wrote you earlier re your HV?

LittleMissNorty · 24/10/2007 20:43

My DD will be 21 weeks on Saturday....I go back to work at 26 weeks, so its like a countdown here

upsyderlor · 24/10/2007 20:45

oh no LMN, well how about turning it around to - yippee 5 more weeks off work??
does that help at ALL??

LittleMissNorty · 24/10/2007 20:45

OMG the thought of having a catheter removed without it being deflated ...I had one with em CS when DD was born, and I didn't feel a thing when it was removed...it is just too awful for words...

LittleMissNorty · 24/10/2007 20:46

Not really ...am going back part-time though ...that helps a LITTLE

foxystein · 24/10/2007 20:52

Asda have a cock-up on their website. 10 cans of Heineken for 10p!

LittleMissNorty · 24/10/2007 20:54

ASDA don't deliver round here...bet they haven't made that mistake in store though!

Hows DS Foxy?

milkyJammy · 24/10/2007 20:54

Yes, thanks Derloe, don't feel so "got at" now.

I'm now talking with my HR dept to work out when I'm going back. I know the date I want to actually go back into the office, but I want to take some annual leave before that. So when I officially return from ML depends on how much annual leave I've got left to take, but because I go back part time, how much annual leave I've got depends on when I return from ML. But looks like I'll be able to officially return on Jan 7th, but have my 1st day at work on Feb 4th.

milkyJammy · 24/10/2007 20:55

Derlor, sorry.

Elsbells · 24/10/2007 20:55

Why do I find stomach crunches painful (all 10 that I did??) I have given birth twice yet exercising is HARDER.

My DD is 20 weeks tomorrow. I can't believe how fast it is going.

LMN are you starting work before xmas then?

LittleMissNorty · 24/10/2007 20:57

Yes 4th December I go back ....my work is being sent to Edinburgh atm at massive expense so they were quite keen to see me back. I also go back to lots of leave which I will take Feb/March when my colleague returns to work from her ML.

Right off to bed...night all x

Elsbells · 24/10/2007 20:58

Beers for 10p??????

milkyJammy · 24/10/2007 20:59

Poor you LMN, but at least you'll have Xmas holidays on the horizon to soften the blow a little.

Elsbells · 24/10/2007 21:00

Night LMN
Oh Jammy I haven't even had my 'am I returning to work chat' with HR yet. Thank god.

I didn't actually start ML til 4 June (was on "hols" 3 weeks before that). BUT ££ runs out very very soon.

I'm ignoring it all for now and will panic when DH can't cover my personal bills (gulp)

Elsbells · 24/10/2007 21:02

Night Delor, Foxy , Jammy and anyone else out there.

I have a funny feeling tonight might be another sleepless night for me.

milkyJammy · 24/10/2007 21:05

I started ML on Jun 13th, Elsbels, when I um, gave birth! Money drops this month from full pay to statuatory (sp?) pay, so DH is going to have to start doing his bit. Not that they've got my pay right even once since I went on ML, but that's a whole different story.

foxystein · 24/10/2007 21:06

Gosh, returning to work? Seems so soon. I do think there's some huge positives to it (like lunchbreaks!) and proper clothes & shoes, oh, and conversations with adults. And your own money. Just a shame that you have to do a job too!

Having needed a fix of two wagon wheels and a piece of Tiffin when I got home (no, it didn't quell my rage, obviously) I am thinking about taking on a new role - as a WeightWatchers Leader! Except they have told me I need to lose half a stone first I thought only size 6 models were told that

DS is fine, thanks. Seems not to have made a lasting impression (until we next go back, probably) DP and I, however, are still fuming.

milkyJammy · 24/10/2007 21:09

Glad DS is OK, Foxy.

Mmmm, wagonwheels, not had one of those in a while

upsyderlor · 24/10/2007 21:14

mmmmmmm tiffin cake. if you become a WW lady then you'll need to change your name as Foxy makes me think of biscuits!!!!

milkyJammy · 24/10/2007 21:15

Well, I'm off to bed, can't bank on DD sleeping through til 5 again.

foxystein · 24/10/2007 21:24

I've been checking out all of your photos on facebook. What lovely babies we all have.

Some fab pics on yours MJ! Very impressive.

upsyderlor · 24/10/2007 21:26

you got your letter ready Foxy?

fairyfay · 24/10/2007 21:28

Foxy, I'd be furious. Make sure you write a really strong letter of complaint setting out exactly what was wrong, and copy it to the head of the hospital trust.
