Bad patch Fury? That sounds unlike you.

Bumperlicious · 24/10/2007 11:13

LMN i'd quite like my lunch now too

milkyJammy · 24/10/2007 11:14

I was using karvol capsules when LO had a cold recently. I actually liked the smell. And when we were in the same room at my mums, it helped me breathe better too (I had the same cold) Mum tells me she used the same capsules on my room when I was a baby, so perhaps its a subconcious memory thing

milkyJammy · 24/10/2007 11:15

I would like my lunch now if I just hadn't raided the fruit bowl to help distract me from LO's protests at being put down for a nap. One clementine, one pear and one banana later, I'm not so peckish and she's asleep.

LittleMissNorty · 24/10/2007 11:17

Bet you don't want baby rice and apple together with 9oz of milk though? No?....why not indeed....my DD loves it

milkyJammy · 24/10/2007 11:18

But I'm off to audit my freezer. Need to work out when it'll be empty so that we can defrost it. It's needed doing for months, but DH keeps buying reduced price meat and filling it up!

HellHathNoFury · 24/10/2007 11:19

Bumper...money is very tight atm as I get paid over a month in arrears, so we have been forking out for petrol, childminders, dogwalkers, cleaners etc etc and nothing has been coming in. I won't get paid until November for the week I did in september.

What with the odding car as well, and now the risk of losing my job, we are under a lot of pressure and we aer both very tired and taking it out on each other. But we are ok.

Bumperlicious · 24/10/2007 11:43

I know all about that Fury. Like you say you know you'll be ok but it's difficult when you are so tired an you can't see the light at the end of the financial tunnel. i look at my credit cards and think even if I paid xxx amount off a month, it'll still be 2 years before i paid them off. then something comes along like car insurance or tax or something. Still as my old colleague used to say "wednesday night, weekend's in sight" hope you and DH get to have a relaxing one.

Funny thread to cheer you up

HellHathNoFury · 24/10/2007 11:49

That's exactly it.
DH says 'oh yes we can afford the car!' but he doesn't take into account that I might not be renewed, or the current vet bills (topping £500), or the car insurance or the random costs that just come with life!!

It will be ok if I keep this job - I can ignore the arseholes provided I keep getting the money.
If I lose the job we hit problems!

HellHathNoFury · 24/10/2007 11:51

ahhh the thread, it's working

milkyJammy · 24/10/2007 12:19

OMG. The freezer isn't getting defrosted anytime soon, we have 31 main meals' worth of fish, chicken, duck, beef, lamb, pork, sausages and burgers stashed away. And none of it bought at full price

milkyJammy · 24/10/2007 12:20

That's 31 meals for 2 people by the way

Elsbells · 24/10/2007 12:23

Hi all
Jammy guess you will be busy cooking away. I really am a believer on "cook-a-thons" to stock our freezer. It saves my life.

Fury how's work?

milkyJammy · 24/10/2007 12:32

Right, time to get ready for the health walk this afternoon. Smell you later.

Elsbells · 24/10/2007 12:33

Have fun walking

HellHathNoFury · 24/10/2007 13:00

Hi Els!
I believe in cookathons too. Saturday I am going to make enough chili to freeze an army and freeze the rest. Trouble is I keep forgetting I have done it, buying loads of veg etc, then insisting I cook from scratch to use up the veg and the frozen stuff never gets used.

I hate food going off!

I am feeling woozy again. Time for more drugs!
How are you els?

Elsbells · 24/10/2007 13:16

Had a crap night with the little ones...I am so tired I want to cry.

And to think I still want one more.
Crazy

HellHathNoFury · 24/10/2007 13:18

I guess you want more because you know they'll grow up and will love you forever and thank you for your sacrfices?

Elsbells · 24/10/2007 13:29

Oh no I want more cause they have been so good for my figure and bank balance.

sorry to hear about your sister btw. That is really sad.

Elsbells · 24/10/2007 13:32

Going for a cheeky lie down whilst DS is watching CBeebies and DD is having a catnap.

That is one thing I don't miss about being at work. Don't think people take to kindly if you were to nap at your desk .

HellHathNoFury · 24/10/2007 13:35

they haven't noticed I exist yet, sleeping would probably be ok. Just as long as I don't use the phone.

Sputnik · 24/10/2007 14:14

Really sleeepy here too, but baby already slept and DD doesn't want too sonot much chance of a nap. The falafels were fairly sucessful in tht she ate 1 big one, and I ate about a million. I am trying to encourage her to eat more adventurously by getting her to cook with me, it's working quite well. BTW falafels are middle eastern: chickpeas, onion, spices, chuck in food processor, shape into rounds or sausages and fry.

Fingers crossed you get renewed Fury, and for your sis. My sil went through 3 rounds of ivf but no go. Theey were both well over 40 by that point though

HellHathNoFury · 24/10/2007 14:14

hmmm

I just tried talking to the upstart. Was argued with then ignored.

Anyone got a blonde voodoo doll?

HellHathNoFury · 24/10/2007 14:15

Yeah my sis is 40 in a couple of months.

We aren't always the best of mates but I feel terrible for her, she wanted it so much.

Sputnik · 24/10/2007 14:28

DD has a knock-off Barbie yoou could have. She likes to roll it around in the earth of the plant pots but other than that she's not interested
