Bumperlicious · 24/10/2007 07:51

oh, hi fury, sorry you feel so shit x

Bumperlicious · 24/10/2007 07:54

Make sure drink lots of water if you have a headache, you are probably dehydrated. And tense so eat lots of choccie to relax!

HellHathNoFury · 24/10/2007 08:01

lol choccies bumper ;-)
If only! porridge all the way here.

Right! I can be useful!
Next sell sleepsuits with 'pocket' thingys on the sleeves which you turn inside out and it becomes a mitten. Genius!
I think all of the sleepsuits there are like that.

I agree with you about the joking to convey real issues. That's why I sent the email in the first place (the one that got me in the shit).

Poor you at 3.20! DS keeps getting up at 5am EVERY DAY which is just about manageable. If he started waking at 3am I'd go sleep downstairs

milkyJammy · 24/10/2007 08:14

Sorry to be smug, but I am SO relieved that LO slept until 5.10 this morning, then from 5.39 - 7.45. That's more like it, better than the 2am (ans even 1.30 Monday night, ouch) that it's been of late.

Fury, I agree that "disciplinary" measures shouldn't be done as jokes. Hope your boss takes his professionalism into account! Seriously, hope today is better for you.

milkyJammy · 24/10/2007 08:15

LOL, I am not an anal time keeper, certainly not early in the morning, that 5.39 was a mistyped 5.30

Bumperlicious · 24/10/2007 08:20

Yeah, it's been 5 the past few days but 3.20 takes the cake! It doesn't seem to make any diff what time we put he down either. I'm tempted to go back to waking her at 10.30 for a feed, but she'd really not want to wake up and it seemed so mean. Still, I preferred it when she slept 11-7!

The mitten sleepsuits are a great idea, but if she is just going to suck on them is it worth it? (at least her fingers will dry, sucked mitts will stay wet and cold iyswim).

Bumperlicious · 24/10/2007 08:22

Jammy, when 5.10 is considered a lie in you've got to worry!

HellHathNoFury · 24/10/2007 08:23

My boss won't think he has done anything wrong. His attitude was - if I hadn't done anything in the first place, there would be no jokes at my expense. So it's my fault.

I was imagining different methods of torture for him whilst on the way to work, it cheered me up.

HellHathNoFury · 24/10/2007 08:25

erm bumper...you got me there.
I don't know!

Put ziploc bags on her hands?

ahh but seriously not sure. DS is soundo once we put him down, nothing wakes him, and he doesn't suck at night so not sure if I can be of much use with advice!

Bumperlicious · 24/10/2007 08:29

I didn't think of this!

milkyJammy · 24/10/2007 08:31

she does go back to sleep after her change & feed. But if she wakes at 5 it means I get 7 hours straight sleep + an hour or 2 after, which is so much better than the 2 blocks of 4 hours which 2am waking brings

milkyJammy · 24/10/2007 08:39

Mmmm, I'd also forgotten about the clocks. It's bad enough sorting the cat out!

IwansMam · 24/10/2007 10:17

Fury, hugs to you and hope today is better than yesterday. I second the chocolate option (but then I'm going out for supplies in a moment).

Bumper, sorry for your shit night. DS didn't repeat 5 times waking performance last night and restricted himself to once. I can also confirm that formula does not make a baby sleep through the night ... chilli flavoured BM didn't go down too well

IwansMam · 24/10/2007 10:19

PS Hi MJ

HellHathNoFury · 24/10/2007 10:36

This thread is so quiet these days. Where has everyone gone?

milkyJammy · 24/10/2007 10:45

I'm here, have been flitting between trying to look after LO and looking online for something new to wear on Friday

LittleMissNorty · 24/10/2007 10:49

Good morning! I'm lurking but really have loads to do....DD woke up at 5.30am this morning...but having been asleep since 6.30pm last night, I can't really complain.

That Karvol plug-in thing stinks! But if it helps her sleep, so be it....

Soory you had such a shite day yesterday TA....hopefully today will be better...I agree with the others....if a boss has something to say, he should be straight...and in private. If I've got something to say to someone, I always do it on our own and I'm straight with them....that's how I like to be treated! Arsehole!

LittleMissNorty · 24/10/2007 10:51

Ohh another "quick and easy" dinner tonight....home-cooked chilli that I've taken out of the freezer.....oh dear...I won't be chained to the cooker today then

Bumperlicious · 24/10/2007 10:54

Am I terrible mum to say that DD's tantrums because she can't get things in her mouth are really starting to piss me off?

It is quiet today. I shall be lurking most of the day as I am waiting for frigging BT to call about my still broken bt vision!

HellHathNoFury · 24/10/2007 10:55

Yes I wish he had spoken to me in private. In some ways he is excellent, in other ways he is an arsehole.

I am doing fajits tonight, if DH doesn't get them once a fortnight he suffers withdrawal....and as we are going through a bit of a difficult patch and we are trying to make amends, I can make him fajitas!

LittleMissNorty · 24/10/2007 10:56

Mmmm we love fajitas in this house...in fact that's on my menu plan for tomorrow night

Hope it works....

milkyJammy · 24/10/2007 11:02

I think if it's home cooked chilli then that doesn't count as a quick and easy dinner. Speaking of which I must plan something to eat tonight.

No Bumper, you're NOT a bad mum, just human.

Why are the plug in Karvol things better then the capsules that you split open and put the liquid on a tissue? Or is it just that the manufacturers have decided we need something more hi-tech than that that they can charge more for? (Sorry for being so cynical)

Sputnik · 24/10/2007 11:02

Me nd DD are about to go and make falafel for lunch, she has to kept in touch with her cultural heritage. Just that I'm going to add pumpkin and cheese, so not very authentic

HellHathNoFury · 24/10/2007 11:05

Bumper you are so not a bad mum.

It's ok to get pissed off!

LittleMissNorty · 24/10/2007 11:11

You're probably right MJ - its just that Derlor and ?Sputnik told me how good it was the other night....didn't realise you could get the same stuff in capsules....horrible smell...we use to have Vics when we were kids

Sputnik....excuse my pig ignorance, but what is falafel?

Oh lunch is being demanded in this house! Thats what happens when you get up at 5.30am ....
