oh sounds nice Ria, can't you just eat chocolate while they drink??? maybe ONLY eat chocolate liquers (??sp) so that it's kind of drinking with a twist?

riabutterflew · 21/10/2007 22:06

justbeme · 21/10/2007 22:12

Hope DD is ok Charlie!
Night

My Dog is dying to go for a walk, but DP is down the pub. He's refusing to go out in the garden, so I can only imagine he needs a no 2!! (hope he can wait til DP gets back!)

Did anyone watch Wife Swap? It was really good - I like it when they impact on each others lives after the swap.

foxystein · 21/10/2007 22:12

Poor DD LMN Hope she is OK. And you are too.

upsyderlor · 21/10/2007 22:13

LMN - is she V chesty?? if you're worried perhaps let her sleep in her baby bouncer/car seat or put a small towel under her mattress to raise it ever so slightly to help her breathe. do you have any olbas oil or a plug in menthol/sudafed thingy??
(think it was my sisters cooking actually, all started about 2 hours after eating her spag bol )

upsyderlor · 21/10/2007 22:15

oh bugger has LMN gone???

upsyderlor · 21/10/2007 22:18

DH and i finished the chocs tonight Foxy they were FAB xx
missed wife swap JBM we're watching Armageddon!

justbeme · 21/10/2007 22:22

Dog and Dp gone out for walk - Brrrrrr its freezing tonight!!

foxystein · 21/10/2007 22:23

You SHARED them WITH DP???

I watched it, JBM. It was a good one.

I did something really, really stupid on Saturday. We had friends staying, but I hadn't been together enough to organise meals because of the week I'd had. So I thought, "I know, I'll go to the local deli and get some quiche, salad and bread".

Its a posh deli. The menu says Mixed Salad £5 a plate. (Its very nice salad BTW). So I filled up two of their take-away tubs, thinking they'll be a fiver each. (Extortionate yes, but I justified it as I needed to make things easy and DP was paying). There was no indication of any other prices for salad I stress to add before I took them to the counter, and obviously you pay BY FUCKING WEIGHT.

Go on, guess how much? Two tubs of salad. Go on.

upsyderlor · 21/10/2007 22:28

uuummmmmmm £12?
and yes, we share the whole box one of each choc each!! (his idea NOT mine ) jsut changed my order actually so i get a box every 8 weeks 12 weekly is just TOO long

foxystein · 21/10/2007 22:29

OK, I'll tell you (everyone is obviously pondering this one for too long)

£16.75!!! And I was too embarrassed not to cough up because its such a posh deli. I still feel really guilty about it.

Its not like I could put it back. I'd still be picking chick peas out of the potato salad now.

Rant over. thank you.

LittleMissNorty · 21/10/2007 22:30

Hi - just checked quickly and saw your message Derlor - thanks (and everyone else)...I will put a towel under her mattress...great idea. I have olbass oil but didn't seem to help. I can't work it out...it doesn't appear to be in her nose as there is no snot or dribbles (sorry) but when she sits on my lap you can feel it when you put your hands on her chest / back IYKWIM. GP listened with a stethoscope, said chest infection and wrote prescription, told me to expect runny nappies and to look out for a rash - that's it....end of consultation!

Oh well....see what they say tomorrow....it is just horrible all this worrying...but I'm sure its something all mums do! Just haven't had anything to worry about with her before now!

Right, definitely off now...see you all tomorrow x

LittleMissNorty · 21/10/2007 22:31

Fucking hell £16.75....can tell you live in London...

Night...I'm DEFINATELY going now

upsyderlor · 21/10/2007 22:31

£16.75 for salad????? bargin!
oh they MUST think you're REALLY posh and rich to be buying that!

justbeme · 21/10/2007 22:33

OMG Foxy!!

Next time, go to Asda - you'd have got a 5 course meal for that!!

foxystein · 21/10/2007 22:34

I like Karvol for snuffly stuff (the baby Vicks vapour rub is nice too). I put drops on a muslin and tie it on the cot bars. I also put a book under each of the top legs of the cot to raise it slightly.

Would a steamy bathroom help to loosen her chest? Close the door, turn the hot taps on and let it steam up. A few minutes in there might help.

upsyderlor · 21/10/2007 22:34

hope it helps LMN x
right i'm off to bed now, doubt my LO will sleep for 15 hours though!!!
night all x

foxystein · 21/10/2007 22:36

Posh and rich?! LOL! If only

riabutterflew · 21/10/2007 22:37

doesn't the chest massage bit of baby massage help with that? why don't they make baby breatheeasy bath anymore? hope you get results at GP tomorrow charlie, I will no doubt be gone, but lots of love to DD.

That, foxy, is not exactly a 99p bag of salad from tesco. I hope you chipped a tooth on one of the diamond croutons or something. dare I ask how much they charge for quiche? I take it they were friends you enjoy being with?
