yes...everywhere....I first noticed it on her head and face but that can be quite normal for her....heat and all that....but stripped her off and its everywhere........she doesn't seem too bothered by it though thankfully so doc will probably say to stop giving her ABs and back to GP tomorrow...Great...another fight getting an appointment!

milkyJammy · 21/10/2007 13:22

Sorry to hear DD's not well LMN.

DD was obviously tired a little while ago but didn't seem to want to nap and wouldn't be comforted to sleep . So we took the hard decision to leave her crying for a max of 15 mins in the hope that she would give in and sleep. I went out to get us some bread (DH was at home) and was horrified to hear her from the street! But just before her 15 mins was up she fell asleep and it is now eerily quiet.

justbeme · 21/10/2007 16:08

Afternoon whoever lurks!!

Well L slept for 13 hrs last night without wanting a feed!!! - (1st time ever that I didnt have to get up)
Then she fed, went back to sleep and 2.5 hrs later it was 11:30am and she was STILL asleep, so I woke her up!!! Wow - I bet that was a one off!!!

milkyJammy · 21/10/2007 16:26

wow, jbm, that's a lot of sleep!

Unfortunately our DD has been sleeping much worse at night over the past week. I hope it's just with us having been away, but she did sleep for 3 hours this afternoon and is now having the BIGGEST feed ever.

milkyJammy · 21/10/2007 16:57

Have just put some carrots on to cook, ready to puree and freeze for DD.Not sure when we're going to start weaning, but as we have a glut of carrots on the veg rack at the moment, thought I would do this bwfore they're past their best.

fairyfay · 21/10/2007 19:07

Norty - sorry to hear lo is unwell.
JBM - wow 13 hours, that's great. fingers crossed for a repeat performance!

Anyone fancy scrab?

fairyfay · 21/10/2007 19:08

Jammy - you're shaming me by cooking for lo before you even start weaning. I really must get my act together and do some freezer cooking tomorrow

milkyJammy · 21/10/2007 19:22

Well we get a "chemical-free" (I guess they don't meet some criteria to be able to use the organic label?) veg box each week from a local farm, and only just manage to eat it all normally. But with being away last week we ate rather differently, tending towards easier meals and less fresh veg, so thought this was better than wasting it.

riabutterflew · 21/10/2007 19:22

I am very of 13 hours sleep.

Hope DDs rash is better LMN.

Hi fairyfay & jammy.

DH will be steaming and freezing pumpkin & squash tomorrow as we now have a squash dalek and a green pumpkin with monster eyes. No packing done yet though

new game no maths involved

riabutterflew · 21/10/2007 19:24

your provider is probably going through the process of becoming organic jammy, I think they have to be "chemical free" for a few years for the residue to get out of the soil?

OP posts:
fairyfay · 21/10/2007 19:29

Hi Ria, I like the new game!

milkyJammy · 21/10/2007 19:35

Hi Ria. Sorry if it's been asked, but passed me by - where are you off to?

riabutterflew · 21/10/2007 19:40

I haven't played it, it's DHs contribution to this weekend.

It will be nice to get away so I aren't here to watch him doing sod all. I wonder if he will still moan and groan about his shoulder hurting if there's noone to listen?

these are worth a look too. I don't do halloween really, but the local opticians do an annual competition.

hi jammy. I'm taking the boys to the Dales with my parents. DH is staying at home. Will probably be back on Friday. I'll have a mad panic to get ready tomorrow morning - I hate packing.

OP posts:
milkyJammy · 21/10/2007 19:51

Sounds good Ria. Have a nice time. Perhaps a few days apart will make you and DH appreciate each other more? I know it does with me and mt DH

milkyJammy · 21/10/2007 19:53

And packing is easy-peasy! It's just throwing stuff into bags after all. Preparing the stuff that is to be packed is the real challenge

riabutterflew · 21/10/2007 19:55

who knows?!

It would be nice if he was coming too - I am dreading night feeds by myself as DH sometimes does winding and settling, but he might get some stuff done at home if the boys aren't here to distract him.

I think it's a bit of that sympathy fatigue DG once mentioned

I should come back thinner as DM isn't one for overeating or late night snacking!

OP posts:
riabutterflew · 21/10/2007 19:57

I hate unpacking too...

I wish LO would finish this feed and settle long enough for me to finish the ironing.

OP posts:
milkyJammy · 21/10/2007 20:02

Well, if you insist on ironing... It's thoroughly overated in my opinion (most of the time anyway). But I understand that it can give a warm glow of satisfaction, so don't let me tell you what to do

milkyJammy · 21/10/2007 20:03

And I agree about unpacking. In this house DH seems to think that we get home and that's it, the fairies come and unpack, wash and dry clothes and put things away.

Rabbitbreath · 21/10/2007 20:11

hi motherhurdicure

i dont like exercise that much, but Pushy Mums is ok as I don't find it too tough - definitely not my idea of having fun though, but I desperately need the exercise!!

And yes, we do chat a little bit during the walking, but because I am so unfit I am normally too exhausted to talk in any case.

Afterwards some of us have coffee in the cafe there in the woods - so it is a nice way to socialise with other mums.

I have also met some lovely ladies at dd's swimming and signing and signing classes, which is great!

Clarabumps · 21/10/2007 20:49

i was so pround of myself yesterday. The mountain of ironing that has been occupying my bedroom for three months(since ds birth) has finally been demolished and all put away. I keep opening my drawers and admiring it! i even ironed bibs!Think i deserve a round of applause.God bless strictly come dancing as a distraction.
