Hello

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
oooggs · 16/10/2007 18:17

mine won't be walking by then - no way too early, ds1 was 16 months - he was too good at crawling and climbing

nappynuttynormabutty · 16/10/2007 18:20

Erin rolled from her front to her back yesterday, but won't do it the other way...she must know that she's not keen on being on her front!!!

CaptainDippy · 16/10/2007 18:21

P ate two slices of pizza yesterday!!

Idreamofbroomsticks · 16/10/2007 18:25

Dippy . Mind you, S will scoff cake given the opportunity (which isn't often, unless dh is around - he thinks it's funny).

NorthernLurker · 16/10/2007 18:28

Impressive pizza eating - thats my kind of baby! Still babies are nice - but B seems like her biggest sister - and so will be commando crawling any minute now. Don't expect to see walking till the spring though.

runnyhabbit · 16/10/2007 18:30

lol at mobile babies
W can sit for a quite a while on his own - a good few minutes [proud mummy emoticon] until he decides he wants whats his bother is playing with - then he falls over trying to reach it

And he likes marmite on toast

Idreamofbroomsticks · 16/10/2007 18:30

Can't see S walking or indeed crawling for a while. She is very stable on her feet and very good at standing up and sitting unsupported. She just doesn't have any interest whatsoever in actually moving anywhere.

runnyhabbit · 16/10/2007 18:30

brother (lol at bother)

CaptainDippy · 16/10/2007 19:32

They are the best kind, IDOB - DD1 was like that - she just sat, all happy and conented til she was 16 months (), then she crawled, walked at 2!! DD2 was an entirely different kettle of fish - commando crawling at 5 months, crawling at 6, cruising at 8/9 months, walking at 11 months - funny how different they all are. DD2 never did the "sitting thing", just crawled and walked - Hoping P will be more like DD1, much easier!

MurderousMaveta · 16/10/2007 19:33

at P eating 2 slices of pizza! Whatta girl!

N is sitting unsupported for good few seconds at a time now, Mum is already trying to get him to crawl We are eyeing up the house very nervously and many an afternoon mutterings of ´attach that shelving unit to the wall, move cleaning bottles out of reach, locks for low kitchen cupboards´ can be heard throughout the maveta household

NorthernLurker · 16/10/2007 19:37

CD - your dd2 sounds like my dd1 - and B is reminding us of her a lot! dd2 was my quiet, sit and play babe

Sexonlegs · 16/10/2007 20:01

Evening all.

Wow, listen to you proud mummies! And pizza!!!???

I am of the mind that K won't be doing much in the near future. She still seems so small. She does roll from her back to her front quite easily, but cannot see her sitting up for a while.

Also I am getting a bit concerned about her eating. I know she is only just coming up for 6 months, but she just doesn't seem bovvered! Smiles at me and then pushes it out of her mouth! Plus with her slow weight gain, I am all a dither!!

Sorry, self absorbed post.

Hope you are all well. x

SharpMolarBear · 16/10/2007 20:34

hi everyone
Sol, that's pretty much all t's doing, the sitting up was with a toy (forgot to mention), he rolls and is trying to crawl but getting nowhere fast
He's wide awake tonight - mummy and daddy want to watch 24

kneehighinnappies · 16/10/2007 21:04

Evening all I'm here in the evening!
As we are all proud mummies thought I would chuck my hat into the ring, L can roll all over the room and pull herself along and sit unaided, and when we lowered her door bouncer (by accident) she was standing up
Z is good he just lies on his back and plays with his feet, bless him, he is so docile and cuddlie.
Unfortunatly dh has man flu AGAIN!!!!
It appreas that z is unwell as well and dd1 has a sore throat, mine is feeling a little scratchie so I am on the honey, vanilla and chamomile tea (with extra honey) to see if I can give this virus the body swerve.

And can you believe this I started to write this hours ago and since then dd1 has chucked all over the carpet z has been screaming the house down and dh has been dying of man flu on the couch and left me to deal with the lot! damn this man flu
Anyway I was going to chat tonight but after that I'm KNACKERED, so I'm off to bed.

leakyR · 16/10/2007 21:11

Good evening

Knackered again. G is Mr Cling at mo and seems generally quite frustrated with the world. Cross with his toys, his dinner, even me and DH at times.

He can roll like a demon now. Need watch him at all times. Can sit up quite well but usually tips over trying to grab something that has caught his eye. Can also push himself backwards across the floor with his arms when on his tummy - I've never done this before but I reckon he'll be crawling soon.

Valuation of flat was higher than we expected Only worry is that the market is pretty slow at minute so don't want to get too carried away looking for houses in case we can't shift this place for a while.

Eva is out of NICU!! BIL and SIL are staying with her in a room on the children's ward. Still waiting to hear about MRI - likely to be Thursday evening before the relevant doctor can speak with them. DH spoke to his mum today (she's still down in London at SIL's house) and although the news seems good he said she didn't seem very positive I'm hoping it's just the frustration of waiting.

Sexonlegs · 16/10/2007 21:22

Leaky, what wonderful news about Eva. Maybe your mil is just tired and has come across as negative. It must be so hard for you all. x

CaptainDippy · 16/10/2007 21:30

wow at all these movable babies! Think P will just sit tight and eat pizza a while longer yet!!

Yey for Eva being out of NNIC - great stuff - awiaitng MRI results - hope it is good news. xx

Done my bit for tutoring (English), so DH is down there now, exposing the poor girl to some maths - Mwah ha ha ha .....

mammyjo · 16/10/2007 21:32

Fab news about Eva leaky!! Hoping that she continues to improve

SOL, I wouldnt worry too much about the food thing with K. I think that some take quickly to the idea and others dont. Keep persevering, I am sure she will get the hang of it eventually! F is small too, got her weighed last week and she is 16lb exactly at 28 weeks, which is weeny compared to some of the babies here!

Good to see you KHIN, hope you manage to dodge the flu

Am off to bed now as working in the morning. May be back on tomorrow night, depending how tired I am and what time I get home. In for a busy day tomorrow as it is one of busiest clinics! Eeeeeeeek!!

oooggs · 16/10/2007 21:36

Leaky fantastic news on baby Eva xx & good luck on flat sale

CaptainDippy · 16/10/2007 21:38

No idea how much P weighs - she's a heifer though!! I love her triple chins!!

elkiedee · 16/10/2007 21:41

SOL, wouldn't worry if I were you.

Talked to my mum earlier, my stepsister (her dh's daughter) had a baby in mid-March, and apparently H is worrying that her son's not sitting up unaided etc. We agreed that she shouldn't mention D's 2 teeth to H or to my mum's dh, as he says some rather undiplomatic things to his own daughter! The point is anyway, they all do different things at different stages, however much we'd like to believe our own little darling is smarter than the average bear cub, they'll probably all get to around the same place in the end in different ways.

Just had a lovely piece of news tonight, my little sister has been offered the job she really really wanted, a training contract as a solicitor. The firm she most wanted to work for as well.

elkiedee · 16/10/2007 21:45

Great news about Eva, Leaky, hope that the MRI news is more encouraging. In case it's not obvious, there were about 10 posts while I was typing my own.

CaptainDippy · 16/10/2007 21:45

Great news Elkie!

All babies are different and develop at different rates - chill! xxxxxx

Sexonlegs · 16/10/2007 22:09

I know I know. I just keep bloody comparing her to B which I know I shouldn't do!!! She is K and that's what I need to remember!
Off to bed now, so see you lovelies in the a.m xxxx

CaptainDippy · 16/10/2007 22:10

Indeed! Night hon. xx
