I think all that talk of superheroes made us all a bit feisty

OP posts:

Got a pile of clothes and toys at the sale The musical activity cow kept going off in the boot on the way home which was quite amooooosing

riabutterflew · 13/10/2007 13:18

yay for all the sleepy babies!

baggins woke at 2am, then ds2 got up at 5am with a poorly tummy and nasty night-nappy. just got him cleaned up then baggins woke again, then again at 7.30. Lovely DH let me have a nice lie in though.

HellHathNoFury · 13/10/2007 14:26

I am not working today! Been christmas shopping. Am now KNACKERED and going to go to sleep if I can.

Bumperlicious · 13/10/2007 14:32

Christmas shopping?! Already?! Yer mad woman!

udderleyfoxy · 13/10/2007 14:47

I would like to point out I don't actually have hair on my upper lip, due to epilation. I don't want anyone thinking I'm sat here looking like a werewolf or anything.

udderleyfoxy · 13/10/2007 14:49

loving christmas already! time to start cooking puds and cakes

(who am i kidding, its a vision that won't be a reality)

Bumperlicious · 13/10/2007 14:54

sounds painful foxy!

Bumperlicious · 13/10/2007 14:54

thanks for the email btw, i've replied!

IamDaisy · 13/10/2007 16:04

bloody hell you lot have been chatty. It was quiet last night so I went to join DH in the front room (seemed rude not to) and I missed SG

Glad you're back with us and hope that things are settling down. We've missed you . I'm very very of the weight loss.

bumper, I got your e-mail, but have been busy so not had a chance to reply, and everytime I try to write, one or other of the DCs or my DH is demaning my attention.

I had a big meltdown with DS earlier and feeling a bit shitty as a result, but AIBU to expect him to do as he's asked first time every time? He kept running about in the supermarket this morning picking random shite off the shelves, including a chicken, some coffee pods and some farking cheese strings ("everyone else gets them in their lunch bow, it's not fair, wah wah wah") and after the sixth time of me asking him not to and trying to get him to stay by the trolley, I lost it big time and threatened him with physical violence if he didn't stop running around

Looks like I'm talking to myself though at the minute.

IamDaisy · 13/10/2007 16:26

Derlor...we have booked a cottage for Christmas week in Scotland...a whole week, sheer luxury. We'll be up from 22nd - 29th, so if you want to meet up (and tallulah and MHC and anyone else north of the border) and aren't too fettered with family commitments, we quite fancied a trip through to Glasgow.

MHC, we'll be staying in cellardyke!

Bumperlicious · 13/10/2007 16:29

Hi daisy!

Bumperlicious · 13/10/2007 16:32

Sorry about your meltdown! I always wanted to be the mum in that advert who's boys has a tantrum on the supermarket floor so she does the same then gets up and just give him that look that says "get over here and stop being such an evil devil child!"

Oooh, code brown situation, back in a bit...

riabutterflew · 13/10/2007 16:56

daisy, you are NOT being unreasonable with your DS. Both my big boys have the same problem with instructions and it drives us MAD,

but, you ARE being unreasonable having two, lovely, luxurious relaxing holidays of which i am very very very ...

Blondenomore · 13/10/2007 17:22

Hiya Daisy! No, not unreasonable at all. I seem to have been telling DD not to do this that the other ALL day - DH too, and yes this is the thing that drives us mad too. Having to ask, once, twice, three, four , etc etc I loose it pretty quickly I have to say shouty mum comes. This week she has drawn on the coffee table with green felt, had a wee on our lounge rug, drawn on a toy becuase it needed decorating and got black felt all over my spare white duvet cover - she is four and a half I might add. I put it down to school - and her new 'friend' whom I am not keen on.

Yes, dandruff here too - no hair on lip but hair on chin - have to pluck it - it arrived after having DD

Blondenomore · 13/10/2007 17:25

I might add that all drawing things have been removed and are only allowed out under close supervision at the kitchen table.

Oh the other thing she does is play with DSs toys more than here own (she has a room full FFS!!) and is very noisy at times either making DS cry or waking him up.

But I do love her to bits and she is lovely and sweet most of the time. Right supposed to be getting ready. Must go.

upsyderlor · 13/10/2007 17:28

Oh Daisy, YANBU - i have lost it BIG time on a daily basis with my DD for much the same. must be a stage???? worrying though couse my DD is only 3 1/2 so maybe 2 years to go then?
AND i would LOVE to meet up just name the day DH off until 27th so he could look after my older 2 and i could just bring my delicious baby to the meet up - aaahhhhh bliss
SG, just 1 cheeky wee hair?

upsyderlor · 13/10/2007 17:30

i totally feel your pain SG, "all drawing things have been removed and are only allowed out under close supervision at the kitchen table." think our DD's are cloned!!!!

upsyderlor · 13/10/2007 17:32

sorry for lack of punctuation in previous post - here is some to make up for it .,.,.!!":::;;

IamDaisy · 13/10/2007 17:35

I have a hair growing at the edge of my aereole . It appeared when I was pg with DD. i don't have the courage to pluck it

upsyderlor · 13/10/2007 17:38

go on Daisy, i dare you! can't be more painful than all the feeding pain you've een through
BTW thanks for your email the other day - for some reason you have my DH's email address and he forgot to tell me about you mail - i wasn't ignoring you x

upsyderlor · 13/10/2007 17:38

right must sort out the tea back tonight x

HellHathNoFury · 13/10/2007 17:44

Daisy YANBU.
When I was little I was so naughty I wrecked a total M&S window display and ran down all the shelves with my arms outstretched.

I was banned.

Mum was so furious she pulled my knickers down and gave me a wallop. Some woman came screaming up to her and said 'You can't do that I am going to report you to social services!' to which Mum replied "Good! You can bloody well keep her!" and gave me to the woman and then she stormed off.

I was a devil child.

Bumperlicious · 13/10/2007 17:58

Fury it's only since having a child of my own that i can say i'm not shocked at that sort of behaviour from mothers! i can imagine how it can get to that stage! my mum used to threaten to put us up for adoption, and not in jest!

re hairs. i have just 1 hair that grows in my cleavage, even though i pluck it the bugger always grows back!

riabutterflew · 13/10/2007 18:07

fury, i have M&S issues too!

my mum used to pretend (I think!) to pack my stuff and ring the childrens home...

school does have a lot to answer for. Apparently they misbehave at home cos they feel safe.

HellHathNoFury · 13/10/2007 18:18

hahaha

I was an evil child.
I have uploaded some new pics of DS on FB. Don't they grow so quick.
