fun games for lo's

milkyJammy · 10/10/2007 12:52

Right, we're off to try a health walk! It's meant to be a 2 mile walk, which would be fine, but we have a 1.5 mile walk each way to get to it, so 5 miles in total, which is further than we've been together.

BadZelda · 10/10/2007 13:01

woah MJ - I was just considering a gentle stroll round the block!

HellHathNoFury · 10/10/2007 13:09

I haven't chucked my job in, just the people that manage my accounts. But they have sweet talked me into staying by slating the opposition, and as their reasoning seemed valid, I will!

teabag007 · 10/10/2007 13:17

thanks bz, i just enjoyed playing on your link

wow mj are you in training for a long distance something?! such energy! (we've been for a walk around the garden)

sorry fury, i got the wrong end of the stick - so you haven't chucked your job in and you haven't terminated your management consultancy after all - still it gave you something to do terminating them temporarily...

HellHathNoFury · 10/10/2007 13:18

lol teabag
Yeah when I am bored I sack people then hire them again, just for shits and giggles... they are my 'executive toys'

justbeme · 10/10/2007 13:33

afternoon - just getting prepared to take L to drs for 2nd jabs - i hate it!!!!

Let my dog out into the garden this morning and there was a flightless pigeon out there! My dog went mad chasing it - I bet the neighbours wondered what was going on with me chasing him around shouting "leave!"
I was trying to get out the house to go to a new baby group - but I abandoned the idea as first I had to catch the dog, put him in the house and try and shoo the bird out the gate - no luck. at which point the dog and L were both screaming!!
I know it must still be in my garden - probably died of a heart attack.

BadZelda · 10/10/2007 13:44

Shame, JBM - that sounds stressful. Why was it flightless? Too young?

Elsbells · 10/10/2007 13:57

Right what a day....DD is not happy, very grizzly and not herself.

It's going to be a long day.

I have finally joined Facebook. How do I see your group? My friends have been on at me to join and even my techno phobe boss is on it so I just had to do it.

teabag007 · 10/10/2007 13:57

just what you didn't need when trying to get out jb!
good luck with jabs

Elsbells · 10/10/2007 13:59

Just reading the morning posts. I never lost weight after DS until AFTER I stopped BF him at 4mo.

Just stopped BF DD 2 weeks ago so am hoping the same thing will happen.

Hardly any of my RL friends lost weight BF so we are not alone.

teabag007 · 10/10/2007 14:03

hi ells, sorry to hear about the grizzles - has she had jabs recently? I think we're experiencing increasing apetite here which also seems to fuel the grizzling, antoher growth spurt perhaps....

daisyandbabybootoo · 10/10/2007 14:05

I just got my free nappies from the council incentive scheme. Two Baby Beehinds hemp/cotton and they are fab. A plain cream one which is hemp/cotton mix, and a shocking pink one which is bamboo/organic cotton mix. Lots of adjustability with poppers everywhere.

the wrap looks nice too, but doesn't have leg gussets so we'll see how good that is, but yay for my council for keeping up with the scheme even though govt funding has been withdrawn.

I love free fluff

teabag007 · 10/10/2007 14:16

daisy, do you have something of a nappy habit?! Must find out what freebies might be available round here to give cloth a go. One of my reasons for coming on mn was to be persuaded / reassured on the nappy front - i'm scared of cloth and associated washing and muck, still working up to it. My current excuse is dd still too small i think and they'll fall off (teabag hangs head in shame)

Elsbells · 10/10/2007 14:22

hiya teabag
it's her teeth defo.flaming red cheeks and all.

Daisy, I applaud you 4 getting on w/real nappies. I just couldn't imagine doing it. I can barely keep up w/my regular laundry.

bumperlicious · 10/10/2007 14:32

Back again, hi elsbells and teabag, and hi again to pingu, sorry that things are so shite for you, but both foxy and daisy have done the same and come out the other side (relatively sane!).

New flat is fab, washing machine delivered yesterday and was actually more exciting than I expected! Can't work the farking oven though. It has a temp dial, a dial with pictures and some buttons . Gas central heating though !

LO didn't get jabs as she had a temp, but that's actually good as DH is off next wednesday so he can hold her!

DH just rang and said "don't worry about doing any unpacking today" err, I wasn't, the broadband is back on dontcha know!

The feeding is mostly going ok for now. Went back to the CrOsteo monday who said DD has such a tight neck, if she were an adult he'd be doing some bone cracking , going back next monday. I wonder if it's my fault for not picking her up properly when she was little...

bumperlicious · 10/10/2007 14:42

daisy, did you get to keep the nappies? Our local nappaccino do a hire scheme but someone said the nappies were really cruddy. DH won't let me buy any more as we haven't really got on with any, except the motherease.

udderleyfoxy · 10/10/2007 14:48

shittyfarkingarsebollox

I am tired
lo doesn't need any sleep it seems
fenugreek is making me smell worse than I already do (blardy hormones making me sweaty)
i am feeding, feeding, feeding

MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.

BadZelda · 10/10/2007 14:51

Yeah I found that with the fenugreek - but then I read when you can smell it then your body has got up to optimum density and you can stop taking it. That happened after 4 capsules with me and haven't taken any since. Seems like there's been plenty of milk since then.
4 month spurt won't be forever...but sounds hard foxy ;( My LO knows mummy needs the day off today...she has been asleep except for feeds at 11, 12.30, 1.30 and 2.30...actually that sounds a lot now that I've typed it out!

bumperlicious · 10/10/2007 14:53

Foxy, crap. Fenugreek is vile! It's so frustrating when you need to get stuff done and the LO's decide they want to feed all day!

DD just wants to suck on something all the time! It's terrible but it's got to the point where I slide her off the breast and the dummy in her mouth (bad mummy!)

udderleyfoxy · 10/10/2007 14:54

Thanks BZ - and I meant to say, thanks for your earlier post - you are very kind!

udderleyfoxy · 10/10/2007 14:56

Big Cook Little Cook isn't helping my mood. They are wankers.

BadZelda · 10/10/2007 14:57

Well, weirdly I find sometimes more kids are easier to entertain.

V worried about my cat - she just started sneezing blood. And she won't let me check if she's got a scratch on her nose from fighting or internal bleeding. Eek!

udderleyfoxy · 10/10/2007 15:02

I found that too BZ. Andour girld do get on.

Am going for coffee in Monday with a mum I met at HV clinic yesterday. Think I may have been a bit pushy, insisting we swapped numbers then texting her later, she probably thinks I'm barking!

udderleyfoxy · 10/10/2007 15:02

And our girls do get on is obviously what I meant!
