Too far away from me then DKMA. Shame. I want to enter a competition at our local photography club, subject "Transport", and I was just thinking today that it'd be cool if I knew someone with a horse.

TheNappyNipper · 08/10/2007 19:58

My laptop isn't playing

does anybody know what this means.

It runs, I think, on windows XP, it's 5 years old, and when I log on I get a message box titled "smart bridge alerts: MotiveSB.exe - entry pooint not found"

In the message box itself it says "the procedure entry point GetProcessImageFileNameW could not be located in the dynamic link library PSAPI.DLL"

I think it's got something to do with the wireless connection as this has stopped working, and if I try to open it, the window flickers up and then disappears immediately. The plug in wireless adapter isn't flashing anymore

We tried to uninstall the softwars, and it says it's uninstalled but it's still in the programs list and the shortcut is still on the desk top.

Any of you compooter bods have a clue?

BadZelda · 08/10/2007 20:01

Sounds like a file accidentally got trashed or moved (not very helpful, that?) I think XP has a rollback feature that lets you 'reset' the computer to a specific date e.g. before you installed a certain piece of software...but not sure where it is? (more of a machead, me)

faylisa · 08/10/2007 20:03

Sorry 'tis all gobbldigook to me

BadZelda · 08/10/2007 20:03

daisy - I thinkl this is what you need (instructions a couple of scrolls down here

udderleyfoxy · 08/10/2007 20:07

Mine does that daisy. i ignore it.

Sorry to hear about MRRs fright. DS1 had a scare which really knocked his confidence when he was about 2.5. I think it set him back (compared to his little brother) but he has (finally) turned the corner and has learnt to swim.

BZ - you are right, certainly in London, when they are only used for the school run.

milkyJammy · 08/10/2007 20:09

Mr MilkyJammy Here

Description of the problem
here

Fix is to

Click start
Click run
Enter msconfig
Click OK
A dialog should appear
Click on startup tab
Look through the startup column for something like startbridge or the command column for something ending in motivesb.exe (you can expand the column width by dragging)
When you have located it uncheck the item
Click OK and restart

faylisa · 08/10/2007 20:10

Sorry to hear about scarey swimming story. That sounds very irresponsible of the teacher/life-guards

milkyJammy · 08/10/2007 20:26

Where'd everybody go?

TheNappyNipper · 08/10/2007 20:31

i tried that BZ and the dll file was in my norton AV software. It won;t let me re-name it.

I've tried to reinstall the wireless usb, and it says it needs to remove the old program files, so i click yes, it does it, but when I click install again, it does the same thing and is going round in bloody circles. I farking hate computers.

I don't want to take it to anyone to fix, as they will only laugh at it (tis 5 years old after all)

I've also tried uninstalling the software using the install/remove on the computer and it says it's uninstalled but it is still there....aaaaarrrrrrrssssssereeeeeee

udderleyfoxy · 08/10/2007 20:33

sorry, I was off doing what Mr MJ said - thanks Mr MJ. do you like your new name BTW?

SuperPooFighter · 08/10/2007 20:35

Wow daisy,poor MMR.

TheNappyNipper · 08/10/2007 20:39

thanks Mr MJ I've got rid of the smart bridge doodahwotsit warning, but I still can't uninstall and reinstall the wireless USB software...it keeps going around in blardy circles as described below.

riabutterflew · 08/10/2007 20:40

toyour DS daisy. Hope he's ok.

we find on our country lanes that 4x4s are the ones who DON'T wimpishly slow down and mount the verge to let mere car types pass. That's why I want one!

raw bacon IS rank MJ.do you like steak tartare?

I am on sertraline(sp?) dkma. only started it friday. I think I feel so crap because of that, my man-flu and AF (tmi). That and the house is a tip cos I feel too crap to tidy.

Oh, and I haven't had any alcohol since Friday

Probably I just need a cold bottle of wine and a good cry.

You know its quite common to have a 4/5 month wobble. was only discussing it the other day with some RL friends (yes! I do have some! )

SuperPooFighter · 08/10/2007 20:49

Hey Ria, we can be alcohol free together

Pass that virtual bottle of chilled white over here please....

Elsbells · 08/10/2007 20:50

Happy Bday TA - sounds like DH is wanting some loving soon w/those ann summers vouchers.

Ria sorry ur having a crap day. It's totally understandable feeling blue. I recommend a glass or 2 of wine (or more?)

sometimes a good cry can do wonders. You can always moan as much as you want on here

milkyJammy · 08/10/2007 20:51

Yes, when we had steak tartare in Belgium I thought it was yum! The waiter couldn't believe that some English people were ordering it and knew what it was and actually wanted it, and then actually liked it

Anyway I'll hand over to Mr MJ again...

faylisa · 08/10/2007 20:52

I seem to be having a 4 month wobble and a 2 year wobble simultaneously. In my case a couple of nights of 8 hours interrupted sleep would probably do the trick

faylisa · 08/10/2007 20:53

or rather UNinterrupted sleep

TheNappyNipper · 08/10/2007 20:53

Ria, I felt farking awful for the first week n sertraline. It gave me the sort of headache that I couldn't open my eyes for. apinkillers would numb the pain for half an hour (it never left completely) before it came back with a vengeance. Stick it out lovely lady, it does get better. And provided you stay off the booze till you're feeling better, all will be lovely with the world.

babyboo went down at 7 this evening, after fighting sleep from five o'clock. she has discovered that if she screeches she can keep herself awake, but then she just gets really cross and starts to sob and cry.

sometimes I think her behaviour isn't normal is it too early to noticy any behavioural issues or am I just being an anxious worrywort?

milkyJammy · 08/10/2007 20:56

Mr MJ again

What is the problem with the wireless USB that requires reinstalling ?
What make/model is the wireless USB ?
Have you tried getting the latest install program from the manufacturers website ?
Have you tried reinstalling with the wireless usb connected/unconnected ?
