Happy Birthday TA! and I want to know - is the new car Pink??

So I take it that Holly you are now not out of pocket??

Dontknowmyarsefrommyelbow · 08/10/2007 18:02

Oh I do feel better now!

riabutterflew · 08/10/2007 18:07

I'm a bad person too, not to mention a bit of a bitch.

But I'm too tired to care. I feel like shit. I suppose it's side effects of the ADs.

I don't have a 4x4, but I would like one, but I do live in the country if that makes it better?

I'm sure we can all be a bit of a bitch when the mood takes us. I know I can. So lets not get into a discussion of who's good/bad or better/worse, we're all doing a grand job in our own ways, doing the best we can - what more can we do than that?!

udderleyfoxy · 08/10/2007 18:29

Wise words Milkyjammy.

Happy Birthday TA! sorry for not wishing it to you earlier . I remembered yesterday, but not today.

BadZelda · 08/10/2007 18:31

Oops - wasn't trying to be bitchy or one-up-ish at all - so sorry if it came across that way. Off to hide under my rock again.

milkyJammy · 08/10/2007 18:36

Sorry BZ, I wasn't meaning to have a go at anyone. [hangs head in shame]

udderleyfoxy · 08/10/2007 18:39

Didn't notice anyone being bitchy ... everyone over-tired and sensitive - I know I am!

udderleyfoxy · 08/10/2007 18:40

Holly - I am laughing outloud at your DPs stupidity. Sorry.

riabutterflew · 08/10/2007 18:44

very well put jammy.

I am just cross with myself for feeling crappy, sorry to drag everyone down with me.

udderleyfoxy · 08/10/2007 18:45

Why are you feeling crappy Ria?

And STOP APOLOGISING

SuperPooFighter · 08/10/2007 18:50

That accident might deserve a runners-up prize in the Darwin Awards

faylisa · 08/10/2007 19:00

Ria - sorry you are feeling down. I think it's been a bit of a crappy day all around unfortunately.

milkyJammy · 08/10/2007 19:30

Sorry you're feeling crappy Ria.

And I never got round to saying Happy Birthday TA.

I've just enjoyed one of my guilty pleasures - nibbling at raw bacon . DH thinks it's rank, and I haven't done it since getting pregnant last year. But was just pimping up a marguerrita (sp?) pizza with bacon, mushroom and pineapple and I cou;dn't resist.

milkyJammy · 08/10/2007 19:36

Darwin Awards reminds me of the Fortean Times Book of Strange Deaths I got for Xmas a (good) number of years ago. Found it yesterday when loading books onto a new bookcase and had a good chuckle. Just found the website

Dontknowmyarsefrommyelbow · 08/10/2007 19:41

I'm crawling out from under my rock again!!
Well actually I have been riding my horse

Happy birthday TA!!

BZ - didn't think you were being one up ish (?) I actually think its fab that we are all so different and it's not a bad thing to make me think of my carbon footprint now and again - I am a discrace! I think I am an eco warrior because I chose the X5 over the Cayene - because the X5 does 10 more miles to the gallon - I am very at myself sometimes!!

Ria - whats up? Has something happened or are you having a bad day in general? What AD are you on?

milkyJammy · 08/10/2007 19:44

Can I ask where you are based DKMA?

Dontknowmyarsefrommyelbow · 08/10/2007 19:48

I live in Cheshire

TheNappyNipper · 08/10/2007 19:48

It takes all sorts milkyJ, but bleargh....

My poor DS nearly drowned at swimming this afternoon

The class is split in two and they take turns doing their bit in the big pool rather than the little pool. DH was sitting at the end with the little pool and DS and his class were at the bottom of the big pool (ie 25m away). We're not sure exactly what happened but there was an almighty commotion and when DH looked up, DS was in the water, no armbands, and sinking. He surfaced and went under a couple of times, but one of the other boys in his class had a bit of common sense and threw a woggle for DS to grab hold of till the instructor could get him out. DH siad he ran down the side of the pool and was about to jump in and get him (and he doesn't really do swimming). Apparently the instructor had told them all to sit at the edge of the pool and had turned to talk to one of the other instructors. DS said he slipped as he went to sit down and went head first into the water. DH said all the other bots were sitting, so whether DS was mucking about we don't know (they were out of DHs direct line of sight). But I think the instructor should have made sure they were all safe before he turned away.

Needless to say both DS and DH got a real fright and DS has said he doesn't want to go swimming ever again. He looked so pale and frightened when he got home

notthe3monkeys · 08/10/2007 19:48

evening all I am home now! cooked dinner... eaten it... cleaned up vom.
Thanks all for the birthday wishes!
DH bought me a £50 Ann summers voucher

I shall not mention 4x4's again, seem to be close to peoples hearts!!
JBM mine is black. I am going to look pimping, or blinging, or whatever the latest word is. I have had lots of people give me grief about it already...partly the cost ("I thought you were hard up?" comments), partly the eco-unfriendliness of it all. I am all for eco-friendly but I have also wanted to own a lovely big beast of a 4x4 for about 10 years and it won today

notthe3monkeys · 08/10/2007 19:49

awww poor DS Daisy!!

I hope he isn't frightened for long

notthe3monkeys · 08/10/2007 19:51

(Oh and fwiw its emmissions are friendlier than our old mondeo )

milkyJammy · 08/10/2007 19:51

Poor DS, poor DH, and poor you! (But mostly poor DS of course) Hope he doesn't really get put off for life (though I can understand he'll be put off for a while) - swimming is such FUN!

Dontknowmyarsefrommyelbow · 08/10/2007 19:52

Oh poor little fella daisy!!
What a fright!

TA - car sounds lovely

BadZelda · 08/10/2007 19:52

Actually it's not the mileage to gallons that annoys me about them - just that most people seem to have an unpleasant personality change when they get behind the wheel of one. That's all - just wanted to clear that up! As you were.

Sorry to hear MRR had such a fright daisy...happened to me when I was about 7 and scared the shit out of me...had to be fished out with a net. I still get the odd panic attack in water!
