hi teabag007 more like verbal diahorrea sometimes on here, but we generally have a laugh!

of course you can join us, but bear with us as we are all using silly names at the moment. I'm usually daisyandbabybootoo (or some other combination that involves the name Daisy)

Don't worry about being old....there are a few of us who are no spring chickens on this thread....I'm 38.5, fast approaching 39, with a DS 5 and babyboo, my lovely DD who is 18 weeks tomorrow (how time flies)

sorry you're having a horrible day faylisa. It is such hard work when they are poorly isn't it?

thankfully babyboo slept better last night (thanks, I think, to a dream feed at midnight) so I feel a bit more human today.

off to do some shopping....i'll catch up after tea

CunningPlanFormulator · 08/10/2007 16:05

Hi teabag!! I'm only 25, but look and feel 55, so everyone thinks I'm older than I am! Welcome!

Dp has 2 massive gouges out of his finger! He is such a knob! His friend was holding one of those hand held blenders and said "put your finger in there" and the stupid arse did, then he fainted! He could do with some stitches really, but he won't go to the dr. Oh well, it's his problem!

Happy birthday TA!! Hope you have a good one xxx

Just got a refund from yummy mummy!

I am completely sick and tired of ds's reflux. He doesn't feed properly, always off and on and crying whilst feeding and the sick is getting worse! I constantly smell of it and the piles of washing are ridiculous. Any ideas anyone?

notthe3monkeys · 08/10/2007 16:07

It was SORT OF a b'day present to myself, just a coincidence that DH's car is now on its last legs.

I just want to say sorry for being a bit self absorbed, I have been reading everyone's woes but never seem to get the time to write properly, I haven't even said a proper hello to pingu

notthe3monkeys · 08/10/2007 16:08

dunno Holly I am in the same boat. The laundry is getting beyond a joke.

CunningPlanFormulator · 08/10/2007 16:13

Daisy, I've emailed you x

TA, you are the busiest bear in the world! No-one minds if you just come on here and moan, we are all here to listen xx

Are you having a good day?

notthe3monkeys · 08/10/2007 16:18

good in that I bought a lovely car...
bad in that I am now in massive debt in order to buy said car
good in that my lil sis who is lovely called me from America to wish me happy B'day
good in that my older sis had her eggs successfully retrieved for her IVF this morning
bad that I am so tired I am worried about driving home

CunningPlanFormulator · 08/10/2007 16:20

What car did you get?

Good news about your sister. When will the IVF be happening?

notthe3monkeys · 08/10/2007 16:22

if anyone can get 'SheWhoMustNotBeNamed' address that'd be good too

notthe3monkeys · 08/10/2007 16:24

IVF is happening today! The eggs go back in on wednesday.

I got a kia sorento. If anyone ELSE goes on at me about carbon footprints and mums in 4x4's and evironmental impact I will nut them. My mondeo is probably worse in that respect. And for the record I DO offroad...usually when I do a 3 point turn and get it wrong

BadZelda · 08/10/2007 16:27

Hello all - hope you're well, have just about sorted out who's who with the names...now don't go changing again! Having a rare bit of downtime now as both the horrors little lovelies are asleep, so I know where you're coming from Faylisa and Ellsbells. Actually I can't say DD2 has been a horror at all - just DD1 feels like having 3 children at once sometimes. There was a thread on here recently about whether middle class mums should use surestart facilities recently which I read with interest...I think I would go into meltdown if I didn't use all the playgroups round here.

Daisy...started getting a blocked duct on saturday, so I switched bras from wired to feeding and it went away. Have you tried that? I also went to bravissimo on saturdxay in search of a couple of new ones, but wasn't sure about their measuring echniques and their bras were horrible. plus there's NO way I'm a 32G

BadZelda · 08/10/2007 16:31

My mum's got a prius...great for London. Must say I do hate those fat arse 4 x 4's as a cyclist but each to their own! Think if we get wheels it'll be a camper van...and then my Mum will stop nagging me about not driving.

BadZelda · 08/10/2007 16:31

Of course we've both got to pass driving tests first and get licences...watch this space!

faylisa · 08/10/2007 16:51

TA - I don't think I'd like to get on your bad side!

TheNappyNipper · 08/10/2007 17:11

LOL TA...I missed your earlier post and thought YOU were having IVF treatment. Big good luck vibes for your sister and her DH.

Happy Birthday!

Holly, thanks for the email. I've registered but can't figure out where to go for the competitions. How did you win the blueberry? What did you have to do?

DD is screaming her head off at the moment. I've tried feeding her, winding her, cuddling her, ingoring her, rocking her....nothing bloody works. Off to try teething granules and if all else fails will try calpol!

TheNappyNipper · 08/10/2007 17:19

teething granule = silence

BZ, I think it might be the bras. I have two styles and as long as I alternate a different style every day I'm ok, but if I wear the same style (freya rosalie) for more than two days running (note I said same style, not same bra in case you all think I'm a right dirty mink) I get problems.

gah, she's started again....but i thiink she may just be trying out new noises as she doesn't seem to be in nay distress. Strange child.

riabutterflew · 08/10/2007 17:32

hi again.

have just had a nap and feel worse than i did

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TA!

SuperPooFighter · 08/10/2007 17:33

Cunning, think your DP must be too embarassed to go to the docs, ouch.

Do you think the yum person is starting to worry?

riabutterflew · 08/10/2007 17:39

did you give dp any sympathy holly? 'twas a little bit silly. Men forget that being invinsible is not real don't they.

DH is cooking us a lovely tea, but he is giving the boys pizza "because that's what they said they wanted" FGS. no doubt it is because my nap was too long.

CunningPlanFormulator · 08/10/2007 17:39

Daisy, if you log on to the forum there is a heading called chit chat and under that is contests. There is a new contest starting tonight, you have to take a pic of your man doing nappy stuff and send it in. There are different catagories like "Hanging nappies on the line" or "Loading nappies into the drier". They give loads away every week. I have asked for this one in "blue on chocolate"! It's yummy!!

Dontknowmyarsefrommyelbow · 08/10/2007 17:44

Hello!

Oh dear
Day by day I feel like I am a crap person!
I don't bf, I don't use cloth nappies, and - sorry BZ but I drive BMW X5! Mind you we don't get many cyclists around these parts - if you cant drive you'd be a very lonely lady around here!!

I'll just go and hide under a rock ......

CunningPlanFormulator · 08/10/2007 17:48

I'm buying a car and taking my test soon BZ, we can be learners together! Though I don't envy you trying to learn in London! Saying that though my dp took his test in Wimbledon in tennis week. He drove about half a mile in the hour long test and passed coz he did nothing wrong as he didn't go anywhere coz of all the traffic!

faylisa · 08/10/2007 17:52

DKMA - by those criteria I too am a crap person

CunningPlanFormulator · 08/10/2007 17:55

YES! I am a good person!

Really, I'm not !

Dontknowmyarsefrommyelbow · 08/10/2007 17:58

Thats ok then - I'm in good company
Somedays I just don't feel 'earnest' enough!
Not that I am bothered enough to do anything about it tho!!

Elsbells · 08/10/2007 18:00

BZ
I only just got my license (38 week pg as well back in May) I just couldn't bear the thought of trying to get about w/2 kids on the bus or tube. Ohh, and I took the easy option; automatic car!! Think the examiner felt sorry for me as I looked ready to pop.

Dontknow - I think I am in your bad mothers club; I just stopped BF, and I use diposables for both my DC's. And I did something I thought I would never do - I drove DS to preschool today instead of walking as I just couldn't be arsed

I am going to hell aren't I????

Right better go feed the my gang.
