They wobble but they don't fall down!

leakyR · 03/10/2007 17:42

Hi everybody

Don't think I've caught up properly with thread.

CD hope dd1's eye op goes well. I'm sure it will but it is awful when they have to have medical things done to them

LOL at your out of date stuff. Helped my dad clear grans cupboards a few weeks ago ( he gets bored during the day when she's napping) we found tins of biccies with a couple missing from 2000, 2001, 2002 and 2004! Gran reckons she must have taken 2004's tin to the old people's club at the community centre

Had a lovely day today. A friend from uni who now lives in Japan came for lunch with her mom and 2 year old ds. I only see her about once a year so it was nice to catch up in person and introduce them to George. She's a Montessori teacher and her ds is amazing he can spell and count, he draws really well and says thing like "lions from Africa" whilst holding G's cuddly lion. He is also very cute

CaptainDippy · 03/10/2007 17:42

Yey weebles - my DD2 LOVES weebles!!

CaptainDippy · 03/10/2007 17:42

Hi leaky! xx

leakyR · 03/10/2007 17:44

Doh! I meant to say gran took 2003's tin for the old dears to munch on.

PillockInThePumpkin · 03/10/2007 17:45

Hello great title Ellie, I have still have some really old weebles from when I was little

Dippy is P ok? Sent your cheque last night by the way...sorry for the delay. Hope DD1's op goes ok tomorrow, will be thinking of you. I know how stressed I was when J had his ear op last October.

Hope your internet connection is fixed Bramshott.

Feeling a bit better here now. Parents were good too...didn't get on my nerves and did quite a bit to help. Mum had loads of wool stuff she's knit for me YAY! I went shopping with them this afternoon but did feel a bit sickly wandering round - was glad to get home! Dad drove into Leeds to go to the market for some meat...but got lost despite having been there many times before and being given directions by dh & me before he set off . Eventually got there, then got lost again on the way back

nappynuttynormabutty · 03/10/2007 17:53

Meant dad drove into Leeds in the morning (i.e. without me!)

PillockInThePumpkin · 03/10/2007 17:55

more classic quotes from the mouth of Matthew -

"mummy, what school will I be going to?"
"I don't know sweetheart we haven't decided yet"
"well I would like one with a sandpit please"

after a conversation about how Joe would not get to Matthew's 'big' nursery until Matthew is at school -
"mummy I am not going to eat dinners anymore"
"why's that?"
"because then I won't get to be 5"

after he said the word Vigour randomly -
"is that a bad word mummy?"
"no"
"what is it?"
"it's a bit like excited" (I know, but how on earth would you explain it?!)
"and it's what you put on your chips too mummy"

Hi again - DH home at last (sigh...) P in bed and he's going to get the other two ready and put them to bed. Then we're having a slob ...... .....

P is just being weird. Sigh. She's gone from sleeping well during the day to "napping", especially for her morning sleep and it is driving me NUTS - means I am more exhausted than usual and have time to do anything.

sleepbabysleep · 03/10/2007 18:54

hello.. another work day down.. feel like I have so much to remember though. Got almost to the motorway on the way home (HAVE to get home on time because I literally get in the door and dh kisses me as he goes out to night class. If I´m late, he´s late and it´s a whole situation involving lateness and probable male moodiness) and realised I´d forgotten the milk I´d expressed in the fridge at work. Back to work, run up, open locks, run to fridge, get milk, lock door, into car back to motorway - LEFT MY BLOODY BREASTPUMP. GAAAAAH! Didn´t get to go back and dh had just fed N when I got in so I am fully working the Pamela Anderson look . Made sure N got a top up before he went down, for his own good of course

Dippy will think of you tomorrow, we had a horrible time getting Ns tongue tie snipped and that was nothing! Makes you feel like a right meany taking them in, doesn´t it?!

Glad you´re on the mend nutty, hope you´re back to 100% soon.

IDOC - aaargh weevils! I found some in flour once, ewww yuck gag RETCH RETCH. ACK. Pah.

Overdramatic? Me?

PillockInThePumpkin · 03/10/2007 18:56

lol!
I found a pressie I got for you yonks ago Maveta, can you email me your address so I can send it on

sympathies CD - tiredness is absolutely definitely my number 1 hardest thing about being a parent. Or have I forgotten something worse??

Pillock - so cute!!

btw boss still hasn´t had her twins, she´s now 33 weeks so just one more week and they´ll be ok to come out (and more importantly she gets to go to her swish posh private hospital..) but I think they´re keeping her in just in case. Poor thing has had THE most awful pregnancy with about every ailment you can get befalling her.

CaptainDippy · 03/10/2007 18:59

Wait til you have a toddler SBS, just you wait .......

Your poor Boss - I'll bet she'll been sooooo happy to have them out!! Not just yet though - stay in beanies, stay in ....

oooggs · 03/10/2007 19:02

hi all - all ok here but dh needs pc for college work so I am banned - maybe catch you later or tomorrow - sleep well xx

CaptainDippy · 03/10/2007 19:07

See you later oooggs!

Hi all.

Bramshott, good to see you are back in the 21st century !

Leaky, wow, your friends ds sounds v advanced!

SPB, pmsl at your cupboard clearing and strange discoveries!

Hope everyone else is ok that I hve failed to mention.

Pants here. B has a runny bum again, so don't think she will be going to school tomorrow, and K has a temperature again. Joy. Dh is off tomorrow at the crack of dawn and not back until 10.00 p.m. so 2 slightly under the weather kids to deal with all day. I have said it before and I'll say it again.. I do not know how people cope on their own all the time!!!

CaptainDippy · 03/10/2007 19:39

{{{{{{SOL}}}}}} I don't know how you cope having a DH who often works such horrid hrs.

Or chinese!!!!!?

tcmummy · 03/10/2007 19:44

Nutty - glad you're a bit better x

mmk · 03/10/2007 19:46

CD go for KFC, and those fab honey coated things.

Evening all, totties are fast asleep in bed, and here we are.

Had nothing handy for dinner, so cooked salmon in home made breadcrumbs, with some lime juice and butter, oh boy it was good.

erm can someone tell me what to 'bump' someone means?

Also, do I need to get a new name?

Re spice racks, my stepmother bougth one when we lived in Gretton(Iwas 15) she took it with them when they moved to Wellinboro, then Northampton (where they lived for 15 years. To my horror, when I visited them in France, (where they have now lived for 4 years) she still has the bloody thing! All the labels have gone brown, so have the herbs! Ah well, she was a war baby...
