mmk · 03/10/2007 19:50

arr yes, how do I know it's nearly 8pm?? babies are asleep and YET again I'm trying to type with the cat's butt in my face as usual. He thinks it's his special time, and just keeps wandering in front of my face as I try to type. He is old too, so he slobbers all over my keyboard..

PillockInThePumpkin · 03/10/2007 19:51

bump in what context?

in a thread it just means that they were 'bumping' the thread up the list of avtive convos

Go for Indian Dippy.

I've just had toast and marmite, but I did have home made lasagne and lemon drizzle cake at lunchtime

Dh is out playing footy and may not be pleased that I've not made dinner for him. I'll offer him some toast I can imagine the reception that will get!

tcmummy · 03/10/2007 19:58

SOL - nightmare. Sounds like you are going to need A LOT of chocolate tomorrow...

CHINESE!! YUM!

mmk · 03/10/2007 20:04

thank you POC.

Has anyone tried Mothercare's smart nappy, if so, what did you think?

AuntieMeemz · 03/10/2007 20:12

mmk that is me, is now AuntieMeemz (nick name from when I was living in Coventry, and was agony aunt to everyone).

Sexonlegs · 03/10/2007 20:27

Auntie, pmsl at your cat. I have exactly the same problem. The dd's are in bed, so Tippy thinks, right, my time, and as soon as I park my tired arse somewhere, he is on me. He isn't v old, only 8, but had dodgy teeth and dribbles like mad and has stinky breath! I do love him tho!!!

geordiemacminx · 03/10/2007 20:31

Hey ladies.

Parents gone home so normal service has resumed here.

Dp watching footie.

C did his first proper swim unsupported underwater today and waterbabies - it was amazing!!

Had a proper chuckle at the thread title... I remember a work xmas party a few years back, bit tipsy, swaying around a little, one of the blokes I worked with came up to me and said " your just like one of the those webble wobble things remember "weebles wobble but they dont fall down... oh thats right you DO go down.... " I was very but I have to admit it was quite funny... and true

tcmummy · 03/10/2007 20:31

who's aunty meemz????

AuntieMeemz · 03/10/2007 20:32

Sol, is Tippy from Dagenham? if so, he must be Muffin's brother or cousin.

Idreamofchocolate · 03/10/2007 20:32

Arghh weevils!! Have now emptied entire contents of cupboard into bin, and napalmed the cupboard, so weevils are either in bin or (hopefully) dead. Yuk yuk yuk...(also drame queen like you Maveta). Also have a plague of huge spiders again today. Have put one outside, seen one in lounge, and one has just legged it behind the fridge. What is it with my house and insects. No, don't answer that.

Dippy - good luck for DD1's op tomorrow, will be thinking of you. And lucky you having takeaway, yummy.

In fact lucky you having dh actually present in the same house for any length of time. I'm another one suffering from continual lack of dh due to farking work commitments. Is driving me to a seething mass of resentment.

Ellie - PMSL at Matthew's vigour comment. That's the best one yet .

Oh and Dippy - Chinese every time!

tcmummy · 03/10/2007 20:33

and at 1st underwater swim GMM! Fantastic! Can't wait for T's. We missed the session where they were going to do it because we were on hol.

AuntieMeemz · 03/10/2007 20:35

tcm Auntie Meemz is me, mmk. Decided to get clever and get a better name.

I'm perusing re-usable nappies, and think I want the all in one type. DH, clever old fart, looked at mumsnet reviews and interpreted them for me.

leakyR · 03/10/2007 20:38

Auntiedon't get them started on nappy chat, there'll be 800 posts on her before you know it

leakyR · 03/10/2007 20:44

here not her.

Bugger! G awake!

PillockInThePumpkin · 03/10/2007 20:48

right
am gonna add the pics to my profile but only visible to mumsnet mates. you were all in my mates list but as you've changed names it might not show them to you, if you can't see them let me know and i'll add your new names to the list

Oh yeah, auntie, no no no!

Tippy is not from Dagenham. He is a Glaswegian rescue cat! Muffin was the name of my first ever cat as a child. He was a special boy. He used to lick my tears away when I cried. He hated everyone else!!

IDOC, ikwym about feeling resentful. I had a rant tonight when dh got in, and he just doesn't get it. Thing is, he only gets glimpses of what it is really like. He spends the day using his head, having a wee when he wants, not having to fetch and carry for 2 dc's. I effectively feel like a SAHM at the mo, and no dis-respect to those who are, but I effing well hate it. Dh says, do you not feel proud blah blah, and atm all I can think about is is when is it bed time??
Dreadful I know.

PillockInThePumpkin · 03/10/2007 20:52

i thought you were talking in code about another drugs deal, only just worked out you were talking about cats !

OP posts:
tcmummy · 03/10/2007 20:55

ohhhhh MMK= auntiemeemz >

You could always start a thread about nappies, and then you'd have the whole of mn falling over themselves to help

PillockInThePumpkin · 03/10/2007 20:59

so, can you see the photo?

is quite small so will email it too

OP posts:
AuntieMeemz · 03/10/2007 21:00

leaky r, PML about nappy chat. Yes, I remember once, asking about them, and the whole place came alive!

AuntieMeemz · 03/10/2007 21:01

tc mummy, I'll do that. I just can't work out what to do, so advice would be good.

geordiemacminx · 03/10/2007 21:02

I can see it - its lovely!!

Idreamofchocolate · 03/10/2007 21:08

I can see it too. Very cute!

SOL - totally know where you're coming from. We need to get together and have a damn good rant.

DH actually asked me last night (when he finally got in) why his pic wasn't on my profile. So there's a pic of him on there now in case you wish to gaze upon his face . You don't have to!

PillockInThePumpkin · 03/10/2007 21:12

bless him! tell him he's looking rather short in that photo

have emailed some pics to you, but to a list of those currently posting, so if i've missed you let me know

in the one of the 3 babies, Pesha took several, but this was the only one where Joe was not attempting to eat Ernie
