Hi Nutty! I´m sure a Mocha would do the trick SOL. I can´t be bothered doing anything today...

AAAAAARGH The Most Embarrassing thing just happened to me... I forwarded an email to my boss and was really sarcastic about the work the person was asking me to do.

Yes, you guessed it.. I sent it back to the person who originally wrote to me. I am normally so careful about writing sarky, rude whatever comments in emails for exactly that reason and then I go and do it when my work head isn´t quite screwed on yet! Oh faaaaaaaaaaark. She wrote back to me kind of snotty (well who can blame her) saying don´t bother then. Oh God my stomach just fell out of my arse. I nearly vomited

Oh well, there´s a lesson learnt from everything, right?!

Sexonlegs · 04/10/2007 11:39

Oh Maveta, I have done something similar in the past! It is awful isn't it!! I am sure it will be forgotten about soon enough!

NorthernLurker · 04/10/2007 11:49

'Pumpersaurus' - ROFL!

Could have been worse I suppose......

mammyjo · 04/10/2007 12:16

Morning all. Up to F 3 times last night for feeding. Am now toying with the idea of weaning her off me and onto formula. Dont really know what to do for the best. Have done 6 months of bf which I am really proud of myself for. Am thinking about formula, as recently after taking formula for my mum or dad, she has been much more settled. Dont know whether it is anything to do with that or just pure coincidence

Maveta, really pleased to hear your dad is home now. You made me laugh with the email thing, like talking about someone and realising they are behind you! Have done that before

Sexonlegs · 04/10/2007 12:26

Mammyjo, you poor thing. I think anyone who bf's for any amount of time is a star.

I know they do say that formula is more filling and you can see how much they are getting. But at the end of the day, you have to do what is best for you.

Can you trial it and see?

busywithIzzy · 04/10/2007 12:38

Hello all,

Maveta PMSL at the email...I have also done similar, I answered the phone to someone at work who was very rude, I put them on hold and told DH she was a stroppy cow!, yes you've guessed it phone wasn't on hold needless to say we didn't get her business!!

Great news that your dad is home Maveta.

Mammyjo sorry you had another bad night, you need to do what is best for you. We had a terrible night Izzy didn't settle til midnightn (she's normally asleep by 8.30pm) then she woke at 2am, 5am and finally at 7am, it's a real shock for me, I hope this isn't the sign of things to come.

Dippy - hope dd1's op went ok today and that you are ok. PMSL at pumpersaurus!!

SOL hope B and K are ok.

Sexonlegs · 04/10/2007 12:50

Hi BWI, God what a night you had. Hope things are better tonight.

Both B and K seem ok atm thanks. Hope it stays like that too!

Just wish I could get rid of this headache.

zazas · 04/10/2007 13:10

Afternoon!
CD I hope all went well today - I was thinking of you and DD!.
Maveta - that made me smile - at your expense sorry! Glad to hear your Dad is back at home.
sol hope you are feeling better and that you got your mocha - I always have a need for my one coffee in am otherwise I feel crap - my addiction!
mammyjo sounds like most nights here for me, I think I am just used to it now and don't seem to notice anymore if I feel tired or not I am still exclusively bf and just feel that my baby needs frequent feeds but will change as she grows and starts eating. My other 2 dcs were the same and eventually stopped night feeds by 8 months as they matured and now i don't even remember being tired with them

So I went to a baby rhythm class yesterday with a friend and we are both still reeling with the shock of it all! It was so manic and I have never had 30 minutes of such fast paced action! Poor babies as soon as they had figured out that they could play with one instrument, it was whisked away and replaced with another. Couldn't really see the point of banging a few drums and singing a few rhymes and paying £4 for it! Think we will enjoy our peace and quiet at home for the time being!

mammyjo · 04/10/2007 13:12

BWI, what a nightmare night you had. Its awful isnt it, especially when you are used to her sleeping all night. I just hate the fact that I am so tired all the time. Makes coping with everyday stuff much harder!

Afternoon SOL Really dont know which way to go with the feeding. I am so proud that I have bf F for 6 months and should just really think of that. Instead though, I feel guilty for thinking about giving up. Never thought I would be in this situation, since bf with ds just didnt work out from early on.

mammyjo · 04/10/2007 13:14

Hi zazas, x posted with you. Dd is having food now too, and I thought the extra calories might help, but just now it isnt. Dont really know what to do for the best!

zazas · 04/10/2007 13:27

mammyjo - they wake for other reasons than food I find but once awake never say no to a quick feed Once i have felt confident they really didn't need the extra feed when they woke (around 8 months) , I did a version of controlled crying and they started to sleep through. Then I continued feeding until they self weaned at around 12 months (by then it was really only morning and night). That probably doesn't help much but I wanted you to know others were up feeding like you and that eventually it passes!

mammyjo · 04/10/2007 13:55

Thankyou for that! Does help to think its not only me! Dd has just done a weird thing though. She was shouting to be fed so I offered her the boob (as normal) and she fussed and yelled and wouldnt take it. She was getting fractious so I offered her a bottle instead and she has just drunk 3oz No idea what is going on.

eLviRaMistressOfDarkness · 04/10/2007 14:46

Guess who? Thought I'd join in with the namechange madness.

Got to run, going into work to talk to MY OWN HUSBAND about when I'm going back! Ridiculous but apparently it has to be done.

Sexonlegs · 04/10/2007 15:32

Oooh, not sure, is it Ange?

busywithIzzy · 04/10/2007 15:40

It's not me!!

Zazas??

mammyjo · 04/10/2007 15:40

I wondered if it was leaky because of the capital L and R?

eLviRaMistressOfDarkness · 04/10/2007 15:41

Look at the out of place capital letters.

eLviRaMistressOfDarkness · 04/10/2007 15:41

X post You guessed right!

eLviRaMistressOfDarkness · 04/10/2007 15:44

My only resemblence to the real Elvira is the cleavage. I'm a short blonde geordie in RL

busywithIzzy · 04/10/2007 15:45

GMM??

busywithIzzy · 04/10/2007 15:46

Sorry x posts as well, great name!

eLviRaMistressOfDarkness · 04/10/2007 15:51

Must must must get off my arse and go into the office. G is snoozing and I think it's bloody ridiculous going to talk to my own dh about when I'm coming back. Serves me right for marrying my HR manager.

geordiemacminx · 04/10/2007 15:54

Its not me... I am a short bruntette geordie.... Its leaky!!!!!

mammyjo · 04/10/2007 16:09

F fell off the sofa this afternoon
I feel so awful about it. I had changed her nappy and gone off into the kitchen to wash my hands and put the nappy in the bin. Next thing I heard a thud and a WAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. I ran in and she was on her tummy on the lounge floor. She must have done some kind of back flip thing to get into the position she was in. Thankfully she is fine, just got a shock, as did her mummy
