Geog, is littlegeog OK? And I hope your DS1 is OK - is that Alex, of the Christmas post on Mumsnet fame?
It's a good job Littlegeog told you not to put eye drops in his ears, because I'm sure that would have been the first thing you would have tried.
I also would have thought the ability to read would be a pre-requisite to be a postie.
I'm thinking of ordering some anvils or something to give our lazy little postie a bit of a work-out.

geogteach · 25/11/2007 17:29

Maisie they are both fine, geog just has some bug that is going round and Alex just has hundreds of hosp appointments because he is deaf. Thanks for asking!

maisiemog · 25/11/2007 22:32

Oh that's good to hear Geog.
I look forward to Alex's next post.
I'm now seriously wondering where Cazzy has gone????
I put piccies of Alfie on my profile incidentally.

biglips · 28/11/2007 09:27

Just wanted to say Good morning everyone

get well soon Geog

maisie - ermm...the piccys!!!!

OP posts:
maisiemog · 28/11/2007 11:27

EH??
Did you see them?
I made that top, it's tooo big.

maisiemog · 28/11/2007 11:31

Oo er! I can't see them!
I have uploaded piccies, and I can see them in 'my mumsnet' but I can't see them when I click on my name on this thread?
What's that about?
Can anyone else see them?

maisiemog · 30/11/2007 21:00

Hi all, anyone there???
I just want someone to tell me if they can see my piccies???
OK I'm off to consult 'help'.

biglips · 01/12/2007 10:08

yes maisie - i can see one on the main page with Alfie wearing a blue coat and green pants

cazzybabs · 01/12/2007 10:21

OHH I am still here - slightly larger, tirder etc etc! God it was windy last night and now...may go into town this morning! Although think I could do with going back to bed!

maisiemog · 02/12/2007 18:08

Hi Cazzy. I was wondering what happened to you.
Yes go to bed! Get some rest!

maisiemog · 04/12/2007 23:30

Poor old Alfie has got a massive shiner. He was running up the hall, tripped over the rug and went flying into the side of the bed. He has a cut bit and big egg/bruise thing.
I'm sure people think I've been throwing him down the stairs.

maisiemog · 06/12/2007 22:12

Cazzy, where's that baby??!! Did you say you knew if it was a boy or a girl? I can't remember. I remember you threatening it if it weren't a boy, because it was making you tired.
Alfie is getting better now. It's quite scary how fast they mend those little ones isn't it??
He has been doing really well on the dry night thing, just having one pee before bed or getting up for one during the night and then dry nappy next day, this is the most consistend he has been, it was a bit 'one step forward and another one back' before. Mind you, let's see if it lasts.
I'm just sitting doing Christmas shopping on Ebay, seeing how little I can spend.
Can't afford much this year, so hoping to win a new Liberty cashmere wrap for my Mum for about 50p. [finger crossed icon]

cazzybabs · 06/12/2007 22:16

Oh no poor Alfie - is he OK?

BTW I am still here (but expecting to be late as I was 11 days late with both the girls - don't know colour yet!). AStill have high BP and so my homebirth is looking very unlikey - bloody typcial as I have hired a really expenise birhting pool!

I have just spent loads in IKEA - how can things that are so cheap add up to be hundreds - sigh oh well! At least I have started my Xmas shopping - Grace is getting a very epensive dolly and dd1 is getting a desk and a chair (and some new furnnitre for her room!) and the baby is getting bugger all! Still have the other 21 people (my extended family) who are around at Xmas to buy for!

cazzybabs · 06/12/2007 22:17

Oh and there is no way Grace is dry at night yet!

Where is biglips, Kath and Geog?

maisiemog · 07/12/2007 00:23

Oh well, look on the bright side - the girls can have a lovely swim in your birthing pool!
I vote you forget about buying presents, put your feet up and try to get as much rest as possible, so that you can stay at home. I hope your bp comes down enough to use that pool.
That baby is scared to come out in case it isn't a boy - it doesn't know what it is, but it's sitting there thinking - 'I hope Mummy's not cross at me - I'm not going out there'.

You sound as if you are doing some serious nesting there Cazzy.
Is the dolly baby Annabel: the one with the strange turning head thing. I keep singing that song 'She knows her Mummy now', and waiting for the dolly head to go all the way round. Aaaaaaaaaaaargh!!!
The weirdest baby is the Baby Born doll, which has a motorbike and a car - just like a real baby??
Alfie knows Baby Born, he obviously watches too much CITV - he was freaking out in Boots on Tuesday because there was a Baby Born in a little girl's pram. He kept telling me 'Look Mummy, Baby Born dolly!'
Maybe he wants one?
I am buying Alfie the cheapest Chad Valley toy ever it won't make it to Boxing day.
Hoping to find him some Richard Scarry books as well.
Oo! People have been asking me what Alfie wants (he has no idea what is going on) so I have to make wild stabs in the dark. I told my mum to buy him Magic Sand - has anyone got that?? Is it any good?
He loves sand, especially wet sand, but worried about it ending up in my shoes and coat pockets.

cazzybabs · 07/12/2007 17:49

no it is "proper" dolly - it does not wee, poo or make any kind of noise what so ever!

What about some lego/stickle bricks?

(ahhh - came upstairs to get some peace and both girls have followed me here..wish they would play in their own bedroom - my patience is wearing thin!)

geogteach · 07/12/2007 17:55

we are still here. Geog is dry at night (not that i've really got anything to boast about because his older brother and sister aren't, how does that work?) Geog has today announced he wants a yellow taxi for christmas, what he is actually getting is a light from ikea for his room as he insists on reading in bed like his brother and sister.

cazzybabs · 07/12/2007 18:05

YEH - I was wondering where you had all got to ! IKEA light sounds great.

I do wish Grace was dry at night - it is a right pain trying to fit nappies on her!

We are off out tonight and so MIL is babysitting.

maisiemog · 07/12/2007 21:21

Going for a curry Cazzy??
What kind of dolly doesn't do wees? That's ridiculous. Don't you want a nice soggy sofa and wet bits all over the carpet?

cazzybabs · 08/12/2007 13:34

I don't need a doll for that - remember I will soon have a new born and I have 2 cats...

jbadgirl · 09/12/2007 12:23

Hi all, glad your all doing ok.

Today is international child bereavement day and I will be lighting our candle for Toby at 7.00pm tonight. The time is set so people all over the world can light a candle to remember all the children all over the world. I have a special candle with a picture of me dh and Toby on which y friend had made for us. We agreed that we would light it on all anniversaries and birthdays etc.
It would be great if you could all join me at 7 in lighting a candle for any of you that have lost a child or just for us and Toby x

All is going ok at the moment, still seeing councillor whio is fantastic and a good friend. He has got to know me so well now and has started seeing dh which will help him a great deal too.
Work is going well and all go for xmas.
I know that we will find it very hard this year and im glad we have family and friends around us at this hard time.

cazzybabs · 09/12/2007 17:23

I shall light a candle for Toby!

maisiemog · 09/12/2007 21:00

Sorry I'm a bit late Jbad! I have just lit a candle and I am thinking of you and your DH.
It will be a tough Christmas for you, I'm glad you have your loved ones around you to help you through it. Try to remember what a happy little thing Toby was and smile for him.
I'm glad to hear you have such a good counsellor, that must be a great help for you both.
Are you doing Christmassy things at the nursery yet? When do you break up for Christmas?

KathH · 09/12/2007 21:54

jbadgirl - another latecomer here but will light a candle for Toby. Have been thinking of you a lot lately - have lost your email address as we've changed broadband provider. Glad to hear you have a good councillor. If you need to chat my email address is now [email protected] - much love to you & dh, wish there was something I could do to make especially this Christmas a little less hard for you both. Kath xxxx

maisiemog · 13/12/2007 21:28

Hi all, how are the tots?
We have had a very trying day, no make that week. Alfie has been ignoring me a lot more than usual. It's as if he has gone deaf, and he is hyper. So he doesn't listen, but does run round in a circle, shrieking.
Mummy's patience is wearing very thin.
He opened the kitchen cupboard three times and tipped porridge oats on the floor, where they were all coming from, I don't know. So then I tried to get him to help me clean, but he just made a bigger mess and tried to eat the oats in the dustpan. He laughs like a drain, even when I am getting quite fed-up.
Can somebody tell me, is this normal? He is usually a lot more responsive than this, not as hyper. He did have a cold and has been rubbing his ears a lot, so perhaps that's why he is so 'buzzy'?
Sorry, I'm just getting a bit paranoid. I might phone up tomorrow for a doctor's appointment to see if his ears look OK.
Another thing is, you know those developmental thingies, where they say the child should be able to draw a circle? Well, do they mean a lovely symmetrical, round circle, or an asymmetric kind of lumpy circle?
I have been getting Alfie to help me make Christmas cards, and he has been drawing big, lumpy circle things (buses) and putting little, wonky circles underneath (wheels). Do you think this counts as a circle?
I'm just off to check Cazzy's baby thread, just in case.....
