he does eat a good breakfast, but not until after 9am, fig porridge at the moment, and he just has a drink of water with it. I drop him off and nursery do breakfast for him, then they give him fruit as a snack at 10.30ish

Hmm. Might have to get the childminder to do breakfast then, if I really need to cut out the 9.30 feed.

26 October should be interesting - I need to leave for work at 11.30am, and back at 10.30pm. I fear DH could be picking a very hungry child up from the childminder at 6.00!! But I guess it could be the push she needs to just DRINK THE BLOODY FORMULA! 27 Oct I am working 8.30 - 8.30 but I'll have to take her as that's just too long (and it's a Saturday anyway) . . .

hopefully it'll all go smoothly, I am very lucky to work part-time and fit it around feeding joe

I work from home most of the time so it's fine really. I keep reminding myself that this is such a short time in the great scheme of things, and by the new year hopefully (and a bit sadly) I won't be feeding her any more.

I have just discovered a glass with it's own sub-species lurking on a windowsill

I am therefore logging off and may not be back for sometime, but when I return I will have the Ernie/Dylan/Joe photos

SMB - what is the most out of date item you can find in your cupboards?

Hiya
Thanks for the tip and link Zaza and CD - i'll definitely try those
Bramshott\Ellie - you both set my mind @ rest, i'm starting work and S hates the bottle and doesn't think much of formula either (however she doesn't mind it from her doidy cup) I had visions of her screaming from hunger when i call to check on her from work
SOL - lol r: K licking the spoon like a cat sounds exactly like S especially with pureed fruit.
MJ - glad last night was better.

well i did find something (gone now) that was best before june 2004 - we only moved in in August 2003!
think last time i had a sort out i threw out herbs that were best before 1997!
(not sure how the 2004 one slipped through the net )

Ah yes, but dried herbs last forever! I think I've still got some that were given to us as part of a spice rack thing when we were married.

In 1995.

Well they smell OK.

Have just picked up a bag of flour in my cupboard and there were loads of teeny-tiny little bug things lurking in the pile of flour that had collected under the bag. blergh. All gone in bin now, will bleach cupboard later once dds are in bed. I hate the thought of bugs living anywhere in my house.

Evening all, totties are fast asleep in bed, and here we are.

Had nothing handy for dinner, so cooked salmon in home made breadcrumbs, with some lime juice and butter, oh boy it was good.

erm can someone tell me what to 'bump' someone means?

Also, do I need to get a new name?

Re spice racks, my stepmother bougth one when we lived in Gretton(Iwas 15) she took it with them when they moved to Wellinboro, then Northampton (where they lived for 15 years. To my horror, when I visited them in France, (where they have now lived for 4 years) she still has the bloody thing! All the labels have gone brown, so have the herbs! Ah well, she was a war baby...

bump in what context?

in a thread it just means that they were 'bumping' the thread up the list of avtive convos
