How are you all today?
morning all, from Tequila woman. I went out with the girlies last night, had Mexican and two Magueritas, oh what bliss!

Disappointed to discover on my return that DH had fallen asleep after doing dishes, and hadn't got round to doing the ironing!I'm much too soft on him.

Luckily for me, with hangover head, the wombat didn't wake for her feed until 6.45, instead of 6am.

Little wombat doesn't have any teef yet, is she the only one?

off to post on today's sentimentals thread now..

SMB, Rachel has the dribbling, red face and misery face, but nothing at all to show for it!

SMB, tmi but B had a bit of a dicky tummy before she went to bed and K had a temperature. They both seem fine now, although K seems v v tired. Thanks for asking.

Hello everyone. Not really caught up - too much work has have taken on and too many kids it seems but I hope you are all doing OK?
Hello YvieE - your baby is so cute! I used one of those brushes that was like a little finger glove with little spikes on it for my other 2 (does that make sense??!) - it meant that the baby couldn't throw their head around and get the tooth brush jammed into their mouth - which mine did
Hope your move goes ok sharpemolarbear Our house is on the market - desperate to move - we are busting at all seams!
S is doing OK - had another day at the hospital last week with another suspected UTI as she had a fever etc but the tests weren't 100% conclusive. Bit of a nightmare really. However have gone down the homeopathy / alternative remedies and she is doing fine. Have to admit I am now rather nervous if she looks even slightly ill, convince myself she was feverish the other day until I realised it was just the blanket she was sleeping on had given her face a red rash
No teeth here and still exclusively bf - not even thought about solids yet....think I am too much of a lazy Mother. I like the lack of mess to be honest! She shows no real interest and seems to be growing fine.....have to face it though I know
Off with a friend to some sort of baby music class...have avoided most of this so far but she has convinced me to give it a go...I hope it is not loud drum banging - ouch, I have not had enough sleep to deal with that!

Morning all!

Hi Zazas! Sorry that S has been ill etc, glad the alternative stuff seems to be working for her atm. I was going to mention those baby toothbrush, finger glove jobbies as well! They are fab, I'll try and get some info I can post up from Google in a mo ......

Good to "see" you Yvie!

No teeth here; but not a big surprise as my children don't do teeth - DD1 was 2 yrs when her 1st one finally emerged , DD2 was 16 months - so not expecting any gum action just yet for little P.

Morning all! Slightly better night here. Dont know whether the calpol night helped or whether she is just a bit better in herself. She actually slept from 12 til 4.30am without stirring so I managed a few hours of unbroken sleep. Do feel a bit better this morning, but full of vile cold. Hoping a bit more sleep will send it on its way! She still has a tickly cough, may try and get out to get some of the tixylix later. Has to be worth a try! Thanks for the recommendation SOL
Maveta, thanks for the link to the bibs. Have just ordered 4 of the bandana ones to try. Constantly changing soggy bibs here!

Glad all's a bit better in your household, MJ & that you managed to get a bit of sleep.

P's been being a pickle about her morning nap over the past couple of days, which is frustrating - especially as I am going to have to leave her and DD2 with MIL while DH and I take DD! into hospital for her eye op tomorrow - hope it all goes smoothly - hoping to get the younger 2 down for naps, then buzz to hospital in time for op - v.nervous, especially about my darling girl having to have needles / operation etc

Oh so do you just have to wait until she's seen?
Hope it's fairly early on
I'm thinking that about T's general grouchiness - are you still going to BLW?

Report
Sexonlegs · 03/10/2007 11:50

Yvie and Zaza's lovely to see you both.

Zaza's, I am giving K a little taste of things but she isn't really interested yet. She licks at the spoon like a cat!

SPB, I would love to tell work to pee off, but I agreed that I would help when needed. It has all got a bit out of hand tho since September and I am doing lots to the detriment of everything else.

Eddas, B did one of those videos. Is it Magic moments? We bought a couple but thy are so expensive as you say.

Hi CD, MJ etc. Need to go and sort lunch and run to school. Supposed to be going to a session at the school about how the children will be learning to read etc. as well.

Report
CaptainDippy · 03/10/2007 11:57

Yes, they have a list and you just wait til you are at the top - young children are ususally fairly high up though, so should be fine!

Hi SOL!

Yes, going to do mainly BLW, with a bit of puree chuck in on the side (i.e. when she is not looking!)

P screaming AGAIN!

I am about to head back to the school after only dropping B off at 12.50, for this presentation! Eating B's choccie buttons! Gave K a lick of one too [naughty mummy]!!

Back later.

Hello again. Could it possibly be (whispers) that my internet is fixed?!? It's been up almost all day yesterday, and so far today!!!!! On the downside, this means I will waste more of my work time on here or on facebook.

Sending sleep vibes to those who need them and get well soon vibes to all those with the dreaded lurgs!

Oh, and obviously "get a grip woman" vibes to a certain person who was on the televison last night!! Must admit I am hooked though, in a strange voyeuristic way!

Bramshott, wanted to reassure you on the no milk all day (i think it was you?). Joe has started to do the same, he has a feed about 7.30, then just water at nursery, 2 days a week I collect him at 3.30 and when we get home he has a feed, the other days I collect at 1 and he has a very short feed.

He used to take formula while at nursery but is refusing it now, so i guess he just doesn't need milk as well as food.

Report
Bramshott · 03/10/2007 14:05

Thanks Ellie, that is useful to know. They have to be adaptable when we're not with them all the time, don't they.

Will he eat a good breakfast after his 7.30 feed? I'm struggling a bit with Orla and breakfast atm as she has a feed at 7.30, then I offer breakfast at 8.00 but she's not very interested, then I feed her when I drop her at the childminders at 9.30 which is okay for now, but I'd like to cut out within the next month as it slows me down getting on with work.
