oooh at P smelling worse than normal
What's wrong with her? Hopefully not sick and poo as well
Can you get your shower fixed?

CaptainDippy · 02/10/2007 10:58

She is such a smelly baby!! Honestly she is!! She's very cute to look at and all; but she smells all the time! She smells sort of cheesey and she gets yukky build up behind her ears and she absolutely honks to high heaven in the mornings - I am having to change and wash her bedding at least three times a week!!!!! Her bum ALWAYS smells as well -even a few minutes after giving her a bath .....

She's very cute though!

CaptainDippy · 02/10/2007 10:58

CaptainDippy · 02/10/2007 11:07

I feel so out of touch, I haven't been on here for so long, and everyone has changed their names! Hope all is good. All fine here although still battling on the bottle front!

At the moment I feed Orla at 7.30, 9.30, then she goes off to the childminders with her solids for lunch. Then I collect her and feed her about 4.00, then 7.15, then wake and feed at 10.30. I would so like her to take those 9.30 and 4.00 feeds from a bottle or cup, but we're still having no luck - she doesn't seem to like the taste of formula, but won't take expresssed milk from a bottle either. Half of me now thinks she never will, and that I'll just try to up her solids with cheese, yoghurts etc, and move to not feeding her in the daytime that way over the next few months. I'm sure by about 8 months, N was only feeding morning and eve, but I can't remember when she started doing that. How much are your babies still feeding in the daytime? I am desperate to stop breastfeeding altogether by Christmas so I can have a proper drink....!!!

nappynuttynormabutty · 02/10/2007 11:26

Just a quick note again, sorry haven't caught up.

Erin ok, she took her milk this am so seems to be over the worst of it. Dh a bit better too (taking anti-sickness tablets). I'm ill tho now hence the quick note. Also parents coming later today so won't be on again until maybe Thurs.

SharpMolarBear · 02/10/2007 11:31

oh no nutty Hope you get better quickly

runnyhabbit · 02/10/2007 11:52

morning all

nutty - Sorry to hear you're feeling ill. Look after yourself

lol at runny by name, runny by nature.... feel much better today, thank you.

Boss has finally emailed back. He's said that things have not been so good for the past month, and has read my letter and will reply in more detail when he has the time. Little worried that things being not so good means no work coming in. We shall see.

We really need to get W in his own room. He's realised that if he wakes up and moans for a bit, I will bring him into our bed. And I swear he helps himself in the night, just because he knows my boob is there little rascal.

love to you all

xx

Eddas · 02/10/2007 12:39

oh nutty sorry you've caught it. So much harder being ill with lo(s) about.

Not caught up yet, have to be quick, lots to do but thought i'd post quickly!

I feel much brighter today, had a much better sleep, thank goodness

Diet is still on track(although had crisps yesterday)

My friend is booking us tickets to go and see father christmas today Getting v excited about it all this year as dd is now at the age where she'll get properly excited too and will get into things more. Might even do panto with her this year! and i think we've decided to stay here this year on our own, last year was such a dash about we didn't have time to relax and enjoy it all. Will definately be relaxing and eating loads and drinking too. I don't normally have any drink at christmas due to driving(dh strangely never volunteers)

Right sorry, waffle waffle

Idreamofchocolate · 02/10/2007 12:53

Eddas, very very of you planning to have Christmas at home on your own. We would love to be able to do that. I dream about being able to slob around in my jimjams all day, watching TV, eating chocolate, playing with E & S's presents, lighting the fire etc etc. Particularly as DH will be working right through until Christmas Eve, and will be mega-stressed out in the whole run-up as this is his busiest time of the year at work. Sadly this will not happen as the PILs will not allow it.

Don't ask.

Idreamofchocolate · 02/10/2007 13:04

Oh bugger, I've just found someone on here called IdreamofClooney and she's been around for a while .

Do you think I should change my name for fear of p'ssing her off?

(Chocolate is much nicer than Clooney any day IMHO, but I guess with all his money he could buy a lot of chocolate).

VamPesha · 02/10/2007 13:06

Well we took dp up the drs yesterday and dr looked at his knee and said if he didnt know that dp had had 2 operations on it and has a ruptured ligament he would have thought it was fine, he didnt think dp had done anything serious and decidedd it was just a sprain and he should have couple days off work if he felt he had to and just rest it. We disagreed! Went to A&E today who x-rayed it and he has a fractured knee cap He has a back slab (? back half is plaster, front is bandage) for now and has to go to fracture clinic thursday to see if it needs full plaster cast. So I can no longer accuse him of faking! And he has ostoephytes (?) too due to no cartilage so looks like he's getting arthritis. He's only 27 ffs!

The funny part was when they said they were gonna have to plaster it and dp realised he didnt have any pants on (he never does but you'd think it might have occured to him )! I offered to lend him mine but he wasnt keen I did make a dash home to get him some shorts but was too late so they cut his trousers!

I soooo wanted him to wear my lacy pants

busywithIzzy · 02/10/2007 13:34

Oh no Nutty sorry you're ill now too. Glad Erin getting better! Hope it's not too stressful with your parents around.

Glad you're feeling better Runny! Hope things sort out for you with work.

Dippy have you got a bit more work at the shop?

Eddas glad you're feeling better too. I am also looking forward to Christmas...I'm a big kid We will spend the whole day at my parents which I'm really looking forward too. DSDs will be dropped at my parents in the evening.

Good to see you Bramshott, sorry you're still struggling with the bottles. Izzy still BFs a lot during the day, I think you may be right about upping her milk through her solids and put the milk in a bottle/cup on hold, or keep offering in a cup but try not to worry if she doesn't take it iyswim...Ange is rambling

Bl**dy doctors Pesha...good job you went to A & E. PMSL at him wearing no pants
I thought you'd changed your name to vom Pesha for a sec there

mammyjo · 02/10/2007 14:38

Hi all. I have had enough. I am so tired. F has gone from being a good sleeper (waking maybe twice a night), to being an absolute nightmare. Last night I got up to her 7 times I am absolutely exhausted, as for the last week, I am only averaging 3-4 hours sleep a night. I simply do not know what to do. It is not always food she wakes for, its the bloody dummy.
Any suggestions? Just want to cry today

NorthernLurker · 02/10/2007 14:38

Add an aaaaaaaaaaaaargh to my earlier ugh - b's cough now sounds croup-like and she has just fallen asleep on me.

busywithIzzy · 02/10/2007 14:44

Mammyjo (((((hugs))))). Lack of sleep is just horrible. I don't know what to suggest.
Will she settle herself if left? I know when Izzy was smaller I used to get up at the slightest sound incase she woke Jake up?! Is she still in your room?

mammyjo · 02/10/2007 14:55

She has been in her own room since she was about 4 months. Just dont know what has changed to cause her to become such a PITA during the night.

busywithIzzy · 02/10/2007 14:58

Might she be cold? It has got colder overnight now?

weeonion · 02/10/2007 15:10
