i got one at a car boot BZ for couple quid - shes only 11 weeks though - what age was M when u first put her in it?

riabutterflew · 26/09/2007 17:11

bz - gorgeous.

yuk holly. my dm so kindly said that if i has ds3 attached to my front like that, in addition to my personal frontage, i wouldn't be able to reach to do anything!

daisyandbabybootoo · 26/09/2007 17:12

bah farking humbug.

I was absolutely gob-smacked that Next had all their christmas cards and wrapping on display and it wasn't even mid-September. I think they should be banned from putting stuff out until the beginning of November.

DS is already bleating on about it FFS!

I'm officially still mental, but less so apparently than last time I saw the doc, which is odd cos I feel worse. He's upped my dose of ADs and I am on zero alcohol ...not a drop, not even a glass or two at the weekend. Just until I'm on a more even keel, then he will drop the dose down again and I can have a glass of wine.

I got some fennel tea today...that helps with milk supply doesn't it?

It started raining here and I went to get the washing in, only to find I'd only hung up three items and the rest was still in a now very soggy heap in the bottom of the laundry basket.....bloody baby brain, I'd had to attend to DD earlier and forgot all about it. I'd left the back door open as well!

daisyandbabybootoo · 26/09/2007 17:15

she's lovely BZ.....I must get a bouncer for babyboo as she never stops dancing when she's standing on my lap.

I'm off to have a look now!

Ria....hope you feel better soon

bumperlicious · 26/09/2007 17:16

feeding problems again. i need earplugs. or some valium (for me not dd)

i'm so tired. have a headache and feel sick. dh not home for an hour.

riabutterflew · 26/09/2007 17:18

dh has just got in from the village shop - apparently awoman threw up all over because she caught a whiff of the village smelly man.

poor woman.

riabutterflew · 26/09/2007 17:19

poor you bumper.

can you give dd a bath to take her mind off it?

Jamantha · 26/09/2007 17:21

I agree about Xmas stuff coming out too early. Last couple of years I was horrified to receive the 2nd copy of the RSPCA xmas catalogue, with the "don't miss out, remember to order early for xmas" letter in before the Aug bank holiday weekend . They lost orders from me, on principle. The first copy only arrived this week this year, so perhaps they've had lots of complaints, so I may place an order this time.

bumperlicious · 26/09/2007 17:22

and now shes just done a huge poo (second of the day) in my lovely motherease.

fuck, i'm so fed up (not about the poo, just in general.) i really don't want to stop bfing but dh is starting to tell me i should.

Jamantha · 26/09/2007 17:24

I had a nose at your other pics BZ (sorry) - some lovely ones, I liked the baby in the hammock.

Are those bouncers easy to hang from the door? Do they do any damage to paintwork?

Jamantha · 26/09/2007 17:25

Poor Bumper, if it helps at all consider yourself hugged.

bumperlicious · 26/09/2007 17:40

arrrrrrrggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. i want it to stop.

Jamantha · 26/09/2007 17:48

I wish I knew what to say Bumper. Sorry it's all getting you down. All I can suggest is to have a good old rant, a good cry, a big glass of wine and to think about what's important to YOU

Jamantha · 26/09/2007 17:49

Oh and some chocolate, of course

BadZelda · 26/09/2007 17:52

No worries jamantha. think the baby in the hammock was dd1...can't believe that was only a couple of years ago...they grow up so fast!

andiem · 26/09/2007 17:56

hang in there bumper not long till bedtime I would stick her in the bath if I was you and then eat a great big bar of chocolate

Foxy it was croydon

Daisy I promise not to touch any of it again until the beginning of december but I couldn't resist

right need to crack on as have psa meeting at school tonight since I am going to be sahm have volunteered to be class rep this year

will catch up with you all tomorrow

BadZelda · 26/09/2007 18:09

Bumper sorry to hear you're still having difficulties...you were so confident with your feeding the day we met - I was v. impressed! Still, remember that you need to give yourself breaks...did you see the little baby games I posted? Maybe a bit of shadow play or pretending to be on the phone will make the time go faster till DH gets home? It's really hard like that some days...and then you wonder will it always be like that, and do I actually LIKE looking after little children...still seems worth it most of the time I think.

BadZelda · 26/09/2007 18:11

Oh and the bouncers: they are v. easy to hang from most door frames...they can damage pw a little bit if the lining paper is baggy, but otherwise don't cause any harm. (you can use a tea-towel around the door frame to protect it)

trace2 · 26/09/2007 18:12

hi all

bump sorry your feeling down hun, you could do with a break for a few hours is there some one who can have babe then you go out shopping or with a friend for a drink? it would do you world of good!

dd finaly had second lot of injections today and been weighed, she as dropped to 2and centile, she weighs 9 lb 13 at 16 weeks, me myself thought she was ok

daisyandbabybootoo · 26/09/2007 18:22

Hi trace......i hope she is OK with the injections this evening. babyboo was grizzly with secind lot, but no screaming like forst time.

Has your HV said anything about her weight, like are they worried. I'm assuming that they will make allowances as she has been so poorly?

Bumper, sorry things aren't going well again . Have you done the babymoon thing and just hung around in bed with her all day, letting her feed as and when with lots of skin to skin? Maybe go back to basics for a few days and not go out too much. I do find that our routine goes a bit awry when we are busy as she sleeps rather than feed.

Re feeling sick and headache....could you have mastitis or an infection?

Just remember you have done a great job with her so far, and no-one (except yourself maybe ) will criticise you if you did start to introduce formula. Would a bottle at this time mean that you could express a decent amount before you go to bed. I'm no expert but I would've thought that mixed feeding is easier to implement at this stage. Have you asked the MN panel?

Have some virtual (((((((((((hugs)))))))))))

bumperlicious · 26/09/2007 18:37

Thanks guys, She has fed finally so have a temporary respite and dh is home. DD is talking happily to her day

Daisy the headache and feeling sick are from being tired and sobbing! And dd screaming in my ear. You are right about the babymoon but there always seems to be something! I'll try and take it a bit more easy.

BZ, I bought some felt today in anticipation of making finger puppets which I got from those games. And am looking forward to playing tupperware drums!

Trace, glad you are back. Hope chloe is ok. You know her best.

bumperlicious · 26/09/2007 18:37

To her dad

trace2 · 26/09/2007 18:40

hi daisy, yes hv just said when you next at hospital, as we need to watch her weight now aswell. i just we could enjoy chloe with out all this going on, but i bet theres not many mother can enjoy there lols until about 6 7or 7 months

faylisa · 26/09/2007 19:17

Hi bumper - so sorry you're having such a rough time. Why don't you let DH give her some formula tonight, you have an early night and try again in the morning? My experience, with DD, was that a few bottles of FF made no difference to her desire to Bf. It sounds to me like you need to give yourself a bit of a break. YOu really have done SO well gfetting this far and giving her the odd bottle of Formula, or doing mixed feeding really does not mean that you have in any way failed her.

One other thought - are you eating enough? a friend of mine was having a problem with her BF baby not being satisfied and the HV told her that she wasn't eating enough calories so her milk wasn't rich enough to satisfy her DD. She started having a large snack between breakfast and lunch and another between lunch and dinner (eg baked potato) and it seemed to help.

Huge hugs

daisyandbabybootoo · 26/09/2007 19:48

Trace, best wishes for Chloe, she sounds like a real fighter. My cousins LO was poorly when she ws born and was on oxygen for apnoea and a feeding tube. She is now a fit and happy 12 year old.

bumper...have yoy phoned the nct helpline? sometimes just talking about it with someone helps. I did this at my lowesst point and they were so so nice.

i'm not sure that your diet has a great deal to do with quality of milk, although a mum who isn't eating well will be tired and drained. Do you think the thyroid thing is affecting thngs maybe?

sorrry bout spelling..left handedd typing only.

I farking hate bedtime
