Hi guys, I know it's been a while but I have been reading I promise!

Glad to hear about Cerys PLP!

Only really online to have a rant and get some crap off my chest (quick before I explode or DH gets home, which ever comes first!)

Lately things have been really hard with the money side of things, on paper we look ok as far as money goes but daily life is so harsh right now there's got to be some sort of mistake!

DH get's above the legal rquirement in wages to qualify for WTC, so we get a higher rate of CTC and Child benefit, along with Housing Benefits (although we don't get council tax benefit so most of our HB goes on the council tax!!) Anyway, had to reapply for HB recently, after they had sent us a letter saying that we're going to be paid, it all confused me they send that letter a couple of days after sending the re-application letter So i thought we didn't have to do it, so they held our November payment on hold until we got the forms in (still waiting for the ChB results), so it gets to the end of last week and I asked Dh to put £70 into my bank (£50 for my loan, £10 for mobile credit and £10 for Overdraft interest) but he couldn't do it! He was over £250 over his £1500 overdraft!! The council not only hadn't paid November's but they hadn't paid December's either, so that's 2 months that they owe us now and we still had to buy food as it was the end of the week and we hadn't done any shopping!
So, we tried to stretch out the food we had (with the help of our HV who picked up a care package for us from the locall charity) so we were ok until Monday when I phoned the council and asked what was going on and explained that if we didn't get some money by the end of the week that we'd have no food for our LO! The woman sorted it so that we'd have some money by the end of the week, but didn't know how much and, even thought I gave her the details of our new CTC and the (obvious) predicted incoming ChB she still said that we might owe them some money back!! (Oh, did I mention that our new HB award is almost half that of what we were getting before Lucy was born because they'd overpaid us over the past year by £300 and have to regain it from us over the next few months until the new award in April, so that means that the pittence that they'd been overpaying us by adds up to. . . that's right, poverty! )
So, anyway, as it goes the beginning of the week was rubbish, we only had soup to eat for our lunches (luckily DD1's on one with soup at the moment ) and chicken and pasta for dinners

Anyone fancy a riot?!!
The one time of year we really don't need to be put in the crap and they, not only stop our benefits but they take money away from us!! I don't get how they can run a council if they can't even figure out when people are at their most poor!
Also, as an extra kick in the teeth, we need oil, so that'll be £200 we have to pay next week!

It's bad enough that we weren't buying anyone presents this year as we can't afford it (not even for DD1!! We've got her's off Freecycle thank goodness!)
I'm hoping to convice DH's parent's to let us stay into the new year as this will help save some oil!
(I'm currently sat in the front room with the door shut with a pair of gloves on!! DD1's got almost every item of clothing that she has on and Lucy's covered in blankets LOL And that's with an electric heater going!! LOL this house is soooo cold! )

I'm still feeling festive though! I'm taking DH's bank card into town tomorrow to do the shopping (if the money's not in the bank I will be marching into that office and having the lot of them! I'm not a small woman either lol )

I know I've been lucky with Lucy getting into a routine and everything but I think that's the best I'm going to get with luck this year!! Thank goodness the year's nearly over eh?!
DD1's turned into a little goblin, she's continuing the screeching/screaming (mind you as I'm typing she's sat on the floor playing with a puzzle quietly!! )
and has also started fibbing!! Not wuite sure how to get her out of that one yet?!
She's totally settled around Lucy now though, she even finds her quite boring sometimes lol!

Ok got to go, DD1 want juice.
Sorry to rant guys, back to the epic posts though lol !!
will catch up again soon

Hi ACmum, thanks for asking about Liam. The answer is I still don't know. He is a lot better now and has finished his abs. But noone is telling me his results. I phoned the hospital again yesterday and spoke to a nurse in a&e. She said that the results are in, but she can't decipher them, so she'll talk to a dr and call me back. Finally my gp surgery rang, to say a&e had been in touch. The receptionist said the hosp had spoken to a gp and she's phoning me with the message that "Liam is fighting a nasty infection and that he is not to have his immunisations for at least 3-4 wks" (was due for his first lot yesterday). So I ask if that means postitive for whooping cough, she doesn't know. She can't give me any more information so I leave it by making a dr's appointment for Monday. The good news was that the massage lady agreed to still do his massage yesterday. He really enjoys that, and he is really restful afterwards. Incidentally she is very much of the mind that babies should be much older before they have their jabs. I'm just a bit concerned because I know his imunity is lowered by the steroids I have to take. He's probably had more snuffles and colds at 3.5 months than my 2yo and 7yo put together.

Kyala, what a situation you are in. Wish I could help in some way. I know it sounds like you know what to do, but would it be worth a visit to the cab to see if they can speed up payments to you, or point you to where you could access resources to tide you over? Please keep us posted how you are getting on.

Big purple cuddles for little Cerys. Hope your recovery is going well and that you'll soon be home.

MrsBumblebee · 14/12/2007 17:34

Hi everyone.
Kyala, I'm so sorry to hear about your financial situation - it sounds really difficult. You must be at the 'authorities' for being so useless. I really hope you manage to kick some butt before Christmas and they give you what you're due.

Kinki, I'm sorry you've still got the uncertainty over Liam. Fingers crossed that it's nothing too nasty - I'm sure they would have told you more quickly if it was .

I hate to do a cheerful post when other people have got stuff like that to worry about, but I had to come and tell someone that Paul slept through the night for the first time last night!! 7pm until 6.30am, with a dreamfeed at 10.30pm. I know 6.30am still sounds a bit early, but I'd have to wake him at 6.45am anyway to take DH to work. I'm sure his good night was linked to the fact that I finally started putting him down for proper naps the day before - until then he was just catnapping on my knee. Dal, thanks for the Baby Whisperer tip - it was reading that that inspired me to start a daytime sleep routine. Until then, I'd assumed that I'd have to leave him to cry if I wanted to teach him to sleep; but her method (keep comforting him and then put him back down, over and over again if necessary, and use a dummy if all else fails) is working a treat. She's also taught me to spot when Paul begins to get tired, before he goes into meltdown.

Anyway, sorry for the long 'me' post, but I was just so excited about Paul's night's sleep. Hope everyone else is making progress and having a happy day.

amyclaramum · 14/12/2007 18:07

Hi Everyone ! Hope you have alovely weekend ?

Kinki - sorry you've still not heard about little Liam - poor love - hope they can sort it out on Monday - good luck! Eloise has a chest infection and is on ab's - I'd forgotten how hard it is to get medicine into a little baby ! She is really miserable too !

Kyala- so sorry you are having all these money worries - hope you can get some help soon !

EdieMcredie · 14/12/2007 21:15

MrsBumble Thats great. Millie has been going from about 10pm til about 8 for a while but would rather she went to bed earlier and got up earlier. Not sure how to do this though...

Kyala-If you are gonna spend 70 quid online in Tesco-type in XX83JT to get a tenner off

PurpleTinselPrincess · 15/12/2007 03:01

Hello all!!! Yes its me - we came home early!!! Thank you all so much for your lovely messages, it really does mean a lot to know you all care so much!

It was all such a rush, I didn't get a chance to do a text to let everybody know (sorry chatty and mrsfish!). We got home about 9pm, what a long day...

It has all gone well but poor Cerys is soooo sore bless her. She came straight onto the ward so it was a relief that she didn't need to go to PICU (intensive care). I insisted they keep her on the morphene this time as they took her off it too quickly last time and she was in agony; so she was weaned off it today. She was on a catheter from the operation up to this evening which was why we got home so late - she had to do a wee herself before we could be let home! I've got lots of calpol and calprofen and I'm fully intending on keeping her dosed up to the nines for the week ahead at least. What I had forgotten was that she has to go back for a general anaesthetic (day case) next week so they can examine their work without upsetting her.

As far as the surgery itself, the consultant said she has a very strange bottom lol! Normally in cases like this, there would be a fistula going to either the vagina or the urethra but Cerys hasn't got any of them. Her bowel was sitting very close to the skin but in the wrong place so he has put it in the right place - we won't know how strong her muscles are till she potty trains but she has got some there. In the meantime, it just looks like a mass of stitches. I know if my bum had been cut open then stitched like that I'd be really sore - I can't imagine how awful it must be for her!

The next operation (hopefully mid Feb) will be to reverse the colostomy which is pretty straightforward but it means she will have to starve for a lot longer to clear her system in preparation. For now, I just want to concentrate on getting her well again. Despite being in such pain, she is still managing to smile and coo and keeps looking at her hands. She is also dribbling and chomping on her fists so no doubt we've got teething to come too!

kyala, sorry to hear you're having a rough time of it. We've had some pretty dire christmasses in the past due to similar type problems so my heart goes out to you. Hope it all gets sorted soon ((hugs))

kinki - glad to hear liam is doing well, hope you get some more detailed results soon.

Congrats to all those with lo's sleeping through, it makes all the difference doesn't it! I make the mistake of still staying up late instead of going to bed (like now!) but I do like to have some time to myself while the house is quiet!

Love to all, sorry I haven't caught up properly but I will do soon - going to bed now as I'm knackered where the adrenaline has run out (((((((((hugs)))))))

PLP xxx

PurpleTinselPrincess · 15/12/2007 03:05

kyala, sorry, I meant financially dire then - as long as you're all together it'll be lovely. I look back and some of those 'awful' christmasses have been quite special because all we could focus on was being together as we didn't have anything else positive to focus on. Hope that has come across in the right way ((((hugs)))) xx

kyala · 15/12/2007 21:40

Hi guys
Thanks for the emotional support ((hugs back))
PTP: glad little Cerys is back home, that's such good news!! Don't worry I know what you meant before lol

Thanks Eadie but I didn't manage to get back on here until now so have already ordered shopping will it work next time or is it a one off thing? (Is it a voucher?) Thanx

I am sort of looking forward to Xmas still, although I know dd1 is going to be hellish afterwards!!
Think festive. . . .

fettleandbabyfettle · 16/12/2007 20:30

Dear All - sorry I've not been around much. I just don't seem to have the time to keep up with this thread - I'm really sorry. But I just wanted to check in and see how you all are, especially PTP and little Cerys.

I'm so pleased to hear you are both home and Cerys is doing so well. Poor little lamb, I don't blame you wanting to keep her as pain free as possible for the time being, it must be agony for her and she just won't understand it all.

I'm sorry to hear about the other poorly babies as well - I hope they get better soon.

I hope everyone is doing ok - I'm sorry I haven't got time to keep up with the thread properly - have to get around to writing our Christmas cards this evening - can't put them off any longer. Probably already missed the last post date!

We're doing surprisingly well here. Toby has slept through 5 nights out of the last 6 and on that one night woke a 5am for a very quick feed and then resettled very quickly. Not quite sure how long it will last or what I've done differently with him compared with DD, except follow no routine whatsoever! The main difference is that he has found his thumb and sucks it to help himself fall asleep (which is good for me, not so his future teeth!!) He's still in his moses basket though, so we'll see what happens when he moves out of our room into his cot in his own room when we get back after New Year. We're spending 2 weeks with my parents, which hopefully will be relaxing with lots of help for me and cuddles for Toby!

BTW, I leave both DC in the car when paying for petrol, but lock the car and make sure that I'm watching it all the time. But I do try and fill the car up at weekends with DH, or get him to do it for me, as I don't like leaving them in the car alone really.

PurpleTinselPrincess · 16/12/2007 22:23

Hi all,

I think Cerys's reflux is flaring up again bless her! It was really difficult to keep to our usual routine while in hospital so I think the different times of dosages of ranitidine has thrown her a bit. LLL - it took a long time for the ranitidine to really take effect ime e.g. a good few weeks I think. She's still only 10lbs 5ozs (last week) so I know how you feel having a very tiny baby compared to the rest. At the end of the day they're all different and as long as she's gaining weight at a reasonable rate I don't think it matters. I'm not sure when she gets weighed next but her appetite has reduced considerably and it seems to be painful to feed as well as a few vomits again so we'll see...

Apart from that, Cerys is doing really well. She can get herself to sleep now as long as she's got her dummy in and a muslin covering her face - its hilarious to watch her! I started getting her to do it before we went into hospital as I knew I wouldn't be able to cuddle her in the normal way. I honestly think she prefers to get herself to sleep now! We've started putting her in the nursery (in her moses basket) in the daytime and early evening but I still like to have her next to me at night. She too is getting quite big for the moses basket so I need to get the cotbed sorted out and I'm aiming to have her in there over the new year. We use a video monitor and its brilliant! Also, I remembered we've got some of those sleeping bags and we're using one tonight...

I'm quite sure she's starting to teeth - dribbling, chewing on fists etc. I've been giving her one of those funny looking dummies (Tommee Tippee I think?) and she likes chomping on that. My friend swears by the powders so I'm going to get some of that soon too.

We've got the benefit of older siblings so I'm blessed to be able to run in to pay for petrol/pop to shop while DD1 or DS keeps an eye on her in the car. I suppose I would leave her in there on her own with it locked if I had to but only if she was asleep. I reckon I'd take her with me if she was awake but I think thats only because I'm paranoid with her - I'm sure I used to leave DS and DD1 on their own when they were tiny if the car was locked and it was just a few minutes.

DH had an 'episode' this afternoon which wasn't pleasant - he owes DD1 a fortune in swear money now! The doctors/psychiatrists have messed up his ad's so we're back to square one and he's all muddled up .

Anyway, better get on. Love to all and hope you're all doing well xxxxxxxxxxxxx

PLP (((hugs)))

MrsMar · 17/12/2007 11:55

Hello everyone, been off for a few days in sunny Jersey. Luca had his first flight and was a little champion. On the way out I flew on my own with him, and he was brilliant. Mind you I got loads of help from people so that was great. I even breastfed him as we were thundering along the runway!!

So glad to see you back hopey! We've missed you!

Dal - sorry to hear about your mum, I hope she's got some good painkillers to get her through christmas. Could you persuade her by making her think it's her idea to come to scotland? Perhaps imply you desperately need some help with ryan? ooh, just read kinki suggested that... but she phrased it better.

Mrsb, luca has regressed a bit on his sleeping too.. he was doing 7pm to 8am with a feed at around 11pm, but in the past couple of weeks he's started waking at about 3am. I think his cold wakes him up cos he can't sleep. Wierdly, when we were staying at the hotel in Jersey and he was sleeping in a travel cot he slept brilliantly. On Saturday night he slept from midnight to 7am! I don't think I've had that long uninterrupted sleep since he was born and I do so miss it! I think he's starting to out grow his moses basket. he still fits in it, but i think he'd prefer to be in a bigger cot. I'll have to put him in his own room soon, so my baby won't be sleeping inches from my cheek! sob!!

I too leave luca in the car at petrol stations while paying. i did think about it the first time, I know it's a hot topic of debate on here, but what can you do? Am I supposed to disentangle the car seat from the seat belt just to pay when I can see him?

PLP - so glad to hear cerys came through her surgery with flying colours. I hope she gets better soon and isn't in too much pain.

I've got to dash, got to take a load of washin got the launderette. 5 weeks after my washing machine broke down, I'm still waiting for the engineers to fix it!!!

Take care everyone xx

itsTwiiiiiiiiiiitmaaaaaaasss · 17/12/2007 11:59

hi all, I haven't been on for ages as poor babytwit has been in hospital with bronchilitis and a chest infection. All cleared up now, although the cough can stay for ages.

I haven't read through yet, but I hope all is well with you all.

MrsFish · 17/12/2007 17:17

Hi Twit, glad to hear baby twit is all better. My two have had coughs now for nearly three weeks, I'm hoping they'll clear up soon.

MrsMar - well done you for attempting a flight on your own, I have done this once when Sam was about a year old, I was dreading it but as you say people tend to help when they can see you are on your own

PLP - glad to hear Cerys is doing well, when are you back for her check up? hope your DH feels better soon... blimey, you really are wonder woman with everything you are having to deal with, it makes me realise just how easy I have it

Kyala - I hope you get things sorted out for christmas {{hugs}}

Well I have had a fabulous two nights with Ben, he was 10 weeks old on friday and for the past two nights he has done 12 hours between feeds had his last bottle about 7ish, gone to sleep at 8ish and then slept through till 7.30am the next morning I don't know how long it will last but for the moment I'm thanking my lucky stars

kelmcmistletoe · 17/12/2007 17:47

Hello everyone
My goodness, i am sooo jealous of those of you whose bubs sleep thru I am feeling so so tired at the moment as Arben is waking every 2-3hrs for feeds. It is getting a bit much at the moment and struggling with the B'feeding aswell But cant complain too much as he is healthy and happy and thats what counts the most i think
I also think he maybe teething at the moment as he seems to continuously munching on his fists, the dribble is unbelievable and i can just see two little white marks on his gums, mind you dont know if they have been there all along or just coming up now??!! Who knows!
Anyway, hope you are getting ready for xmas, i still need to buy presents but will get them this week
Take care and wrap up warm, its bloomin freezing huh?! xx

HammerHeadShark · 18/12/2007 04:50

Hi all - have not caught up for ages, there never seems to be enough time!

PLP - so glad to hear Cerys's op went well, she is so brave - hope all goes well when they have another look this week. LOL at her settling to sleep with a muslin over her head - babies are so funny

Kyala - sorry to hear you are having such a nightmare and hope you get the cashflow nonsense sorted soon.

Twit - poor babytwit being in hospital, hope his cough is settling now.

Kinki - hope Liam (and you!) are feeling well again - did you ever get any results back for him?

Dal - how's your mum - have you managed to convince her to come for Christmas yet?

Kelm - am also of all these lovely sleeping through babies - Millie has gone backwards a bit and has been waking twice in the night for a week or two - as well as feeding all evening until about 9.30pm. We moved her into her own room two nights ago so I hope she will settle again as I think we are all disturbing each other!

I can't hold it against her too much as she always giggles and grins with delight when I pick her up or chat to her, she is very happy if not sleepy!

Had the DTs nursery Christmas party and play yesterday which was hilarious and a bit scary (30+ toddlers high on chocolate and Father Christmas!). Millie was an angel and slept most of the time, apparently the DTs are always talking about their "baby Millie my sister" and saying how she is very small but that they are big girls! Help - they are growing up too fast!

Looking forward to Christmas though still have plenty to do - the DTs decorated the tree so it looks like someone has thrown up a shedload of tinsel over the bottom half but the top is completely bare above toddler height, apart from the star they instructed me to put on the top.

Its sods law that I'm awake now and Millie is sleeping, as soon as I go back to bed I'm sure she will be ready to party Wish I was a heavy sleeper like DH - tested him by shouting (quite loudly) "The house is on fire" in his ear the other night while I was feeding Mille but he just carried on grunting and snoring and snuffling and letting off the occasional fart - may have to actually set him on fire to get a response, farts catch light right?

Have a good one all x x x

kinkiclaus · 18/12/2007 06:24

Hi ladies. Only a week to go! It's getting exciting isn't it?! I don't know about you but I'm suddenly feeling like I'm not very organised. We took Liam to see Santa at the weekend with his brothers. He quite liked him, he had a big, big cuddle with him. I was very proud because he wasn't sick over his lovely red suit and beard. We spent the weekend in London, and I don't know how some of you manage the tube on a regular basis with babies, buggies and toddlers. It was a nightmare and I had dh with me. How do you manage all those flights of stairs. Some of the stations had disabled access but not many. Wouldn't like to do that on a regular basis. We're doing the same this coming weekend. We're seeing the cbeebies live show at wembley on Sunday, so we thought we'd make a weekend of it.

Liam is getting stronger by the day. And his cough has all but gone now. We went to the drs yesterday and he was pleased with his progress. He said we can finally get his first immunisations done, but can't get an appt for a couple of weeks, typical. The other frustrating thing is the whooping cough result still hadn't come in, so the dr phoned and the lab said the test has probably got lost. So it seems we'll probably never know. Guess it doesn't matter really, since he's well now. My cynical friend says it was probably positive, and gone missing on purpose as it is a notifiable disease which means paperwork would have to have been done! Sorry to hear about babytwit and all the other los with coughs, colds and chest infections. It's all very worrying when they are ill. I've been on an even keel for the last week. I have to see the dr today, hopefully she'll agree. Let's see if I can go a whole week without abs! (was on them for about a month).

We've got ds2's nativity and concert this morning, which should be fun. The lovely ladies at the pre-school work so hard so that us mummies can have a little weep over our little darlings dressed as shepherds and angels singing 'away in a manager'. Which reminds me, last week ds2 kept asking if I wanted a new ear, and kept pretending to give me one. I really couldn't understand what he was on about. Then I caught him singing to himself: "We wish you a merry Christmas, ...... etc .... and a happy new ear"!

Hammer, your tree sounds just perfect. Please try not to set your dh on fire, you'll probably scorch your duvet as well, and you need that as its cold outside. Ptp, hope Cerys' reflux settles down quickly as you re-establish her routine. And I hope dh is feeling better soon.

dal21 · 18/12/2007 09:13

Hi everyone

Not enough hours in the day at the moment! Skimming posts v. quickly.

PTP - you and cerys seem to be doing so well. Sorry her reflux is playing up again and hope it all sorts itself out.

Twit - hope your LO also gets better.

MrsF - fab news on the sleeping through! well done you!

Kyala - hope the situation with you is a little better. any updates?

MrsB - am so glad the babywhisperer helped you! isnt it a godsend! i am now moving ryan into 4 hourly feeds where poss, plus putting him down whilst awake so he starts teaching himself to go to sleep.

Kelm - i know that if it hadnt been for the BW, I would still have been feeding ryan at nighttimes - I felt cruel at the time but stopped giving him nighttime feeds when I knew he didnt need them anymore. If you are happy still feeing arben that frequently, then please ignore me but he may just be waking out of habit...

MrsM - lol at you bfeeding as the plane thundered on the runway. thats one way of making sure your LO doesnt cry!

Hammer - LOL at your DH!!

Kinki - you still havent had the results? what the h*! are they waiting for santa claus to bring it on his sleigh! i think that is appalling - but glad to hear Liam is doing better.

Re. mum, thanks for all your posts - she won't come to scotland but she has quite a few friends nearby who have offered to help/ come and stay so I feel better about leaving her at home. She is a stubborn lady and there is no changing her mind!

A big hello to all those reading who dont have time to post - hope you are all ok.

Cannot believe Christmas day is nearly here! Our LO's will be weaning in the non too distant future - I ordered Ryans highchair yesterday as we got a discount voucher (plus anyone who is thinking about buying the stokke trip trap highchair - prices are apparently going up in the new year). Am also looking at weaning books - cannot believe it has already come round! Am I bad to be looking forward to not being the only one who will be able to feed him??

Anyhows, that was a mammoth post - will try and get back on here before Christmas and say hi. Take care all!

kyala · 18/12/2007 14:21

Well, I'm feeling a lot better about the whole thing now. Despite still not hearing anything new from the ChB people, or the HB peeps for that matter, the cupboards are full of food and I'm going to be busying myself over the next few days with sewing pretty things (pyjamas for me and a reindeer outfit for DD1, it's got to be done )

Ooh and am still having random inspirations for the summer ball, so that's keeping my mind off things

Righty-ho back to feeling festive. . .
"We wish you a merry chrimble and a happy pooh bear"

amyclaramum · 18/12/2007 20:49

Hello all !

Sorry to hear your baby has been so poorly Twit - hope she's all better now ?

PLP - glad to hear Cerys is doing well - hope you and your DH are feeling ok after all the stress of the operation ? Eloise likes to put her muslin over her face too - makes me think of an Italian mama throwing her apron over her head !(sorry if i've offended any Italian mamas!)

Kinki - lol at your Ds - Happy new ear to you to o ! When dd2 was at nursery she kept singing "we tidy the things" .... instead of "good tidings we bring" - obviously well trained by her mummy to tidy up !

Hammer - lol at your DH - sounds like mine tbh - he even slept through my dd2 screaming her head off the other night when having a nightmare !!

Hope everyone else is ok and not too stressed with Christmas wrapping etc. ? Love to you all

EdieMcredie · 18/12/2007 21:56

Kyala-It expired on the 16th but I have one for 17th-23rd which is a fiver off £50. It's xx2rvt. It's got my name on so hope it still works. If you don't need it, doesn't matter. It's just that we have some for sainsbury's so are using them at the moment! Are you any good at sewing? I have a really nice machine but don't know how to use it!

PTP-Cerys sounds like she is doing brilliantly! Hope the reflux settles again.

Dal-No you are not bad for looking forward to being able to share out the feeding!! Although I love BFing, I cannot wait to be able to go out for the whole day without having to express! (Millie is still refusing bottle anyway so that's pretty hard)

Sorry to all those with poorly babies.

Hello my lovelies
Sorry my posts have been rather grim of late, still, things are looking a lot better, having a friend that has done everything she can to help us out (bought us a £33 turkey and gave me £40 for veggies today, golly I love her to bits!! She's so selfless it's astounding!)

Anywho, EADIE: Thank you so much for the offer but, having done our shopping we probably wont need it now (and we're away over Xmas so we probably wont be doing any more shopping for a good 3/4 weeks now) but thank you anyway, it's a lovely offer.
Am I any good at sewing?! I'm a seamstress as it happens lol (Self taught as it happens, but it took me a good couple of years of very slow methodical workings to get everything figured out in that way lol)

I'm soooooo looking forward to next week, having the week off from DD1 (with any luck), having the IL's fuss over her etc, (just hope I've not got too much of a challenge to get her back to normal afterwards )
I've got to do some planning for this Saturday (Yule) and I'm not entirely sure what to do?! I'm pretty sure I'm going to be cooking either lamb or turkey and having DD1 help me with some baking, I think I'll give her a present or 2 to open aswell, so that it's really special for her.
And then I'll spend the evening locked away chanting the roof off lol

Anywho, sorry I haven't had much time to read posts (again !) I will make it my NY's resolution to make more of an effort!!

xxx

You're right dal, my lmp was 19 Dec. Blimey what a year! So, dare I ask, anyone planning the next one yet? Perhaps we should take bets who will be first.
