bloody bargain JBM....the same size bundle sold for £47 quid yesterday!

faylisa · 17/09/2007 21:52

All sorted now, sort of - we had a big argument because DH (who's off work all this week) wanted to take DD to the park and got annoyed when I asked him to take DS as well. I only wanted him to take DS so that I could unpack after our hol and I knew Ds would sleep all afternoon if he was being pushed around the park. Anyway it escalated from there - stupid really

faylisa · 17/09/2007 21:53

Am I the only one on here who is still (albeit a bit guiltily!) using disposables?

justbeme · 17/09/2007 21:55

No - Im still using them, but am dipping my toes in the water!!

bumperlicious · 17/09/2007 21:56

JBM, I was watching those but decided to wait and see how I get on with the few that I have coming so far. We'd better be careful we don't want to start bidding against each other!

Jamantha, hope DD feels better soon.

Daisy sorry you are having a shit time. Do ya thing we should all just join up and live together without the men like some kind of Kibbutz?

Anyway, just popping in, going to express then off to bed.

daisyandbabybootoo · 17/09/2007 21:56

No faylisa, others are too. I've been using them at night for the last few days as DD has had really dry skin. I've been handwashing my wraps and think I wasn't rinsing them enough . either that or the bamboo nappies I got need to be washed a few more times.

daisyandbabybootoo · 17/09/2007 21:59

LOL bumper...we need to update a list of our ebay names. I'm "camandjack" if anyone comes across that.

I like the idea of a kibbutz. We could ship in our DHs though when we fancied a bit of nookie....or better still, a babysitter

faylisa · 17/09/2007 22:00

LOL Bumper - would we be allowed to talk to each other in RL or have to communicate by computer?!

daisyandbabybootoo · 17/09/2007 22:08

Im off to bed with a hot lemon drink and some ibuprofen....good nighty x

faylisa · 17/09/2007 22:10

Night all, I'm off as well.

We're going to Legoland tomorrow for DH's and DD's birthday treat - the question is.... who will enjoy it more?!

justbeme · 17/09/2007 22:15

Have a good time Faylisa - I cant believe it - its pouring down here - 1st bit of rain so far in september!

Im off too - I told you I'd be tired tonight after my early start and then the excitement of bidding on ebay has just been too much

daisyandbabybootoo · 17/09/2007 22:17

Faylisa....I just had a squinty at your photos on facebook, LOLOL. The one of your DCs with their thing 1 and 2 t-shirts are priceless. I want some of those for my DCs.....but do they do adult ones so I can get one for DH too?

trendaverter · 18/09/2007 07:41

were we saying who we were on ebay? I sometimes bid...I am flowerpot_21

trendaverter · 18/09/2007 07:43

oh btw there is a WAHM seller on ebay - ann1361?? anyway I bought one of her wraps, they are dirt cheap and do the job really well.
Nature babies are good too.

daisyandbabybootoo · 18/09/2007 07:58

LOL TA....now we have 3 names to remember! I don't think my baby befuddled brain will be able to take all of it in

I have wondered about the WAHM nappies and wraps, but didn't want to waste money. It's good to get some feedback.

Morning, another early morning from a snuffly DD. Another grouchy mummy nagging at daddy! It occurred to me that though DH is very hands on when he gets home he never does anything for DD in the morning, because he gets up at the last minute (meanwhile I am up with DD at 5.45 this morning), so even though he only works 8 hours a day he has a 1.5 hour round trip commute so actually I take sole responsibility for DD from 6 or so in the morning to 6.30 at night. That's more than a full time job!

Oh, ignore me I'm just feeling grouchy that I'm the one who has to get up with DD early in the morning and he doesn't even get up to make me a cuppa!

Jamantha · 18/09/2007 08:30

Know what you mean Bumper. I get up when DD wakes - anytime between 6 and 7.30. DH gets up about 8.10 normally. Apart from a short period when he'll watch her (often with his eyes closed I suspect?) if i lie her on the bed next to him while I get dressed, I look after her until he gets home about 6 or 6.30pm

Jamantha · 18/09/2007 08:31

Having DD has got me out of taking him breakfast in bed and making his sandwiches though, so I should be grateful.

bumperlicious · 18/09/2007 08:36

He said to me, can't you sleep when she sleeps? No, because when she sleeps I have the choice of eating, having a shower, going on mumsnet, doing housework and sleep usually comes at the bottom of that list!

How is DD jamantha, is she better?

Jamantha · 18/09/2007 08:36

Mind, I do still make his sandwiches some mornings.

Jamantha · 18/09/2007 08:40

She woke at 10.30 9most unlike her), had a change and some calpol, and was offered a feed but wasn't really interested. Went straight back to sleep until 3.40am, has change and feed as normal and slept until 7am. Seems more her usual self this morning thankfully.

Sleep when she sleeps? Not usually, because I'm either holding her, pushing her in the pushchair, or sitting nervously wondering if she'll go more than 5 mins without screaming the house down (usually not).

bumperlicious · 18/09/2007 08:41

Get DD to help you ! To be fair dh made make lunch throughout my pregnancy because I couldn't bear to do it in the morning.

I'm so tired, but when i have a soft warm little baby in my arms it doesn't feel so bad - until she starts crying then its 10 times worse!

Charlie999 · 18/09/2007 08:48

Morning you two ...I've been up since about 6am as well...

Glad DD is a bit better this morning Jamantha...perhaps she is beginning to teethe?

I always make DHs sandwiches the night before....breakfast in bed...blimey, never to things like that

DH is pretty good in the mornings..we have to feed a very vocal cat, dog, baby and tea for us and we generally split it between us...although I feed DD as she would probably puke over his work clothes ...

Daisy, hope things are better this morning and antibiotics have started to work

Jamantha · 18/09/2007 08:54

DD screaming again. Maybe not all well

BadZelda · 18/09/2007 08:56

At the risk of sounding like a b*tch - I really wouldn't like to be married to some of your husbands - they sound like total wankers! (grumpy zelda alert this morning)
