Touch wood he's ok since the jabs. Hope it continues!

Yes, think norovirus. They call it gastro here. Yuk!!!

@yellowspot the banana! Now you say that I saw something about this too , can't remember where, and how it helps. Anything worth a try @Littlehouseinthebigcity

Littlehouseinthebigcity · 17/03/2021 06:35

She often has a banana in the morning, maybe I should switch it to evening! We've tried all the other suggestions though and it doesn't seem to make any difference. Unfortunately I think she is just a natural early bird. Hopefully it won't be that long until she's old enough to wake up and play without disturbing us! 😂

Littlehouseinthebigcity · 19/03/2021 06:34

Well we haven't tried a banana but she didn't wake until 5.45 today! Though realising I see 5.45 as a lie in has made me question my life choices 😂

Geegrl19 · 21/03/2021 04:57

@Littlehouseinthebigcity there will come a time you won't be able to get her up in the mornings. A happy medium would be good! 🤪

Littlehouseinthebigcity · 21/03/2021 06:25

@Geegrl19 haha indeed! I was trying to imagine what life in our house will look like when both girls are teenagers! 🙈 Probably less PeppaPig!
Has anyone got fun Easter plans? We're hoping to do an Easter egg hunt in the garden and potentially meet my inlaws outside when it's allowed for an Easter trail! But so many people have brought the girls eggs already...

THATbasicSNOWFLAKE · 02/04/2021 14:40

Hi all think i fell off the thread again!

How is everyone?

drumst1ck · 02/04/2021 16:18

Hi! Plodding along here. 39 weeks on Sunday and so, so ready for this baby to arrive now. DD has been enjoying the good weather and having a few garden play dates which has been amazing to see as she's barely played with anyone over her lifetime. DH has put up a slide for her in the garden and she will quite happily do laps of that for a good half an hour!

How is everyone getting on? Still only 3/4 words here, she just doesn't seem fussed about talking! (Too busy climbing...)

Dyra · 02/04/2021 16:21

Hey @THATbasicSNOWFLAKE I'm sitting outside enjoying the sunshine. When the clouds let it through anyway. Got to get my vitamin D in since next week looks like winter is coming (again). Getting myself back on Metformin next week. Once the GP reminds me of the dose I was on to get my periods regular anyway. How're you getting on?

Happy due date month @drumst1ck!

Dyra · 02/04/2021 16:27

Heh. Cross post. Glad you're ok @drumst1ck. Only a few words here as well. Alice learnt "no" a few weeks ago. She only says it when I'm pointing at various things trying to work out what she does want. "Salt shaker?" "No" head shake "Pepper grinder" "No" head shake "Polling card?" reachy grabby hands

THATbasicSNOWFLAKE · 02/04/2021 16:48

3-4 words here too with the main one being "no"

Drumstick where you early / on time / late last time?

drumst1ck · 02/04/2021 17:01

We have no here too, it's quickly becoming her favourite word Grin

I was one day late with DD so I'll be very upset if I go over that! I was seriously emotional and weepy yesterday and thought something might be brewing but sadly doesn't look like it!

How is pregnancy going for the rest of you who are expecting?

Geegrl19 · 06/04/2021 09:42

@drumst1ck wow, so close. Exciting!

Not many words here too either. Uh-oh is his favourite at the mo.

I ate far too much chocolate yesterday. Such a pig but it had to be done!

Dyra · 06/04/2021 15:49

There's no such thing as too much chocolate @Geegrl19!

Can't wait for all the shops to reopen next week. I don't need to buy anything, but at least I could if I wanted to! Hopefully family won't be too long afterwards. They've got to bring down Alice's Christmas presents that wouldn't fit in the car! 🤭

yellowspot · 08/04/2021 07:49

@drumst1ck so close! Good luck for the next week or so if baby hasn't already made an appearance ❤️

I have my 12 week scan next week and am nervous / excited. Still not feeling very real at the moment other than the sickness.

E still isn't really saying anything other than dada. He shakes his head no (drives me mad lol) and is making a lot more consonant sounds. Also non stop babbling so hoping he'll catch up soon.

Anyone experiencing 18 month sleep regression? We thought we'd finally cracked it with 4 weeks of really good nights only for that to go down hill about 3 weeks ago. Now he's up every single night for up to 4 hours 😬

THATbasicSNOWFLAKE · 08/04/2021 08:12

@drumst1ck i'm a bit envious that you may have already met your baby! Or will be doing very soon!

Approaching 28 weeks here and not looking forward to being a whale in the summer!

drumst1ck · 08/04/2021 08:32

Sadly have not met baby yet. Feeling very miserable and have already spent the morning crying. Hoping that's a sign but then I think everything is a sign...so....I'm not even due until Sunday but I think I'll be a wreck if I go over!

@THATbasicSNOWFLAKE that's one plus I found with a winter pregnancy was I actually kept my ankles for a lot longer this time!

Not sure if it's 18 month sleep regression as it hasn't affected her nights but we have had a lot of nap refusal recently. She seems to be getting back into it but she thought a few weeks before my due date was a great time to refuse all day time naps and be a demon by tea time.

THATbasicSNOWFLAKE · 08/04/2021 08:34

Oh drumst1ck i'm sorry your feeling low! Maybe the emotional state is a sign though who knows!

No sleep regression here thank god, think that would finish me off!

Dyra · 08/04/2021 14:58

I thought we'd had the 18 month sleep regression, but we've just had a couple of really shit nights recently. A few nap refusals too. A crushing handhold from me to everyone else going through it. It will end. It has to. Right?

Sorry to hear you're feeling down @drumst1ck. Everything crossed for you that you don't go overdue. Not much longer to go. You can do this.

Nearly 12 weeks already @yellowspot?! That's absolutely flown by. Good luck for next week. Let us know how you get on.

Started on the Metformin today. 850mg twice a day. Forgot how big of a pill they are. Least they'll also help get my weight back under control. Once lockdown is lifted, I'll get my TSH levels checked to see if I need some Thyroxine again as well. If not pregnant by the end of the year, then Clomid again. TTC train is gathering speed!

Geegrl19 · 13/04/2021 13:28

Ooh exciting baby news any time! All the siblings will look like giants compared to the new little bubbas

My poor baby has caught hand foot and mouth from daycare. It.is.evil. Every web page you read has you believe it's a mild illness, nothing major. Fuck me. It's hell. Poor Nato has them in his mouth and has spent most of the day crying. He'll have one mouthful of something and break down in floods of tears. Same with liquids. But hey, at least the high temp has gone. His mouth is so sore he doesn't even want his dummy. Pray for me, gonna be another long night as hes waking up crying every 25 minutes 🤪

Geegrl19 · 13/04/2021 13:29

Hope you're all enjoying the easing if restrictions there. Must seem very strange after going nowhere for so long.

THATbasicSNOWFLAKE · 13/04/2021 13:32

Oh bless you both @Geegrl19, mine did only have mild cases of HFM but my friends son (who caught it from mine Blush) had it as you described? Will your gp prescribe anything?

Dyra · 13/04/2021 15:43

Oh goodness. That sounds awful @Geegrl19. Can he have anything for his mouth ulcers?

How're you getting on @drumst1ck?

drumst1ck · 13/04/2021 16:33

Baby boy arrived this morning after a very smooth, quick labour! We're loving settling in together, it's crazy how much we have forgotten already though! Grin

So sorry to hear about Nate @Geegrl19, that sounds rough! Hope it passes soon for him Flowers

THATbasicSNOWFLAKE · 13/04/2021 16:34

Yay @drumst1ck, congratulations Flowers

Dyra · 13/04/2021 17:10

Oh wow! Congratulations @drumst1ck! He didn't make you wait too long after your due date at least! How much did he weigh? Has he got a name yet? Are you home already? So many questions! So excited for you!
