Thanks all, i measure dcs feet at home with a clarks gauge and never have much trouble, occasionally if i am unsure i will order two sizes to try on.

@Spongeb0b have you tried h&m for kids clothes? Littlest dc is living in their jumper and jogger sets which are between £10 and £15 each, good quality and free delivery

Spongeb0b · 24/01/2021 11:57

@THATbasicSNOWFLAKE do you know I get loads for them from H&M when the shops are open but didn’t think to during lockdown - I’m a bit guilty of doing next & amazon due to quick deliveries but to be fair next has slower down lately - are H&M fairly quick? I absolutely love their little jumper & jogger sets I know exactly what you mean! Also really missing primark :( the middle one is growing ridiculously fast at the minute xx

THATbasicSNOWFLAKE · 24/01/2021 12:09

Usually 3-4 days i think for h&m, they also do lots of offers and member points etc

Dyra · 24/01/2021 13:51

I also had a big ole reply all typed out, but I fell asleep (it was 4 am), and it timed out.

@THATbasicSNOWFLAKE Pretty much how I found out yeah. 😅 I can't remember what the thread was about, but it was in the pregnancy forum, and you mentioned something about having or going to have your 12 week scan. Sorry to hear the SPD has returned. Hopefully it won't be too bad. Any gut feeling as to what this bean is?

Not expecting here. Though I swear I keep feeling movements and I'm getting fatter again. However, the negative tests indicate it's nothing but gas and lockdown. Plus the PCOS, implant, and still waiting on a first period since birth means would make it an absolute miracle. Hoping to convince DH to start TTC soon though. The plan was to start in June, but my biological clock alarm keeps going off...

@Spongeb0b Pretty much the same here. Cough since October, noisy breathing, multiple negative Covid tests. No antibiotics though since the GP said all her noisy breathing is coming from upper respiratory tract. Said she could maybe hear a mild wheeze, so did prescribe an inhaler to be used as needed. Fortunately Alice doesn't struggle breathing. It's just noisy. I should probably make another appointment though. See if they can confirm asthma and sort out a treatment regimen.

Really sorry to hear about the teething issues the babies are having. We seem to be having a respite from teething atm. First molar came through last week, but all the canines and one lateral incisor (starting to poke through) are still to go. Thank goodness for lidocaine gel since we're back to spitting out Calpol/Nurofen again.

Littlehouseinthebigcity · 31/01/2021 08:11

Ah I'm so glad to have found you all! This chat disappeared off my active chats and I didn't realise so I just assumed no one was talking 😩 Glad to see you are though!
And @Dyra so glad to hear I'm not the only one with phantom baby movements. I'm on the pill so really shouldn't be pregnant and have had so many negative tests but still just don't feel right!! Like you say, probably wind and lockdown weight gain 😂
Catherine is finally standing which is exciting. Hopefully she'll be walking before her second birthday at this rate!!! Bless her. She's also still not sleeping through the night, I'm sort of hoping that once she's walking she'll tire herself out! She's so stubborn. I tried to night wean her but after an hour of on and off crying I caved and fed her, she's still in with us and I needed the sleep!!
Congratulations @THATbasicSNOWFLAKE and @drumst1ck exciting that we have some new babies on the way. Though I definitely still think of C as my baby (though was pregnant with her by the time DD1 was her age!)

THATbasicSNOWFLAKE · 31/01/2021 08:58

Gosh i can't imagine our little one not walking he's been going since 9/10 months! So funny how different they all are isn't it!

Thanks for the congratulations, i suspect this is another boy! Find out in 2 weeks!

yellowspot · 31/01/2021 20:07

It's mad how babies/ toddlers do things at such different times. E is running around constantly and follows instructions amazingly, but doesn't say a word (though I am starting to get worried about it) and not sleeping through!

Db on a name change btw

Dyra · 31/01/2021 21:55

Ha ha! @Littlehouseinthebigcity Likewise! Phantom movements are so weird. Last night I dreamt I felt a big roll. Woke me up. Took a panicked test just to be absolutely sure. Still negative. Phew.... Just the old subconscious dropping a not so subtle hint. Good job Catherine on the standing!

@yellowspot So true! And how they're so different personality wise as well. I hope E stops worrying you soon. The understanding and following instructions is really good!

I taught Alice to say "uh-oh" if something falls on the floor. It was sweet and funny for a few hours. Then it back fired spectacularly when the throwing things on purpose began...

Littlehouseinthebigcity · 01/02/2021 08:18

@yellowspot Try not to worry! They all develop so differently. I was a bit stressed at one point that C would never move! But then she started to bum shuffle and now she stands, I'm sure she'll walk eventually. She's just doing it all in her own time frame, not the health visitors! I expect E will be the same with speech :)

Littlehouseinthebigcity · 01/02/2021 08:19

Also, the following instructions is a fantastic sign that hearing and cognitive development are both fine. Which should be very reassuring!

THATbasicSNOWFLAKE · 06/02/2021 08:30

@yellowspot they all do things in their own time! The fact she understands is great, shows no issues with hearing etc

yellowspot · 07/02/2021 20:44

Thank you all for the reassurance! It's honestly made me feel much better.

We've ditched the dummy during the day this week and his babbling and consonant sounds have increased ten fold so has saying mama! I think maybe he has been able to make the sounds/ say mama but we've been to lax with the dummy

Dyra · 09/02/2021 22:55

It's amazing how quickly things change. I wouldn't kick yourself over the dummy. Whatever keeps the peace (and us sane!) is necessary. Especially so in these... interesting times...

Alice decided "daddy" was the way to go for her first word. Mama/mummy is not in her vocabulary yet. She loves to grab your hands and go "woa woa woa (row row row)". Thank goodness there's variants to Row Row Row Your Boat otherwise it would have waned quickly. Really loving this age.

THATbasicSNOWFLAKE · 10/02/2021 08:38

@yellowspot that is lovely!

20 week scan next week!

Geegrl19 · 10/02/2021 10:27

Anyone else's little one struggling with teeth? Poor Nate is a hot mess at the moment. Bulging gums everywhere and a massive molar broken through the top gum, they're so huge. Only a few more to go... Sigh. Even put him off his food which is very out of character!

drumst1ck · 10/02/2021 13:14

Insciors here and they are taking SO long to come through which isn't like her. She's also taken to trying to bite a chunk out of me every so often which is great...

Exciting about your scan @THATbasicSNOWFLAKE hope all goes well! 32 weeks here and feeling it. Pregnancy insomnia has been kicking in a bit, DH said I was whimpering in my sleep last night, must have been having some weird dreams!

drumst1ck · 10/02/2021 13:17

Sorry that should be canines not insciors! The sharp pointy ones 😂

yellowspot · 10/02/2021 13:22

@dyra ah that sounds sweet! I wasn't aware of all the variations until my nephew gave me a much needed lesson!

Hope your scan goes well
@THATbasicSNOWFLAKE . Finding out if it's a boy or a girl?

@Geegrl19 . We've got the pointy fangs coming here, all four at once. They've all cut now so I'm hoping only another week discomfort for him. After these ones I think it's still another 4 to go?

@drumst1ck 32 weeks already! How are you feeling?

We've hit the bullet and decided to try for number two.

drumst1ck · 10/02/2021 16:44

@yellowspot oh exciting! I'm feeling okay thank you, becoming a bit more of a hermit as I'm terrified of catching covid near birth and DH not being able to be around!

THATbasicSNOWFLAKE · 10/02/2021 17:49

@drumst1ck someone i know tested positive for Covid while in labour, they didnt test her birthing partner and just carried on as normal!

@yellowspot yes definitley finding out!

drumst1ck · 10/02/2021 19:24

@THATbasicSNOWFLAKE oh wow! Well that's good to know! Tbh we had it back in October so hoping we would still have a bit of immunity. But I love a good overthink 😂

Exciting that you'll know soon! How many of each have you got already?

Dyra · 10/02/2021 20:38

Holy moly @drumst1ck! That's come around quick! What does your DD think of it all? Apart from the biting that is. Hoping the insomnia and vivid dreams let up so you can get some decent sleep before number 2 arrives.

Again, that's come around quick @THATbasicSNOWFLAKE! Pretty much halfway already! What do your other DC think you're having?

@yellowspot That's rough with all 4 canines at once. Poor E. Hopefully he (and you!) will have a nice long break from teething after this set are through. Good luck with the TTC! DH and I will also be taking the plunge soon. Implant comes out next Tuesday. It occurred to me after I booked it in, that we've got two weddings to go to later this year. The first (late Oct) should be fine, but the second (mid Dec) might be a bit iffy should a miracle happen and I fall quickly. I think my future sister in law might not ever forgive me if I went into labour at her wedding.

@Geegrl19 Poor Nate. Poor you! It's so unfair that teething causes them so much pain when they're too little to understand what's going on. Alice is also off her food and being very picky about what she does eat. It's likely she's teething, but not inconsolable about it atm. From what I can see, Alice's last incisor is (finally) coming through, and it looks like both her first molars on the right are on the move.

THATbasicSNOWFLAKE · 10/02/2021 20:44

We have 1DD and 4DS ..... so the pressure is on there 😐

drumst1ck · 10/02/2021 22:07

@Dyra honestly I'm not sure how much she grasps at the moment. She loves kissing the bump and has her 'baby' doll that we have been trying to get her used to holding and 'being gentle' but then she goes and kisses DH's tummy as well which definitely doesn't have a baby inside Grin
With sleep I'm just accepting that it's preparing me for newborn again. Hoping number 2 won't be quite as velcro baby as DD was but we'll see!

@THATbasicSNOWFLAKE I grew up with all brothers and actually loved it, they were great to me! Big age difference though between us so that might have been a factor.

Good luck to all those TTC. Feels so strange to have lots of us moving onto the next. The days go so slowly but the months are going very quickly!

THATbasicSNOWFLAKE · 11/02/2021 09:01

@drumst1ck unfortunatley our DD has several friends with sister and they are all close in age and she sees the appeal of this (shes only 7 so isn't aware these girls will be pulling each others hair out in a few years!)

This is definitley our last baby though so what will be will be!
