yuk, poor babyboo!

Charlie999 · 07/09/2007 17:06

Blimey...though everyone was really quiet today...then found new thread...thicko

taken me ages to catch up....go for it Bumper...job wise...and it may be worrying re thyroid, but I'm glad you've had it done...you've been saying for ages you would ...at least it can be monitored now

Been to Ikea today and chose a new kitchen ...I can't wait!!

Charlie999 · 07/09/2007 17:07

Oh definately agree about dishwasher Daisy - I couldn't manage withour mine ...and fingers crossed DDs eye is sorted

daisyandbabybootoo · 07/09/2007 17:10

her eye has been weepy and intermittently infected since she was born, i felt so awful for her as i've had to bathe it every morning cos it's been glued shut.

I'm a complete jellyhead! We went out shopping, a 45 min bus ride away. And I left the bag carefully packed with nappies, a nippa, a wrap and wipes of the dining table! Refused to buy a huge pack of disposables that we won't use (we have one pack at home for emergencies) so she is currently wearing a swim nappy as I felt we would probably use those in the long run.

She grissled all afternoon though, especially in the shops, so not much shopping done in the end. Had a walk along the canal though and introduced her to swans and ducks.

daisyandbabybootoo · 07/09/2007 17:55

LOL Jamantha....boots/asda/tesco/sainsbury etc usually either have a stock of nappies in their changing room, or have them at customer services if you're ever caught short again!

Jamantha · 07/09/2007 17:59

Well we bought the swim nappies in boots and i'd asked the woman there about small packs of nappies, explaining what i'd done and she didn't offer. ah well, we will need smim nappies at some point.

annobal · 07/09/2007 18:06

Daisy, i'm going to have to try that. his eye is also looking much bettr today though.

loonylovegood · 07/09/2007 18:10

Ahhhh...Pinot Grigio!!

annobal · 07/09/2007 18:11

Jamantha · 07/09/2007 18:14

DD keeps smacking herself in the face. She doesn't seem bothered by it, but i keep flinching.

daisyandbabybootoo · 07/09/2007 18:18

DS has my brand new oven gloves on his feet (and they're the kind that have a pocket either end) pretending that they are "water shoes" and shuffling around the house. I don't have the energy to wrestle them off him, LOL.

I had to go to the shop to get me some!

Whilst at the shop I HAD to buy the new in the night garden magazine for £1.99!! What a fucking rip off! They put a shitty puppet on the front to make your child scream for it and charge you £2!

Daisy, hope dd's eye is better. One of Alice's little friends had a tear duct operation when he was about 1 and it was a very simple op. He was at toddler group the next day! Hope it doesn't have to be operated on though.

Ds has found his thumb! I didn't really want him to. Dummies can be taken away, but thumbs can't. My sister is 24 and still sucks her thumb (and has a bloody great big gap between her front teeth because of it!).

loonylovegood · 07/09/2007 18:22

J, my ds punches himself in the face and scratches his nose! He always has little nicks on his face!

Am I a bad person for sitting in the front room in leggings and a bra drinking wine?

loonylovegood · 07/09/2007 18:22

We do have blinds btw!

daisyandbabybootoo · 07/09/2007 18:25

DD is favouring her middle finger at the moment, but she only sucks on it when she is awake.

When I was feeding DD earlier, DS went into the fridge and ate some cold pizza (with BBQ sauce, ffs) which had been in the fridge since Monday . I hope his tummy is OK

I hope you didn't go to the shop like that, LOL

I always feel like a bad mother if i go to the offie with the dcs in tow.

when i was home last my mum asked me to get her a bottle of whisky from the shop. i had my DNs and DD with me and bought a litre of whisky and sweets and magazines for the kids. You could see the checkout lady sneering at me, and i must admit it did look pretty bad!

Have you seen this thread

trendaverter · 07/09/2007 18:32

LOL Holly

I was hot last night and took off my bra and shirt before I remembered that we are redecorating and had no curtains, doh!!

Daisy I bet you looked a picture at the offy with your LO's in tow ;-)

trendaverter · 07/09/2007 18:43

Have put new pics of DS on facebook

Don't they grow so quick....am amazed

loonylovegood · 07/09/2007 18:52

Bumper, I saw that thread earlier. It's really sad. I often think about that happening because of dp's family history (his mum died at 33 because of a brain aneurysm and 3 of his aunts have had operations to repair them). It is really scary.

Dp best get home soon otherwise I'm gonna drink this whole bottle and end up pissed!!

trendaverter · 07/09/2007 18:52

Just read that thread, how awful
I would be beside myself

loonylovegood · 07/09/2007 18:54

Does anyone else think this mccann thing is slightly odd?

trendaverter · 07/09/2007 18:55

YES

But I don't talk about it for risk of being flamed
