whats that?

trendaverter · 07/09/2007 18:58

the mccann thing

loonylovegood · 07/09/2007 18:58

Well, we can talk about it on here, no-one is going to flame us!!

Surely the police must have some sort of evidence against the mum to hold her for so long? It's really quite disturbing.

daisyandbabybootoo · 07/09/2007 18:59

i saw the thread from M2T&F on tuesday...very sad indeed. i was waiting to ask dh if i could use his paypal account, but it looks like LL is having problems with paypal.

If anyone wants any crocs (not that many of you would) I've just had an email from sweetfeet.co.uk for 20% off everything with code SEPT07.

trendaverter · 07/09/2007 19:02

ok well here is my opinion... and I talk too much and regularly offend people so I am really sorry in advance....

But I have suspected the parents since day 1, if I lost my LO I would not be thinking of media, or Popes or websites, I would be wailing and screaming and grieving, I would not be putting little green ribbons in my hair and strolling on the beach.
I would be hoarse from screaming and crying, not giving interviews.

But hey that's me.

Theories:
The parents sedated the kids so they could go out, and accidentally overdosed and killed her.

Madeleine caught Kate and the other male suspect in a clinch.... and well something.

daisyandbabybootoo · 07/09/2007 19:04

i said to dh all along that there was somthing a little bit fishy about it all...

... the phrase "methinks they doth protest too much springs to mind"

no doubt it will all come out in the wash.

I've not posted on any if the threads that have been on here about it....too scary.

daisyandbabybootoo · 07/09/2007 19:07

ooops...inverted commas in the wrong place, but you get the gist of it.

TA.....I was thinking more of a tragic accident, but then they lied about it and it has all snowballed and they got themselves on a roller coaster that they just couldn't stop.

I know grief manifests itself in strange ways, but they never seemed particularly grief stricken IMHO.

OP posts:
loonylovegood · 07/09/2007 19:10

I always thought they were a little odd. Strolling around with cameras on them ALL the time. And now her parents are giving interviews to ITV? Maybe they are just strange people.

loonylovegood · 07/09/2007 19:11

And also WTF were they thinking of leaving their children in a strange apartment on their own? I would never do that in a million years.

trendaverter · 07/09/2007 19:13

Daisy yes that's possible too, hadn't considered that.

I agree, I never posted, I read some of the threads but I don't open my gob for fear of repurcussions I cannot handle!!
(Maybe I am deveolping some restraint/tact in my old age).
But hey we are all friends here!

What really got to me though was that hundreds of kids go missing every year, where were their celeb announcements? Their front page news?

It's awful of course but it's just a bit... fishy!!

loonylovegood · 07/09/2007 19:14

Oops, third glass of wine! Best go easy, don't want to end up on the bathroom floor again!

trendaverter · 07/09/2007 19:15

Holly exactly
BBC News said that from day one they INVITED the paps to follow them. It's almost orchestrated.

foxybrown · 07/09/2007 19:15

Hmm I just don't know

trendaverter · 07/09/2007 19:16

3rd! You are hardcore! Since PG, 1 glass and I'm anyones. Pre PG I was able to knock back 20 shots at the vodka bar and still be coherent. VERY hungover, but coherent

foxybrown · 07/09/2007 19:18

I have 2.5 WW points left for today .. wine or chocolate pudding? Hmm, thats a tricky one.

trendaverter · 07/09/2007 19:18

Pudding!

loonylovegood · 07/09/2007 19:19

ROLF foxy hope you don't hurt yourself!

A few years ago I would have just been starting work. Tight jeans and cowboy shirt tied up just under my bra to show off my washboard stomach! Then staff drinks and get home just as the sun came up! Those were the days! Glad I'm where I am now though!

loonylovegood · 07/09/2007 19:19

WINE!!!

loonylovegood · 07/09/2007 19:20

How about half a glass of wine and half a pudding?

foxybrown · 07/09/2007 19:23

How about saying 'fuck it' and having both? oooooohhhh, willpower come back......

Me too Holly, wouldn't go back for those days for anything!

trendaverter · 07/09/2007 19:23

I also like where I am now....but what I would give to have the figure I had at 21 again!! Just wish I had appreciated it more at the time!
My bikini days are well and truly over!

loonylovegood · 07/09/2007 19:25

I was looking at the photos from when I went to jamaica with a friend just before I moved in with dp. I was prancing around in a bikini tied together with string! I thought I was really fat! How I wish I'd have appreciated my body more!

trendaverter · 07/09/2007 19:29

oh god I am not yet ready to face 'photos from the past'

I might cry

trendaverter · 07/09/2007 19:34

I have the hump

I want to play real nappies again but dh won't let me
