Sorry for all those with stroppy children tonight, Thankfully (not wanting to tempt fate) mine has been fine apart from getting upset that I took a phone call from my Dad midway through her massage. I think she probably felt ignored (even thought DH brought the phone to me so she wasn't actually left, just the close attention stopped for a moment) and maybe chilly. A bath and feed sorted her out thankfully.

Question is will she sleep through to 5am for the 3rd night in a row? Last nights she slept 8-5 then 5.30-7.15. When I went in at 7.15 she was chattering away to the animals on her mobile (she LOVES her mobile), sounding really happy and cute.

daisyandbabybootoo · 13/09/2007 20:46

Is no-one around?

Just put DD to bed. After her super nap this afternoon she was side awake and full of giggles, so I've just put her down and thankfully she has drifted off.

There must be something in the atmosphere tonight.

I'm here Daisy. We're watching Silent Witness from Tuesday night. This one is much better I think.

DS3 is still wide awake, sitting in his chair and playing with his dangly things.

trendaverter · 13/09/2007 20:51

Holly know what you mean, I was in africa a couple of years ago and one of the women I was with was killed by a hippo
We were all really stunned... you just don't expect it. I really felt for her family

Oh, evening all. I am in Essex. Am EXHAUSTED.
My own fault.

daisyandbabybootoo · 13/09/2007 20:51

LOL Annobal, we try to discourage that sort of behaviour in this house

I spoke too soon, DD is still gurgling!

Might be a dream

DS3 is still wide awake - I knew he had to wake up some time I guess - he has been asleep pretty much for 3 days now!!!

Hi TA! A hippo???

annobal · 13/09/2007 21:07

Am going to have to try and get ds to sleep so think I'd better go. Night all

daisyandbabybootoo · 13/09/2007 21:11

Does anyone want to scrab?...it seems to be playing this evening

OP posts:
foxybrown · 13/09/2007 21:15

N'nite Annobal.

Evening all. DD2 been awake all day, dropped off about an hour ago - she surely is out for the night now?

Had a day off diet today. Just had fish and chips, followed by Lavazza Ice Cream and chocolate pudding (which was low fat BTW). Resisted the temptation to stick a Curly Wurly in it as I did with DPs!

Feeling like a rite fat bastard now [porky emoticon]

daisyandbabybootoo · 13/09/2007 21:19

I've not eaten anything bad, per se, but I had a mahoosive portion of pasta for tea. I think I'm still within my points....just. A gin and slim will no doubt put me over my allowance, but after the evening I had with DS, I need it!

I so want to have lost weight when I go back next week, but I just do not have willpower.

riabutterflew · 13/09/2007 21:23

ffs dh is watching another bollocky film.

as soon as baggins goes to sleep i'm off for a long very hot bath (did anyone watch Lee Evans last night? the bit about womens baths made me rofl) with a glass of wine and my WW mag.

ds1 back from judo in high spirits apparently he held down a yellow belt. bless him. he got the weekly good behaviour certificate for his class today - for enthusiasm about their topic - WWII.

am looking up dyslexia on the net - anyone got any experience?

trendaverter · 13/09/2007 21:26

Yeah Annobal, she was an aussie, all over the aussie news but didn't hear a word of it here.
It was dark, she came between a mother hippo and her baby.

foxybrown · 13/09/2007 21:27

I went 10.5 points over today! That really took some doing, and no alcohol was involved.

foxybrown · 13/09/2007 21:28

ahh, well done to your DS Ria!

daisyandbabybootoo · 13/09/2007 21:29

Foxy, I'm sure you could claw that back over the next few days.

When is your weigh in?

No advice about dyslexia, but I have mild number dyslexia....not a good trait in an Engineer, I can tell you!

HELLO

TALLULAHBELLE · 13/09/2007 21:31

Evening. Went to see Atonement this morning - parent & baby screening- was really good & DD behaved beautifully, was

daisyandbabybootoo · 13/09/2007 21:34

evening Derlor....Was it good...it's had rave reviews. It's one of my favourite Ian McEwen books, so don't want it to be ruined forever if the film is crap.

I had no idea cinemas did parent and baby screening. I must check out the local ones here.

Will you scrab, or are you off to feed DD2 soon?

OP posts:
riabutterflew · 13/09/2007 21:35

i can identify with number dyslexia, but i'm not an engineer so it doesn't matter. they claim to have tested the poor boy at school and say it's laziness, but i am not convinced.

i bet i could beat you at excess points foxy

i am stillbusy nosying at everyones albums on facebook. your staithes pics are fab daisy. might risk a visit myself one day.

am going to take a chance on a bath...

foxybrown · 13/09/2007 21:36

Apparently its better than the book - which is unusual.

I'd scrab, but I'm shit at it.

Hi Derlor Its so funny, but we don't taaaaaalk anymore!

Everytime I go to Facebook someone has tagged photos of me (pissed or worse) from 10 years ago! Some particularly bad ones have appeared tonight

riabutterflew · 13/09/2007 21:36

i will play scrabble later if anyone wants me - but i'm crap!

foxybrown · 13/09/2007 21:38

go on then, I'll show myself up on Scrab

derlor · 13/09/2007 21:40

yeah i'll scrab,
i left the orange phone shop in tears today!!!

foxybrown · 13/09/2007 21:40
