Morning

quiet on here this morning!

DD is asleep at the moment and might have to join her......zzzzzzzz

BadZelda · 13/09/2007 09:34

women.timesonline.co.uk/tol/life_and_style/women/families/article2441898.ece - interesting. We don't have any kind of baby monitor, and I average 8-9 hours sleep a night...hmmm I wonder if they have a point? (or I'm just v v v v lucky)

BadZelda · 13/09/2007 09:34

Morning Charlie! Hope you're well - not feeling too bad except I'm STILL waiting for delivery that I was expecting on monday!

loonylovegood · 13/09/2007 09:39

I don't have a monitor either Z. Ds is never far enough away from me to use one! He is always with me! I think co-sleeping gets me far more sleep than any other method.

Glad you are feeling better!

Charlie999 · 13/09/2007 09:43

Morning BZ - feeling better I hope today? Blardy delivery men!

Hi Holly!

I do have a monitor - perhaps I shouldn't use it...DD woke up whinging at 4.45 this morning....doesn't need feeding now till morning...just wanted her dummy.....and 3 more times till alarm went off at 6.15am AAARRRGGGHH

I'm knackered

BadZelda · 13/09/2007 09:43

True - DD2 does sleep in our room, and we only live in a 2 bedroom flat. In general I think she is a bit more settled because I don't run to her at the first whimper (in the daytime) because half the time I'm trying to deal with DD1.

Charlie999 · 13/09/2007 09:44

Bloody hell...she's been asleep for ages (lucky her!)....not very GF.....better go and wake her if I want any sleep tonight....

BadZelda · 13/09/2007 09:45

Poor Charlie. And if you're anything like me, you're constitutionally incapable of sleeping in the daytime? Can you try and catch up with a little nap? Maybe DD2 knows I turn into a psychotic witch if I haven't had enough sleep, so it's self-preservation on her part?

BadZelda · 13/09/2007 09:46

I don't rate that GF. I never wake DD2 if she's sleeping...though DD1 does ALL the time - to my great annoyance!

daisyandbabybootoo · 13/09/2007 09:46

BZ, I ordered some new nappies a month ago and I'm still waiting. She will have grown out of the wraps before I get them . Apparently it was sent out last Thursday, recorded delivery and I haven't got it yet, and recorded delivery items only let you track the item after it has been deliveredI...not a lot of use really!

Glad you're feeling a bit better this morning.

I'm pre-menstrual...I think. Been feeling like a bear with a sore head for nearly a week with that dragging feeling in my midriff and bloating

I feel like a day in bed, but that is so not going to happen.

morning
i've got toothache today

daisyandbabybootoo · 13/09/2007 09:53

I've got a monitor for use in the evening after she's in bed as our house is really soundproof and I just can't hear her without it. I usually have it on my bedside table (madness as she is only next door), but I never hear her in the night. I've even forgotten to switch it on a few times and we survive the night just fine!

loonylovegood · 13/09/2007 09:53

Bah derlor!! Toothache is shit! At least you can go to the dentist for free!

Dasiy that is rubbish! I hate it when you order something really exciting and it takes an age to arrive.

Off to toddler group then town (if I can face it!) speak later xx

derlor · 13/09/2007 09:56

not read back so might be getting the wrong end of the stick but we don't use a monitor and DD sleeps in her own room so i ONLY go to her through te night when she is properly crying, she sleeps all night though.....i think!!!!!

BadZelda · 13/09/2007 09:56

Yeah - what's that about with the nappies Daisy? I have only been waiting 10 days...but a bit annoying when I paid a bit extra for 1-2 day delivery...

BadZelda · 13/09/2007 09:57

At the moment I've only got 1 wrap, so it goes till it I get a nappy leak, then gets washed. Have still saved loads on disposables already though, so can't wait for the rest of the wraps to arrive.

BadZelda · 13/09/2007 09:58

What kind of tooth-ache Derlor? Have you got any clove oil? Might provide relief till you can get to the dentist?

Charlie999 · 13/09/2007 09:59

Right that's it - no monitor tonight - then I won't hear the whinging.

Daisy - can you claim the money back. If they sent it recorded, they can put in a claim after 15 days.

daisyandbabybootoo · 13/09/2007 10:10

It's taken so long cos I paid using an e-cheque by mistake which took nearly two weeks to clear. I got an e-mail saying it was being dispatched last Thursday, and still nothing. I'd ordered some tots wraps, but I think they go up to 20lbs so should be ok for a bit. It's the bloody nappy bucket I'm desperate for...at the minute I've got a lidless bucket and it whiffs a bit!

I phoned yesterday and she says she's having all sorts of problems with royal mail. I'll give it till tomorrow and then will start to demand a refund!

Cloth addicts, check this out

right so much for a quick chat on here as soon as i logged on DD started to shout for milk then pooed everywhere!!!! have to go out now so no time to chat after all, back tonight, have a good day x

BadZelda · 13/09/2007 11:15

Oh daisy - I just went down and bought a smallish pedal bin with a lift out bucket. 12 quid in the market. Works wickedly so far as the bucket part tips easily into the machine - so no spills and you don't have to touch the nappies.

daisyandbabybootoo · 13/09/2007 11:21

now why didn't i think of that???

OP posts:
BadZelda · 13/09/2007 11:22

Actually I was just on the point of haggling and getting it for a tenner, when DH whipped out the two quid. I do love a good haggle ;)

daisyandbabybootoo · 13/09/2007 11:31

i'm rubbish at haggling...it's just so not part of our culture...stiff british upper lip and all that.

Saying that though, I can haggle with dh over sexual favours any day of the week, no problem
