Poor you Sputnik, sounds like a tough day. Hope you get a good night's sleep tonight

loonylovegood · 13/09/2007 17:42

Daisy, I so know how you feel! I am so desperate for RL friends I'll talk to anyone these days! I have been going to the stay and play down the road for ages and usually it's just us and a couple of other families. The past few weeks there has been a group of new ladies with their new babies and I so want to be their friend! I spoke to some of them last week, but this week they completely ignored me! Can they not see that I just want some friends?! We went to town afterwards and had lunch in John Lewis. There were so many groups of ladies and children, I was there on my own. I was so jealous and lonely!

loonylovegood · 13/09/2007 17:43

Good idea putting dd to bed early sputnik! Sounds like a very good idea!

Jamantha · 13/09/2007 17:43

me too Holly!

annobal · 13/09/2007 17:51

Sputnik, we had the same and ds1&2 are both in bed. omg, it is a lovely feeling, even if they will beup at 5!

daisyandbabybootoo · 13/09/2007 17:56

Ow Sputnik, they are just unbearable when they are like that aren't they.

I've just put DS up to bed too. He was fine when he came home from school, but then said that he didn't want tea. I made him come to the table. He told me he wasn't eating that filth , so I sent him to the step and finished my meal. I tried to talk to him and he just stood there and screamed at me that i was nasty and evil and he hated me and my stupid cooking and he wasn't eating it. I told him to go to bed or I would carry him up and he screamed at me some more saying you can't you're not strong enough (he's right), so I grabbed his wrist and had to drag him upstairs. Next he wouldn't get undressed so I had to do it and he was screaming ang trying to bite me, then took my hand and tried to make me punch myself and he was laughing, but in a manic way not a funny way and has refused to put his pjs on. So, I've left him up there sitting on the floor in the scud. I managed to stay calm throughout though and didn't shout at him

And......breathe.

Is it a full moon or something? Have all the DCs (and I use the D very lightly indeed this evening) gone loopy?

DD is, as ever, a real sweetheart who has been awake all day but sleeping now. I better wake her up or I won't get her ijn bed at all.

loonylovegood · 13/09/2007 17:59

Well done for not shouting daisy!

annobal · 13/09/2007 18:05

Well done Daisy.

I went through something similar with DS1 on the way home then DS2 cried (in a screaming way) all through supper and would only eat sitting on my lap with me feeding them. They were as good as gold while reading them a story and I haven't heard from them since I turned out the light and closed the door.

Then as if on cue DS3 woke up - only he's sweet and smells nice

So totally with you all on the full moon!

daisyandbabybootoo · 13/09/2007 18:07

It was laughable actually, and I was trying really hard to keep a straight face.

I feel for you at the mother and baby things holly. Since suffering from PND I hate social gatherings with a vengeance and get really stressed out about having to go (which is why I'm proud I made it to WW yesterday) and then find it difficult to break the ice with people.

Next week, I will get out to bumps and babes, if it kills me.

FUCKING HELL!! The first item on the 6 o'clock news is 10 mins up the road from me!! I'm nearly famous!

annobal · 13/09/2007 18:15

I'm with you on the mother and baby things / school gates stuff. It is such a small community around here and I always feel like I have to make such an effort. Some days I can't be bothered and end up feeling really lonely. And I've lived here for 5 years!

annobal · 13/09/2007 18:15

What's the item Holly?

loonylovegood · 13/09/2007 18:18

Police shot dead some robbers! It was in Chandlers Ford, which is a really nice area! Apparently it was a bloodbath! Scary shit!

riabutterflew · 13/09/2007 18:37

definately a full moon. luckily for ds2 he has calmed down from the screaming thing he was 20 mins ago so he can have a little more tv before bed. ds1 is just out to judo with dh. ds3 is just lovely.

I HATE HATE HATE the school gate/toddler group thing. i aren't very good at rl people anyway but I just don't fit in. I wouldn't mind but i've lived here all my life, i shouldn't feel like an outsider.

guess what - i finally finished the ironing. am hoping ds3 will stay asleep a few minutes now so i can catch up on some other stuff. dh has invited my parents for tea tomorrow - why does he never assess the mess first

riabutterflew · 13/09/2007 18:39

its very scary that sort of thing holly. a few years ago a woman was murdered in a country lane here, about 5 mins from our farm. it's so quiet here you just don't expect it

annobal · 13/09/2007 18:44

God, Holly! It seems it is happening everywhere! I've heard of 4 muggings in the last couple of weeks.

In one, a friend of mine's husband was held with a knife to his neck for 20 mins while his friends went to use his credit cards. He escaped but got stabbed in the process. This is meant to be a nice area as well

loonylovegood · 13/09/2007 18:47

It's frightening when these things happen to people you know. Does anyone remember Hannah Foster? She was a 17 yo girl murdered in southampton a few years ago. I knew her...really scary. She was a lovely girl .

annobal · 13/09/2007 18:52

Holly, that's awful!

daisyandbabybootoo · 13/09/2007 19:12

DD has just done her third poo of the day, and is lying there grinning about it. It's cos she knows I have all these new nappies and wraps to ruin, LOL

I'm trying a fleece wrap tonight....wish me luck!

loonylovegood · 13/09/2007 19:14

I hate it when ds poos in new nappies! It makes me !

annobal · 13/09/2007 19:15

Well done Holly! I've just had chocolate (dark so good for iron levels)

loonylovegood · 13/09/2007 19:25

I also went to John Lewis cafe (the place of all nice cakes) and had lentil soup and appletiser and no cake or hot chocolate!
