Hi All!

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
samsmam · 18/10/2007 13:54

Thanks EP but I am off to the babyshow tomorrow. We booked our tickets a few months back typical isn't it. How about putting the ad on any other antenatal thread? Thanks for thinking of me though.

Just back from my scan- the private one that I said I wasn't having and then changed my mind again!!
Everything is looking good and I am having a........ GIRL. In RL people think that I didn't find out as DP doesn't want to know and it saves all the keep asking. If people ask if I know I shall say- NO! Simple.

EffiePerine · 18/10/2007 14:59

Congratulations Samsmam! Are you happy about it?

I'll put out a general message - wanted to give you guys first dibs
First time I've won a comp and it's for something I can't go to!

samsmam · 18/10/2007 15:32

Yeah I am happy- I wanted another pink one but now I am thinking will I want a third to have a boy!?!
I got a DVD of the whole scan! They should do that on the NHS!

I've put on so much weight in this pregnancy already. It is getting me down.

totallyfloaty35 · 18/10/2007 18:24

samsmum,i have 3 girls, was convinced i was having a boy during my 3rd pg til i had the scan...but have come to the conclusion that me and dh can only make girls so no point trying for a boy as will end up with dozen girls

gingeme · 18/10/2007 20:15

Congratulations samsam. Nice to know someone can do girls.
Got any names sorted yet? But then I suppose thats a one sided conversation as you know and dh doesnt.
Effie hows William doing?

samsmam · 18/10/2007 21:26

No names as yet- its difficult talking about pink and blue now but I have to for DP's sake!
I like Sophie and Georgia.
I have to stop talking about this little one to DP as I keep nearly slipping up- maybe I shouldn't have found out!

Has anyones LO's gone of food? I'm guessing (more experienced mummies) that it is teeth? It is quite worrying.

Samantha has her one year review at clinic on monday- wonder what that will involve

Off to earls court for the babyshow in the morning so I'll be off to bed now.

babyducky · 19/10/2007 11:28

happy birthday 2 anyone i've missed!

congrats samsmam! bet thats gonna be hard keeping it a secret from your dp! I couldn't do it! we found out what we were having with kai, but dps mum didnt want to know so we had 2 keep it a secret from her, so many times i nearly let it out!
good luck!
love the name sophie btw!

hope everyone else is ok, nothings been happening here really, kai has been walking loads, not quite doing it properly yet though! Gettin really excited about his birthday, still another 2 weeks to go!

x

babyducky · 19/10/2007 11:30

just checked the list,
happy birthday fergus!!!!!

gingeme · 19/10/2007 12:43

Yes it is difficult to keep it a secret. Were not telling family that this one is another boy and its so hard not to slip up.
Yes samsam Edward seems to be off eating at the moment though by a year old there eating does tend to slow down a bit anyway and this is when they realy start to decide what they like and dont like too.
Know what you mean about getting excited about birthdays. Having a little do for lo on Sunday and cant wait to get his cake. ds3 told everyone at his nursery it was his little brothers birthday and hes going to have a party. I think hes looking forward to it too
Happy Birthday Fergus xxxx

wuzzlefraggle · 19/10/2007 16:41

HAPPY BIRTHDAY FERGUS!!

EffiePerine · 20/10/2007 19:31

G;ad we're not alone on the food - W is getting v fussy about what he will eat and he's never been that good an eater. He's doing really well, toddling around all over the place and pretty cheerful most of the time. we're starting to get the odd screaming fir when he's thwarted though! Am bracing myself for real tantrums next year...

Gemzooks · 21/10/2007 15:19

hi ladies, Gemmitygem popping in again, about to move to the Netherlands next Sunday, so it's chaotic here with packing. been 4 years in Kazakhstan and definitely time to get out! glad to hear your news and that gingeme and samsmam little beans are doing fine. I just had a shock, got a BFP! Very faint line though (did three tests and all came out positive), worried in case a faint line is not a good sign, because with DS it was totally clear at 26 days into the cycle...

anyway, will scroll down and try and catch up a bit with your news...

princessllama · 21/10/2007 18:25

wow gemmity! marthahm here, congratulations. i only had a faint line with this pg for ages and ages, kept doing more tests and went next door to neighbour to get her to confirm! last time mine was v obvious positve but that was prob as we were already 6 weeks. hope the move goes well.
lo isn't eating properly either, v tedious as everything goes on the floor and with the expanding tummy i really don't feel like bending down to clear up.
really looking forward to her birthday although dh thinks i'm mad for getting so excited. have ordered 8 pink helium balloons for her party for her and her friends.

EeyoreIsFab · 21/10/2007 19:58

Happy (very) belated birthday to Fergus and any other LOs I've missed!

We had a lovely day on DSs birthday and also had a party yesterday which went well.

My Dad's op is tomorrow. I can't think much past that at the moment. It's meant to take about 6 hours, so I think we're in for a very long day.

DS really took off with walking on his birthday and instead of crawling if he falls down after a few steps, will try really hard to keep on his feet. Oh, it's so exciting!

Just looked down at some previous threads & saw info about milk feeds - just what I was going to ask about! Have started to mix formula & cows milk, but still giving 3 feeds a day & from a bottle. Must convert to a cup...

gingeme · 21/10/2007 20:56

Wow congratulations on the move and pregnancy gemitty brilliant news[smile
Eeyor its fab when they realy find there feet isnt it?
We had a 'do' for Edwards birthday this afternoon. Had a lovely time. Will put pics on when I get time.

EffiePerine · 22/10/2007 10:17

Hope you test goes OK Gingeme

And congratulations GemmityGem!

Rumpel · 22/10/2007 13:09

Hi All,

Have been away at my parents since last Tuesday - couldn't get on the internet so Happy Belated Birthdays to all those I missed.

Congrats Gemmitygem.

Hmm - well I think I am having a micarriage . Was absolutely knackered at parent's house and very sore boobs, lower back, achey vein etc all those signs I get. Drove home last night and started bleeding. Defo not my period as I am regular as clockwork and my boobs are still really tender. Am feeling washed out and sad but on the positive side - at least we know we can conceive - that was first try!

Amber had a fab time on the farm and adored the animals. She was in amongst the chickens and sheep and even patted the huge big Textstil ram I will put some photos on when I get a mo' to let you all see.

I was having to share a room with her though and have had about 7 hours sleep the last week - she was so excited to be home last night she wanted to play form 2am -4.30am. Agg!

Well need to go as loads of housey stuff to do - DH has been home alone a week so you can imagine what the house is like.

EYEORE - hope your Daddy's op went well. Big hugsxxx

OP posts:
EffiePerine · 22/10/2007 13:17

So sorry to hear that Rumpel . Take care of yourself and if the bleeding gets severe, go and see your GP/A&E. Doesn't matter that it's an early mc, you still need time and space to recover.

gingeme · 22/10/2007 16:57

Had my horrid glucose test this morning. Theyll let me know within the week my results.
Rumple dont do too much youll wear yourself out. I would make an appt with your gp as soon as you can. So sorry
Took lo to Toys R Us to get him a presant for Wednesday. Got him a seal see saw because he just loves see saws and a truck and train which you put balls down and they chug along. Dont think Ill be wrapping the see saw though

babyducky · 22/10/2007 18:26

sorry to hear that rumpel, take care, xxx

princessllama · 22/10/2007 18:43

eeyore hope your dad came through ok.
rumpel really sorry to hear and as gingeme and effie said make sure you rest up -sod the house work. and go to your dr if it gets worse.
looking forward to the pics gingeme.
getting sharp pains in my side occasionally when pick lo up. think it must be straining the muscle because i don't think the baby can kick that hard yet. will try and not do so much dancing with lo in my arms! desperate times call for desperate measures though, and sometimes bring back my bonnie to me can stop the tantrum.
had great fun choosing clothes for lo with mum, especially as she was buying them as present for lo. gap has really cool stripey pink and raspberry tights. we also bought her a sparkly pink corduoroy mini skirt, unfortunately when we tried it on her at home she looks a bit manly in it because her legs are so fat, but that could have been as she was wearing little socks and nobody looks good in socks and miniskirt.
are we going to meet up?

gingeme · 22/10/2007 19:47

No princessllama definately not a good look little socks and mini skirt
Funny you should mention a meet up I was talking to dh about it this afternoon. Would be nice to see how all our 'lo's' are doing and walking and erm talking.
Any suggestions? Before its November?

EeyoreIsFab · 23/10/2007 18:10

Rumple - big hugs to you too. Take care of yourself.

My Dad got through the op ok & seems to be recovering well. I feel rather helpless not being able to just pop to the hospital to see him though. Just waiting for news from my Mum to see what the docs think & next steps, but at least that's one hurdle over with.
