Happy Birthday William

Yesterday was a very busy day- Samantha had so many people come to visit. She got lots and lots of clothes too many for her to wear I think! She got a little train set, a little baby born, a drum and a xylophone and a big cube thing.
This!

Lots of other little toys and a pair of wellie boots, for her splashing in puddles!

It was a long day with constant people from 12-7pm. I am trying to make a montage of the day so will post when it is finished.

As for my pregnancy, my sciatica is horrible and I am realy tired other than that its ok.

Got my scan in 10 days- do I find out the flavour? Decisions, decisions........

gingeme · 08/10/2007 17:35

Oh William Happy Birthday little man. Can't believ I missed it XXXX for you.
Samsam Ive been getting real bad sciatica too down my right bum cheek. Ooh its very painfyl sometimes.
Had a very productive couple of days. We bought a new pc desk which is glass and chrome with no cupboard or shelves as our other one did and it was full of junk. So dh has had a mega clear out and loads of shredding and recycling going on
lo is on his feet properly now. He impressed a couple of ladies in Ikea this morning with his walking and clapping.
Have a goos rest of your birthday William.

kiansmum · 09/10/2007 11:31

Hi ladies,
Hope everyone's keeping well.

I can't believe our babies are one already, well nearly. Kai will be on Saturday and Chelsea is 4 weeks old already. Where does time go? Mind you i'll be 30 in December.(i still only feel about 18 tho!)

Babyducky-i'm glad Kai's christening went well. It'll soon be your wedding!

How are the pg ladies getting on?
I hope you're keeping well. Don't you find your pg seems to fly by as you've already got such a lo to look after. I did.

I've had to give up bf now as everytime i went to feed Chelsea Kai would pull out all the dvds and anything else he could get his hands on.(little monkey) It's very hard work having them so close together.

We had to take Kai to see a surgeon on friday as 1 of his testicles is undescended.
The surgeon is going to make an incision in his tummy and insert a camera to see if there is one there. If there is he'll bring it down, if not, he'll just have one.
I'm dreading him going into hospital tho. It won't be til january or february but it petrifies me thinking about it.(bless him!)
Has anyone else been through this?

Oh, Better go now as Chelsea's hungry. Take care all.
Luv Sarah xx

PS I've put some more photos on my profile of all of us.

gingeme · 09/10/2007 11:53

Good morning kiansmum. Sounds like your doing well.
Yes it is hard to believe. This past year has flown by and it has definately made my pregnancy go quicker too which is a good thing in my opinion.
Oh poor little fella. Hell still be able to father children with one testicle though. My ex brother in law has 3 lovely children
What a crappy day weather wise today.
Hope everyone else is well. xx

wuzzlefraggle · 09/10/2007 13:37

Samsmam - You now you want to find out!! lol

Ahh, the pics are lovely kiansmam That op sounds scary. Sorry that you all have to go through it. Better to get things fixed though xx I'm sorry I can't be of more help

Anna is flat out having a nap so i've been cleaning like mad and decided to sneak on here for a quick post. 3 weeks on thursday and she is 1...it's going so FAST!!

Hope you are all ok

EeyoreIsFab · 09/10/2007 18:47

HAPPY (belated) BIRTHDAY WILLIAM! - Sorry it's late & hope you all had a great day.

MMR jabs - DS will have them. I did ask about single jabs, but was told that unless we went to London or France it wouldn't be possible.

Wuzzle - thanks for asking about my dad - we found out he ha stomach cancer in the summer & it's been a bit of a roller coaster since. We thought he was going to be going in for an op tomorrow, but now on 22nd, so at least he'll be here for DSs birthday.

wuzzlefraggle · 10/10/2007 13:24

Eeyore, no need to thank It must be horrible to have to keep a brave face. I know I'd be a wreck if it was my dad.

Well, when is the next birthday??

samsmam · 10/10/2007 14:09

Samantha's First Birthday

Rumpel · 10/10/2007 15:00

Awwww! Samsmam - that is fab She is a good mix between the 2 of you isn't she? She looks like she was thoroughly spoiled!
How are you keeping these days?

Eyeore - total nightmare for you - my sympathies. Like Wuzz says it is really hard putting on a face, especially for men, when you are falling apart inside. You look back and wonder how you ever got through - we'll all be thinking of you though and if you need to let off some steam - just vent on here. (big hugs) What is his prognosis?

My HUGE, GARGANTUAN bed arrived 4 weeks early on Monday. I cannot tell you enough how amazing it is to actually be comfortable sharing a bed with DH after nealry 3 years of sleeping separately . I LOVE LOVE LOVE it Only problem is I don't want to get up now We tried it out last night (if you know what I mean) it will be getting well tested this week as we are TTC again.

Amber had her booster yesterday - she did that bright red, hold the breathe followed by HUGE cry thing but she was fine after 5 mins. Seems okay today but she is at nursery.

Well - hope all you ladies are well, must go as have studying to do - only 8 months left and I should have finished - yippee!

OP posts:
wuzzlefraggle · 10/10/2007 15:27

HAHA! breaking in the springs is it Rumpel??

AH, I hate that bright red, hold the breath then cry thing. Horrible. Is the jab you are on about the one they are due to have at 1 year?

gingeme · 10/10/2007 15:28

Oh Sam your daughter is sooooooooo cute. What a happy smiley girl.
We took lo to Clown Town today where he practice his walking.
Bought him and ds3 a costume for their two halloween partys theyve been invited to. Bought Edward a very appropriate devils outfit from Tesco.

wuzzlefraggle · 10/10/2007 15:31

Samsmam - that montage is lovely! one of Anna;s birthday presents that we bought her is that telephone, and one of the cuddly rockers, only Anna's is a green and purple zebra lol.

Hehe, I'm really looking forward to this now! It looks like you all had a lovely day

nicand2 · 11/10/2007 11:23

Hello all,

I haven't posted for months but was just lurking on MN as I've got my feet up (all down with a tummy bug at mo)

I can't believe nearly a year has flown by already, My LO, Toby is growing so fast, not quite walking yet but very adept with the baby walker. He eats really well and has weaned himself onto 'normal' and turns his nose up at heinz baby food (if only DS1 would do this!)

It has been a tough year as DS1 was diagnosed with autism in January and that has pretty much taken over the year but we have settled down a bit more now, DS1 is doing really well and they are really good brothers which melts my heart.

Congrats to all the pg ladies, I would still love a third but it's more complicated now DS1 has autism. We are going to wait to see how things progress with both boys first. Toby seems to be developing normally and is a very social little chap so we will see.

Got to go and put another load of sicky washing on now - the joys of being a mum!

taffy101 · 11/10/2007 20:55

oh nic sounds like a stressful time for you, i can remember you posting that you had concerns. Sorry that you were right. I hope you are getting plenty of support. Is there an SN section on MN? (if you get the time). Hope you are coping ok ((hugs))

Eeyore too, how sad for you. My uncle has/had stomach cancer. He had a gastrectomy and is still soldiering on after a couple of years now. Hope it all turns out ok.

Samsmam what a gorgeous montage (you are so clever) looks like a day to remember! I'm quite excited about my little ones party now!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY EVERYONE!!

Rumpel, what booster is that at one year? [dumb emoticon], thought next one was 18 months (MMR).
BTW dd had mmr not long after all the scandal as people were having single vaccines but not being able to get hold of all of them so lots of opportunities for illnesses to take hold and thought it was the best option in the end.

taffy101 · 11/10/2007 21:00

oh nearly forgot - Wuzzle, i used tommy tippee cups with dd which have a rubbery spout that's spill proof. She took to them very easily but ds is not so keen. Have tried him on the traditional style ones (ones that spill easy) but still not keen. He wants to breast feed forever although he is too nosy in the day time for it so am getting paranoid that he's not getting enough fluid. Any tips welcome...

Rumpel · 12/10/2007 10:26

Hi All,

Great to hear from you NIC - sounds hard going right enough. It is great that they recognise autism now though and that they have specialised teachers for most spectrums. Remember I told you about my friend at school who has aspergers but we just thought he was a bit strange? How times have changed - thank goodness.

TAFFY - It is the HIB and menigitis C booster at 12 months and MMR at 13 months.

Took LO swimming yesterday, then we went shopping. DH tried to get to work but the road was closed as a lorry carrying 3000 chickens had overturned on the motorway - you can imagine the mess. So he just came home. Amber is now pulling herself up to standing - and when she pushed her wheely brick trolley thing along on her knees, she looks to se if you are watching, then gives herself a round of applause She is so funny.

SAMSMAM - how far on are you now? When is your colour scan?

Found out yesterday one of DHs close freinds is having major probs TTC - feel really sorry for them, we are all so lucky.

Well need to go - 2500 words to write before Monday - aggggg! Something I desperatley need for Uni is circulating around the postal system so now I need to do something else instead - grrr!

gingeme · 12/10/2007 13:01

Hi nicand2 wow youve been through the mill by the sound of it. Hope your tummy bug clears up real soon.
lo has just started getting used to a Tommee Tippee cup now. He loves shaking it about to see how wet he can get in one sitting
Bought him amd ds3 their haloween costumes as they have been incited to two different parties. Bought lo a rather appropriate devil outfit.
Rumpel were they live chickens? Were going swimming Sunday. Just hope I can fit into my costume
I hope you all have a good weekend. Take care xx

samsmam · 12/10/2007 15:17

My LO has her booster of Hib and Men C on Tuesday then her MMR at 13 months.

Just come back from tumble tots, I think that the bouncy castle has given her motion sickness. I hate it now that it is 'proper' sick! Makes me feel sick looking!

I am 20 weeks today!!! I have my scan next Thursday, still undecided on the colour discovery bit! Only 6 days to make my decision.

Good to hear from you Nic, keep your chin up.

I have just been signed off for another 4 weeks, looks like I won't be going back to work before new baby arrives.

Rumpel- hope that TTC oh, I mean that 2500 words is coming along nicely!

totallyfloaty35 · 12/10/2007 15:19

baby is 1 today, but we not feeling in a party mood as she kept me up all night(and i mean ALL night)so she is really grumpy and i feel like a zombie and to top it off i have killer period pain...feel exactly like i did a year ago in fact

totallyfloaty35 · 12/10/2007 15:25

nice to hear from you Nic,hope things are going better for you now.
Rumpel, gd luck with uni and the post,Lo has hardly received any cards as they all still floating around in royal mail land.
Gd luck with scan,i found out the sex for dd3 but didnt want to know with the first 2,seems i haveopposite problem to gingme and only produce girls so neednt have bothered !!

samsmam · 12/10/2007 16:05

HAPPY BIRTHDAY Totallyfloaty LO- how come you're not on the list?

Rumpel · 12/10/2007 19:58

Happy Birthday Totally teeny! It feels lik a huge hangover when you don't get any sleep doesn't it?

SAMSMAM - oh well, just relax and enjoy being off. You are doing a far more important job for the moment Main thing is you and beany are okay.

GINGEME - yep - they were live chuckies all right - on the way to slaughter - poor things.

Well my thing for uni didn't arrive today either so I have had to whittle something together and just need to hope for the best. Made good progress today - my bum is numb- still lots to do over the weekend though. I bloody hate doing the references - they are so pernickety, get it wrong and it is an outright fail Mumble mumble huff - off to soak my derriere in the tub.

Night all
