Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
daisyandbabybootoo · 06/09/2007 22:25

gosh DG, his asthma must be pretty serious

Not sure what sort of worms...i don't think it was tapeworms...i'll see if I can find anything on it for you!

daisyandbabybootoo · 06/09/2007 22:27

just googled "gut worms and allergies" and a ton of stuff comes up, like THIS. It's nice to know I didn't just imagine it, LOL!

Charlie999 · 06/09/2007 22:30

Blimey - all that talk about smoking has started me off. I gave up a 20 a day habit last year when I got pg - and it was bloody hard.....now I really fancy a fag.... better go to bed and sleep quick (still have loads of cigarettes in the loft!)

daisyandbabybootoo · 06/09/2007 22:30

This Too

Warning...do not look if you are squeamish

derlor · 06/09/2007 22:34

DG EVERY asthma attack should be taken seriously, i've not caught up properly so i apologise, i can't find any posts from you talking about an asthma attack, has someone you know had one?

daisyandbabybootoo · 06/09/2007 22:35

Well Done you for giving up Charlie. I stopped when I was PG as well, but didn't have a bother with it....DHs theory is that I obviously wasn't a proper smoker.

Sorry if we made you want to smoke...resist the urge...have chocolate instead

daisyandbabybootoo · 06/09/2007 22:39

Derlor, can I pick your brains about it then?

DS has mild asthma. It generally only bothers him when he has a very heavy cold. My old doctor was of the opinion that he should be taking becotide every day as a preventative. DH and I thinking that he shouldn't be taking it on a regular basis if he doesn't actually need it. Whether he takes it or not seems to have no bearing on the frequency/severity of his attacks.

I was similar as a child and would have a nasty attack if ever I got a cold, but grew out of it.

derlor · 06/09/2007 22:40

bugger spent SO long trying to catch up that it's now time to feed LO, so i'm having to leave, even though i wasn't ever really here anyway!!! paaahhh i'm rambling nonsense anyway night night x

derlor · 06/09/2007 22:43

how often does he have "attacks" describe one of his attacks to me. Does he have a salbutamol inhaler (reliever) as well?

Dontknowmyarsefrommyelbow · 06/09/2007 22:49

I used to be an Asthma Specialist for the company I work for - selling inhalers - so know a bit too - if you need any advice on drugs? Non bias - of course

daisyandbabybootoo · 06/09/2007 22:50

He doesn't have attacks as such, just develops a really nasty cough that won't go away. A few weeks of becotide and he is right as rain. He does have a ventolin one as well that's the salbutomol, right?), but we seldom if ever need to use it.

daisyandbabybootoo · 06/09/2007 22:51

just watching the telly....Pavarotti died today!

Charlie999 · 06/09/2007 22:55

Daisy - how did you manage to get through the day till 10.50pm till you heard that news!!! I heard it the minute my alarm went off....and all day since....

daisyandbabybootoo · 06/09/2007 23:06

Cos I've not had the radio on today and we've been watching shite on Jetix this afternoon.

I only switched on toe get the news.

(you know you're getting old when....)

I lurve opera....am off to see Madama Butterfly soon

derlor · 06/09/2007 23:14

sounds OK to me Daisy - keep doing what you are doing. My DS is the same and thats EXACTLY how we treat him to
DKMA, what inhalers did you sell?

Dontknowmyarsefrommyelbow · 06/09/2007 23:15

My lo loves opera! It stops him crying in the car! He's far more cultured than his mummy!!

derlor · 06/09/2007 23:15

oops too

Dontknowmyarsefrommyelbow · 06/09/2007 23:16

Turbohalers - the best in my opinion!!

derlor · 06/09/2007 23:19

ooohh interesting.....
what do/did you sell now then?

Dontknowmyarsefrommyelbow · 06/09/2007 23:22

An antipsychotic drug for the treatment of schizophrenia and bio polar mania
Have also sold antibiotic, statin (cholesterol), A2RB for blood pressure, Calcium channel blocker for blood pressure.

derlor · 06/09/2007 23:24

So what will you be selling when you go back to work, do you know yet?

daisyandbabybootoo · 06/09/2007 23:24

must try DD with opera...she loves music of any sort, and is a big fan of The Fratellis already

We sing the good morning song every morning....

....which isbasically the good morning song from Singing in the Rain, but instead of "we've danced the whole night through", it's "you've slept the whole night through"

Right, I'm going to stop talking shite now and go to bed!

daisyandbabybootoo · 06/09/2007 23:25

LOL DKMA....do you get freebies?

Dontknowmyarsefrommyelbow · 06/09/2007 23:28

Night daisy
Delor - I will still be selling the antipsychotic but on a different area with different customers and a different boss
I loved my old boss and team - we had a right laugh - and I had my boss right where I wanted him - I had it easy! I think when I go back I'll have to work really hard cos the new boss is a slave driver and I wont know any of the customers so they wont want to see me

Dontknowmyarsefrommyelbow · 06/09/2007 23:30

Oh daisy - yep I do get freebies!
I've just sorted my office out cos my mum is staying over on Sat night to babysit while we go to a wedding and my office is also the spare room - so I've just chucked out a tonne of pens, desk lamps, sticky pads, paper shredders etc etc!!!
