greetings, earthling

riabutterflew · 31/08/2007 22:42

did you think you would get rid of me that easily?

Nice bath, seemed a shame to let it out after only 15 minutes (we recycle bathwater, ie unless one of the boys wees in it or is expepctionally filthy we all use it but that was a bath just for ME!)Am now having nice wine (Cloudy something NZ from tesco - v cheap atm).

I am not playing tonight (will I ever catch up with Mnet & facebook?). Had a LOVELY day in Knaresborough with Dh & the boys (it is our special place as we had our very brief honeymoon there before our enagement party - the day after the wedding). We went to Mother Shiptons Cave and put DS3s hand in the wishing well water (now that wouldn't be strile).

I am off to bug DH by loudly worrying about things I can do nothing about (my current favourite - aside from DS1 which is new and money which is not - is that DHs cousin is older than me and is just getting married and thinking of starting a family. I am not yet 30 and have been married 11 years and have 3 children. How will I fill the rest of my life if I'm not having more babies?)

riabutterflew · 31/08/2007 22:43

why can I not take situations at face value and deal with them instead of finding the worst possible scenario for everything, blowing it out of proportion and dwelling on it all the time.

Arse!

derlor · 31/08/2007 22:43

Holly you are too good at scrabble (beware of the scrabble shark everyone!!!)

trendaverter · 31/08/2007 22:49

I can't even remember how to play it

daisyandbabybootoo · 31/08/2007 22:50

aha found you!!! I'm busy refreshing the screen wondering where everyone has gone [stoopid emoticon]

holly, how many games of scrabulous have you got going?

daisyandbabybootoo · 31/08/2007 22:52

ria, I'm with you on the worrying about things I have no control over...I've been pondering in an anxious fashion what would happen if there was a property crash.

I keep meaning to take DS to mother shipton's cave. Did you know it was owned by Paul Daniels?...or it used to be!

trendaverter · 31/08/2007 22:52

I'm off to bed - will finish the scrabble game tomorrow!

daisyandbabybootoo · 31/08/2007 22:56

I'm thinking that too TA....how do you save a game?

derlor · 31/08/2007 22:56

oh this scrabble is so addictive - i've got a good word up my sleeve!!!!! (evil laugh emoticon)

daisyandbabybootoo · 31/08/2007 22:57

i don't have any farking vowels...great consonants but no-where to put them!

where's holly gone?

loonylovegood · 31/08/2007 23:03

Bugger, scrabulous is falling apart around me! I was doing so well!!

I'm going to bed, dp is itching to get on here coz the football transfer window closes at midnight and he wants to know news!

Found you!
Like the title!

Question re a previous post - Foxy (?) spoke about going out - having wine, tabs and a thai - whats "tabs?"

Daisy, why are wool wraps better than those plasticy ones?

I am shutting off for the night now - but will catch up on replies 2mrow!!

Night all!!

riabutterflew · 31/08/2007 23:34

daisy, Paul Daniels doesn't own it anymore but he did when we got married. TBH it's not as good as it used to be, where it used to be a tour guide is now recorded commentary (we used to know the tour by heart!) But it is still the most romantic place in the world to us (on the days when we aren't hanging on to our marriage by our fingernails of course.)
If you go it is worth going to tourist info first and geting a leaflet as it has a BOGOF offer in it. We couldn't find one and had a bigger of a job convincing the admission cow that DS2 was 3, therefore under 4 and so FREE.

riabutterflew · 31/08/2007 23:44

obviously I meant getting and bugger.

oops

I am going to bed tonight while I can still remember how I got there!

Have a good weekend. Rx

daisyandbabybootoo · 31/08/2007 23:45

LOL Ria...we still try to get DS in for free...he's quite a small five, but we need to do it on the quiet or he tells us (in a VERY loud voice) that he's not four, he's five!

JBM...wool is breathable and waterproof (but needs to be treated with lanolin) and only needs washing if it gets poo on it Apparently you only need to air it and the wee smell just evaporates into thin air!

Not sure about the whole thing though as lots of people are allergic to lanolin, and i need to be convinced about not needing a wash.

riabutterflew · 01/09/2007 00:09

DS2 is very tall for his age and was sat on his booster seat obviously. I remember my parent s had to produce my passport when I was 12 to prove I was still a "child".

I am so thick - why can I not realise that I need to sleep when DS3 is asleep? He will wake up soon and I will be wondering why I am knackered. Silly cow.

nite nite

trendaverter · 01/09/2007 09:21

Good morning sunshine!
I think I should get pregnant again. periods SUCK.

loonylovegood · 01/09/2007 09:59

I know periods suck, but I don't think that's a very good reason for getting pg again!

OP posts:
loonylovegood · 01/09/2007 10:00

Giving birth is way worse than any period!

OP posts:
trendaverter · 01/09/2007 10:39

This is of course true. But I don't give birth every month

loonylovegood · 01/09/2007 10:43

Aha, that is also true!

OP posts:
foxybrown · 01/09/2007 11:14

Here you are - you can run, buy you can't hide!

JBM - tabs are cigarettes. Not that i've had one for over a year.

I realised when I saw the question that 'a tab' could also refer to a class A substane favoured by Ravers! oops - certainly NOT what I meant!

Have had to sit on my hands and not contribute to the "should I put my child in the gym creche at 10 months" thread. LO is booked in for next Wednesday. A day off her 8 week birthday!

daisyandbabybootoo · 01/09/2007 11:22

morning...

it's all gone tits up chez boo this morning...arses. weekends even more stressful as i have three farking children instead of two. hsving a shitty time of it, but didn't want to clog up the thread.

foxy i posted on that creche thread early on and nearly got my head (virtually) bitten off....managed tp pull it back though. i was only trying to be nice.

loonylovegood · 01/09/2007 11:29

My dp calls cigarettes tabs as well foxy, he hasn't had one for about 5 mins !

Oh daisy, I don't know what to suggest with the bfing thing, but we are all here to be moaned at when you need to. You won't clog up the thread! xxxx
