tbh i think it's less of an issue with ff babies for the supply reasons below, however, i know nothing really other than do what feels right.

My DN1 was weaned at 11 weeks (as no doubt were all of us)....skinny as a rake, no known allergies etc etc.

sputnik · 06/09/2007 20:09

LOL at the trousers! In answer to your facebook question (I'll answer it here as FB keeps crahing my browser), the music isn't that annoying or loud, as these things go, ours plays Mozart; they most annoying thing is I find myself whistling the tune at odd hours

bumperlicious · 06/09/2007 20:09

Hi all, having mnet withdrawal symptoms as didn't come on last night or today! Typing as I catch up so apologies for the disjointed post.

Daisy, that suck about the ducts again, but you are being a real bf trooper!

DKMA great news about not being made redundant, although you sounded like you might look forward to it! And grrr to your Dh!

Holly,, I'm sure no-one thought you were weird!

Andie, sound like you are having a tough time - you are not this woman's childminder! Don't know how to help you resolve it though.

What's your dp been up to Foxy?

JBM that's scary about the fox ! (I just realised that I typed Foxy there instead of fox! Your DD may be in danger of a harassed mummy !

Well as Daisy said you know your baby best, and if he needs a one off fill'er up, he needs it!
Don't feel bad, raising a baby is hard enough without following all the bloody 'guidelines' as well!

If I did as I was supposed to I don't think I would have had a nights sleep yet.

daisyandbabybootoo · 06/09/2007 20:17

I think the problem may by my bras [penny dropping emoticon]. i have two styles of bra...yesterday wearing royce jasmine bra...no problems. today freya one....blocked ducts.

I've got a couple of bravado bra tops so i'll try one tomorrow and see if it helps, and i'll bin the freya bras for the time being. i have a good mind to take them back to Bravissimo as I was fitted there!

NattyThomasandEllen · 06/09/2007 20:28

my fucking neigbours! they are banging the walls at this time of night while tom is in bed ahhh i cannot WAIT to move

daisyandbabybootoo · 06/09/2007 20:30

feel .like the worst mum myself tonight.

ds and i have done really well today. he's been good, i haven't got cross...all fine and good. gave the dcs a bath, got babyboo out, wrapped her in a towel washed dss hair, then went to get dd ready for bed. popped her in the cot, and when i went back in the bathroom ds had emptied a whole bottle of shampoo into the bath. cue me very annoyed (he knows better) him giving me a gobful, babyboo screaming cos usually booby comes straight after pjs, me shouting, him shouting back, babyboo screaming louder.....aaaarrrrrggggghhhhh. bedtime is for bloody DHs/DPs.

trendaverter · 06/09/2007 20:31

Sounds like none of us is having a particularly good one

loonylovegood · 06/09/2007 20:33

No TA, today is shitty bollocks! Roll on tomorrow!

Gonna make my scrab moves and go to bed and watch scrubs. I'm all hot and sweaty and stressy!

daisyandbabybootoo · 06/09/2007 20:41

trendaverter · 06/09/2007 20:46

I am feeling really depressed and down in the dumps tonight.

I'm logging off, see if I can't find something to cheer me up.

Nite all x

arse/ds2 had 40 min power nap.woke up and dh is now trying toget him back off.baggins woke up as soon as i started the soup. on the plus side ds1 overcame his nerves and had a great time at judo. we are hoping it will help with his anger issues/confidence/being bullied.

i am starting to feel my wollpower going though...

fl i second what daisy said about third world babies. my friend (nurse) was telling me that exact fact the other day. ds1 was weaned at 4 months i think (that was the advice then). fwiw oldbag mil used to mash rusk into milk and make the hole in the teat bigger and then put baby in pram outside back door of pub where she worked- whatever the weather. so none of us are bad mothers! just trying to do our best with the info we have. (DH doesn't have any allergies - except his DMs cooking!)

foxybrown · 06/09/2007 20:53

LOL! I had same conversation with RL friend yesterday, how were we going to go out for a drink and not smoke 20 Marlboroughs each? We both only smoke when we go out and as we haven't been out in a year we've done pretty well! She suggested splitting a pack of 10, but then we'd end up getting them out of the ciggy machine for £100 or however much they are these days

Good for your DS1 Ria, its a big thing for them isn't it? Plus the Dad time he gets too. Great that he enjoyed it.

Am off to bed too. Am done for today YAYYYY!

riabutterflew · 06/09/2007 20:57

obviously i meant willpower (light reflecting on keyboard and as i mentioned before, i cheated in my typing exams).

my opinion re some foodallergies is that they often come about because of the things we haven't been exposed to. same as dh thinks we are so prone to food poisoning etc nowadays because hygiene is so sterile rather than just being very clean so we don't get chance to build immunity. no doubt someone will disagree (i am scared now. i don't normally have a real opinion.)

foxybrown · 06/09/2007 21:03

well i agree! you know you are safe with us!

Dontknowmyarsefrommyelbow · 06/09/2007 21:04

For what it's worth Ria - I agree too!

daisyandbabybootoo · 06/09/2007 21:08

the increase in allergies is due to the fact that we don't get worms....

seriously. I watched a fascinating programme on it and they said that since worms have been eradicated in some third worls countries the incidence of asthma exczema and hayfever has gone up at an alarming rate. One of the aouthos of the report had hideous hayfever, so much so that he could hardly go out when pollen levels were high. He swallowed some gut worms of some decription and his symptoms disappeared completely. Apparently the worms excrete some sort of enzyme that suppresses the immune response.

I'm not trying it though. I'll put up with my mild asthma and exczema thank you very much.

although in hindsight they might help with the diet

riabutterflew · 06/09/2007 21:08

thats ok then

i am off now, dh hasn't got the monitor in a nice place for me to see from the sofa and my bloody neck hurts.

i so hope (in the nicest possible way) that i won't be on here ALL day tomorrow. i would like to look at baggins from a distance for a change, and there's still my kitchen to clean...

nite
