DD slept from 10pm till 7am had a feed and is asleep again ...shame I'm so knackered not getting to sleep till 1am ...oh well ITS FRIDAY AND A LONG WEEKEND - I forgot, means nothing ATM while I'm not at work - everyday is a work day as a mum

I have no idea of DDs weight ATM but she was sticking to the 9th centile last time!

Hope your journey is ok TA

Have a good day everyone

sputnik · 24/08/2007 09:32

As you can tell from Daisy's post you can get quite into all the different kinds of nappies out there! I have never had a poo leakage with a motherease wrap, which is more than can be said for disposables. They are durable too, worth every penny.

Good luck with your house searches today Bumper, and with your juorney TA.

DH took DD off to the MIL's for the day, so it's just me and the little guy and a big messy house. You'll all be happy to know it's raining here too

sputnik · 24/08/2007 09:37

lovely thread here

TALLULAHBELLE · 24/08/2007 10:16

AAARRGGGH - serves me right for being so pleased with myself last time - DD went down at 10 up at 1, 3 & 5 ;30 when i took her into bed & she fed on & off till 9. I am sooooo tired. And i start my 'shape up' class today. Just don't have the energy for it. AAAARRRRGGGHHH

faylisa · 24/08/2007 10:31

Morning all

Sorry to hear that Tallulah.

Must have small celebration though as DS slept through for the first time last night - from 9-6. Or rather from 9-6 without feeding. He did wake up twice for his dummy but I can more-or-less do that in my sleep. Not counting any chickens though as it took DD weeks from her first sleep-through to start doing it regularly.

annobal · 24/08/2007 10:53

On the reusable nappy front, I always liked Fuzzi Bunz but not til they're a bit older. We've been using Moltex which are compostable but have switched back to pampers as Ds poos so much that his bottom was getting sore and pampers tend to lock away much better.

We're all sat on the couch at the moment and ds3 has his head on ds2's lap - very sweet

andiem · 24/08/2007 10:56

Hi everyone

have a good trip TA

sorry you had a crap night Tallulah I had two bad nights but have just had a good one so feeling much better today

Faylisa a good night for you too

Bumper my dh is equally as deprived I just can't face it at the mo and he stays up later than me so would have to wake me up and if he did I would kill him

Well lo had his injections was as good as gold and went back to sleep on the walk home afterwards my ds wanted to see the holes in his legs but I said a firm no. The practice nurse said to me afterwards are u a nurse and I said why and she said the way you held him you were so firm the training just kicked in hopefully he will be ok

off to do washing and make spag bol whilst the coast is clear.......

foxybrown · 24/08/2007 11:28

Morning!

Please stop talking nappies - am feeling very guilty for the landfill I am singularly responsible for!

How are you all today? Sorry to hear about your crappy night T, you are due some good nights in a row soon!

Good luck TA, but I guess you are on the road now. Anyway, hope you have a great Naming Day for Sullivan.

Sat on the couch Annobal? Get up and bake something woman! have been doing exactly the same this morning. Lazy arse that I am

andiem · 24/08/2007 11:30

you're not alone foxy we do landfill too but get rid of my guilt as we are involved in recycling trial so recycle nearly everything including all food

foxybrown · 24/08/2007 11:37

Hows that spag bol coming on?

Hope your lo is ok after jabs. I do feel sorry for the little things, and am not looking forward to my lo getting hers.

Faylisa, good news on your lo sleeping through too.

Oooh, they are growing up too fast!

LOL at our 'poor' DH/DPs. If only they had to give birth.

andiem · 24/08/2007 12:03

spag bol done washing on lo asleep ds playing nicely what's going to happen????

foxybrown · 24/08/2007 12:06

andiem · 24/08/2007 12:09

don't be did fark all yesterday so on a bit of a mission today

foxybrown · 24/08/2007 12:14

I frequently do nothing, and then when I do, I feel like Mother of the Year/Housewife of the Year So big pat on the back for cooking and washing at the same time! Now sit back and have a cuppa. You've earned it!

sputnik · 24/08/2007 12:34

On the subject of tea, is anyone else finding it next to impossible to manage to actually drink one before it goes cold?

Charlie999 · 24/08/2007 13:22

Sputnik - was only saying that to a friend from work earlier - haven't had a hot cuppa since I had DD and she said that when you go back to work its very strange as you get to have hot cups of tea and coffee and lunch - all without being interrupted

Charlie999 · 24/08/2007 13:59

with all my problems "down there" that I've had since DD was born, GP said I should do a pregnancy test.....I'm incredibly pleased to report it was NEGATIVE [phew].....

sputnik · 24/08/2007 14:39

That must be a relief!

bumperlicious · 24/08/2007 14:40

Thermal mug sputnik - it's he only way!

Foxy, like you I consider it an achievement if I get 1 chore done a day.

Just been to see a house. It's a musty little cottage in the middle of nowhere. Kinda nice nice actually. Suits me and dh's run down style , but is half hour from where we leave now in in the countryside. Not sure if I would feel isolated, plus I hate having to rely on a car to get anywhere. God, I have no decision making capabilites! Had to view it on my own too so can't even rely on DH's opinion.

sputnik · 24/08/2007 14:52

Will have to get my mum to check the Lakeland catalogue or something for one of those.

The house sounds quite nice. I live somewhere you have to take a car to go anywhere and it is a pita. Upside is fresh air, privacy, peace and quiet etc. Does it have a garden?

BadZelda · 24/08/2007 15:49

DD1 asleep: check; DD2 in playgym: check; time for a coffee and a bit of web action. Doesn't lool like anyone's around though?

BadZelda · 24/08/2007 15:50

Sounds a bit isolated to me bumper...but then I'm a city girl through and through. Love having the one o'clock club within walking distance for all those rainy days...

trendaverter · 24/08/2007 17:03

helllooooo lovely ladies!

I am here!

Well I tried doing my bit for the environment but leapt back into landfill with open arms
Journey was good but 10 miles of standstill traffic on the M25 the other day feel bad for the poor sods.

andiem · 24/08/2007 17:18

Hi TA glad you made it in one piece

BZ I'm an urban girl as well like being able to walk everywhere good for trying to shift the baby lard as well

Bumper sounds nice but maybe bit isolated as BZ says. my friend who lives in cornwall has to drive every where and to be honest when we stay with them I find it a right PITA

Same friends toddler broke los toy bar for his chair last week. my mum bought it for him so am right pissed off he loves it as well. have just rung chicco though and they said I can have another one free as it is still in warranty. not sure how said toddler did it but as my friend says she has bugger written all over her

Have also just booked hols for next summer organised i know but we want to go back to the house we stayed in this year and when I looked on the web 2 weeks of next summer had already gone so had a bit of a panic

bumperlicious · 24/08/2007 17:28

Sputnik DH and I swear by [http://www.aktive8.com/p/Berghaus/Camping-Cooksets-Cookware/Thermal-Travel-Mug/BB1482.html these]].

I think my instinct is saying no to the country cottage. At the moment we live just outside the centre of town, 2 minute walk to shops and 10 mins to town centre. It would be a total lifestyle change, and you are right about friends visiting, it would be a PITA.

Shit just spilled blackcurrant on the laptop DH'll kill me! It's not to bad, just on the edge of the keyboard.

Well, two more houses to see later. We have two months so aren't desperate yet. Sorry to keep boring you about it!

Glad you got some time to come back on BZ - you obviously don't neglect your children like the rest of us
