Hiya Sputnik hows it going?

trendaverter · 20/08/2007 21:09

it's official...DS is now in size 3-6m.
hmm.
Need to buy him some sweaters.

Seansgirl · 20/08/2007 21:11

Ta, i am crap at bidding on ebay I'd end up spending more than it was worth IYSWIM - I'm going to stick to selling my stuff after my resounding success with my maternity clothes am moving on to DDs stuff that I no longer need to keep (does that count???)

sputnik · 20/08/2007 21:11

Hiya SG

daisyandbabybootoo · 20/08/2007 21:12

how many weeks is he TA? I had DD (11 weeks) in 3-6 mo trousers but that's mainly cos nearly all her 0-3 mo are shorts and this weather is too crap and cold. They had huge turn ups though, but fitted quite well around her real nappy and wrap clad bottom.

I'm loving plain old terry squares btw and plan to buy more when she grows out of all the size 1 nappies!

Wow TA! Hes a big lad, thought it was Holly that gave birth a toddler! How old is he?

Seansgirl · 20/08/2007 21:14

Hmm sorry guys think I hear the vino calling to me, will be going soon I think must get a slurp in before the nightshift - oh god! its going to worse tonight with poorly injection legs

sputnik · 20/08/2007 21:16

Oh, how did that happen?
Snap SG, I've got loads of pink sstuff to get rid of, plus a few sleepsuits etc from DS that never even got worn - too hot here. he's in 3-6 too.

Seansgirl · 20/08/2007 21:17

TA have just remebered meant to ask you - now DS is on gaviscon have his poos got thicker? DS is having very pastey poos with gaviscon - but then I have noticed it makes the milk a bit thicker - i am sure its the correct dosage have checked.

trendaverter · 20/08/2007 21:17

He's 8.5 weeks, but long. He's 14lbs.
Everything is too short/tight in 0-3! Argh I should have bought some bits today for him.

trendaverter · 20/08/2007 21:19

yes gaviscon makes the milk thicker and can cause constipation

It's the thicker milk that can help with the reflux - sometimes I just use carobel (a thickener) instead of gaviscon.

Seansgirl · 20/08/2007 21:19

Other way round here Spuntik have got loads of summer stuff shorts and short dungarees but have started to put them away as so bloomin drafty here! Yes- 4 years worth of girls clothes to sort and put into age bundles to ebay! Oh what joy!

bumperlicious · 20/08/2007 21:19

Evening all, after being so well behaved all day DD is now seriously cranky, has been feeding every 2 hours, and has pooed 3 times today (usually once every 2 days or so). Could this be teething troubles?

TA, did you just empty the sachet of that stuff into DS's mouth? Didn't it make him choke? Might have to get some tomorrow. He is lovely btw

SG, yeah, I've been meaning to suggest a meet up with you for a while. I'll email you

Daisy how is dd after her run in with her big bro'? Have you decided how you are going to handle it?

Confession time for me - today I had half a brownie and half a muffin in starbucks - but I just needed to eat! On that topic - any suggestions for healthy but yummy snacks (sweet) that I can carry round with me?

bumperlicious · 20/08/2007 21:21

Thanks for the links btw TA, just checked my email. Will pass them on to DH

Seansgirl · 20/08/2007 21:21

see? lowering the tone with poo talk - yes he has had some pellets too - so have been trying to get him to have water but he spits it out mostly. Thanks for the note on the other stuff will ask GP i think.

daisyandbabybootoo · 20/08/2007 21:22

SG I hope DS is OK after his jabs. Babyboo was ok at the time, but screamed inconsolably for over an hour in the evening. I think Jamantha's LO was the same.

Maybe a swap shop would be a good idea. Those with older DDs who have DSs can swap with those with older DSs who now have DDs!

Bumper will check it later.

daisyandbabybootoo · 20/08/2007 21:25

bumper, we sent him out shopping with DH for the morning and half the afternoon as he hates shopping, but true to his generally twisted form he was good as gold! He was full of apologies when we got back and has been very gentle with her since, but I'm not leaving him in the room with her (I've told him he can't be trusted). She's obviously fogiven him already though as he was getting lots of giggles and smiles at tea-time.

Hi SG/sputnik/and ev 1 else
Reporting back on Lidls nappies - very bulky - theyre from 9lbs up and she's about 10 and half. - but they coped last night with a very wet nappy and today a pooey one - so seem ok.

Daisy - do you use your terry ones with a modern wrap? how much are terrys then compared to say a motherease £8 nappy. ( I think thats about right).

Glad Ta and Bumper had a good day - I am envious of you being so relaxed about meetups - Im abit of a worry guts - even though I can talk to anyone, I put too many barriers up beforehand. oh I'll just shut up, cant really explain!!

Seansgirl · 20/08/2007 21:27

Yes, yes Daisy thats exactly how it was - jabs at 2 and then ok til 6 and them bam - screaminging and wailing for an hour!

Swap Shop! What a brilliant idea Daisy! Are you going play Noel or Cheggars? Seriously not a bad idea though.

Right, as you can tell am not dieting yet as have stuffed scones and clotted cream today and can hear the wine calling me so I'll say goodnight!

Seansgirl · 20/08/2007 21:29

Oh and my other news is that had a swab at my 6 week check up and have called today by surgery to say have infection and have got to go for scan on fri as am still losing blood

Seansgirl · 20/08/2007 21:30

Right this is really it , hello wine and night night to you allxxx

daisyandbabybootoo · 20/08/2007 21:33

JBM...the terrys were £10 for six in Mothercare, but aren't that great quality. There are better cotton ones (Little Ewes) or bamboo ones (Babeco) that are about £2.50 each. I've got a Motherease Rikki wrap, a couple of second hand Proraps and an old totsbots (no leg gussets). The ME Rikki is the best and even contained one of DDs four day brewed sloppy pasty poos!!

The wraps are about £7 or £8 each, and I've just ordered another Rikki and a couple of Nature Babies as they come in lovely patterns and colours!

Try looking at Bumfluff nappies. she is a fellow MNetter and gave me great advice.

No it didn't choke him, the teething powder, he seemed to quite like it actually. Then again he likes anything I put in his mouth.
I don't feel very well...think I have eaten too much rich food today. GOing to bed to sleep it off, have a good evening all x

daisyandbabybootoo · 20/08/2007 21:37

Sorry to hear about the infection SG. I hope you feel better soon!

I should have an early night tonight. I've been drinking far too much wine over the last few weeks and being complacent about DD sleeping through and having late nights. It's not doing my headspace any favours as it seems to be cancelling out the ADs somewhat.....that and it's just empty calories!!
