foxy!

foxybrown · 20/08/2007 11:26

Aw, don't be Holly!its the first time in 2 months!

Sputnik, am very of you exercise, but just realised lo is 6 weeks old on thurs (i think) so can be left in the creche at the gym. yay! exercise and time alone!

sputnik · 20/08/2007 11:30

Morning you 2

loonylovegood · 20/08/2007 11:32

William is still feeding every 2-3 hours!

I am seriously fat! Has anyone done SW? I need a diet where I can eat lots! I get v hungry and when I am hungry I am not a nice person!

foxybrown · 20/08/2007 11:38

have you tried WW? you can do the 'no count' which is basically unlimited food from a long list, plus a 'treats' points allowance.

i signed up for the monthly pass - 17.95 a month, which is online access and meetings.

now, i need a plan for today. help!

sputnik · 20/08/2007 11:38

I waited til 6 weeks and no bleeding before doing anything serious.
It's funny, I'm not a sporty person at all and avoided pe like the plague at school, but now I really enjoy a bit of exercise.

I am doing a lot of stair climbing. apparently J-lo and Madonna do it And it's free

daisyandbabybootoo · 20/08/2007 11:40

holly, i lost over a stone doing SW before I got pregnant. It's great as you can fill up on rice and pasta and potatoes on a green day. I used to have a huge baked potato and a while tin of beans for lunch and it was all free

You get additional healthy extras if you are BF, and they recommend you use your daily 15 syn allowance so you can still ahve wine (4.5 syns for 125ml glass) or chocolate, or use them for more meat etc. I've been very virtuous this morning, but that's cos I feel crap and am not hungry.

i need to do something cos I still look pregnant FFS!

Not sure this breast pain is mastitis as I can't see any red bits anywhere, and have been feeding from the one side but it's made no difference.

I'm the same, not sporty at all - but I get slightly obsessed about exercise once I start. I'm also quite uptight about it because I need to do it but can't.

I can't even go and power walk, as the kids can't walk that fast!

loonylovegood · 20/08/2007 11:42

I don't eat meat, so I think SW would be the best one for me as I can eat loads of pasta and rice.

Do you go to the meetings foxy? I don't think I could face being weighed in front of loads of people!

daisyandbabybootoo · 20/08/2007 11:45

holly, they never disclose your weight, only how much you have lost! i used to go to the SW meetings and found them a bit patronising....the little britain sketch isn't that far off the mark, LOL. But I did get slimmer of the week once and got a little fridge magnet...but i felt a fraud as I'd only lost half a pound...its just that no-one else lost anything

OP posts:
sputnik · 20/08/2007 11:46

Foxy, you don't have a plan? Always think of you as Mrs Organised How abouot posting some pics of the meet-up?

Holly, eat as much fruit and veg as you want, stir-frys are good, just have a tiny amount of rice. Or pasta where you fill the plate wth tomatoes, bit of cheese and just a handful of pasta. Read somewhere about a study where people lost weight eating 7 or 8 large potatoes a day, as they're filling but not too many calories.

foxybrown · 20/08/2007 11:46

Hiya Daisy. Do you think it might be thrush? You can buy Daktarin gel over the counter if you can't get to drs to get it for free. I used it a couple of weeks ago when I thought I had it but couldn't be arsed to go to the docs. LO didn't seem to have it in her mouth, so I used it and washed it off before feeding (she was only a couple of weeks old, I wouldn't worry about it now).

I had a similar pain kind of in my arm-pit and in my little finger (something to do with nerve endings I believe). Sounds weird, I know.

loonylovegood · 20/08/2007 11:47

Lol at Little Britain, that is just how I imagine the meetings to be!

I think I'd become obsessed and I'd be slimmer of the week every week! I am v competative!

loonylovegood · 20/08/2007 11:49

Oh daisy, I got my organised mum calendar the other day. It is really cool. I stashed it upstairs out of the way until it starts next week. Well dd found it and now every page up until december has black scribbles all over it!

sputnik · 20/08/2007 11:50

Know what you mean Foxy, I got grumpy last week as couldn't exercise with DD around. got any stairs in your house?

foxybrown · 20/08/2007 11:51

Nope, no plan! Aaaarrgghhhh!

Wish it was raining, wouldn't feel guilty about them sitting infront of the tv then.

Right, wellies on and off to the park before lunch. Then I think baking this afternoon. Have all those bloody dodgy Ocado bananas to do something with.

They have emailed me with a bottle of wine and £10 voucher now.

loonylovegood · 20/08/2007 11:52

Bake banana bread foxy! Good activity for the kids and gets rid of manky bananas! Yum!

foxybrown · 20/08/2007 11:57

Don't have a banana bread receipe, so I think Banana Muffins perhaps. Suns out now. bugger.

Oh well, kids don't seem to be getting socks and shoes on and are playing 'toy shops'. Am off to do something productive!

sputnik · 20/08/2007 11:57

DH and DD made pizza last night. It was actually edible

loonylovegood · 20/08/2007 12:26

Someone please shoot me! I've just been walking round the house singing the "I'm on my way to work today" song from Me Too! AAARRRGGGHHHH!!!

daisyandbabybootoo · 20/08/2007 12:43

Never seen it...a treat in store obviously....

I think I may have solved the sore boob problem..I've been scuffing around the house for the last two days wearing (not very supportive) shelf bra tops. Have now had shower and put proper supporting bra on and pain is less than it was so I'm thinking I might have pulled something.

Got the builders back in. We had our garage re-roofed as it was leaking in one place. It's been re-boraded and felted and is now leaking in several places. Some of DHs darkroom equipment has gotten damaged and he is not a happy camper as we will need to do a huge claim on the insurance to replace it....these things cost thousands of pounds apparently. Wondering if we should claim off the builders.

I've just been on the roof with them and it's like a swimming pool up there. he weakly blamed their felter....like so, that's my problem how. Don't feel up to shouting at them, so have phoned DH who was hoping to be back before they came (they said 3). God I'm a wimp at complaining!

Very very very bad mother alert

Just drove DD to nursery, came home, then drove part of the way back again before realising Baby Sputnik'ss carseat wasn't actually strapped to the car

daisyandbabybootoo · 20/08/2007 14:40

sputnik...I've done that with DS....he's been in the booster seat, but sealtbelt not on

I also did the classic pick him up in the baby carseat and swing him...without him being buckled in and he plopped out onto the floor

sputnik · 20/08/2007 15:06

Thanks, I feel a bit beetter now, Daisy

Charlie999 · 20/08/2007 16:00

Afternoon

Oh Sputnik - I've done something similar - drove around for 3 days with DD in the front and forgot to turn the air-bag off

If I can ever find the motivation, I may do SW again - I love their green days as well Daisy and last time I done it I lost 3 stone (I am seriously overweight). I also got slimmer of the week once for losing 5lb - but I'd had gastroenteritis for 5 days - not the recommended method . Sounds like SW would be ideal for you Holly.

Daisy - sounds like roofers should be making a claim not you! . I'd be very pissed off.
