Hey there...just back from the Horniman and have put Ella in front of the telly...usually banned till 5pm in this house but I need a rest! Horniman was fun, and lovely to meet some of you...but I feel like I need eyes in the back of my head with DD....not relaxing or condusive to chatting. Will def. try to lurk less if I can get the hang of this one handed typing...

annobal · 16/08/2007 17:12

Hi everyone, also back from Horniman's. It was great fun and everyone is really lovely but also have kids in front of tv as I'm exhausted. BZ Ella is gorgeous and much better behaved than Tom and George!

BadZelda · 16/08/2007 17:34

Aww she's not too bad - I'm probably a bit hard on her because I worry she'll get lost / injured. At least your boys seem to have a good homing instinct, and they were very sweet with Matilda

loonylovegood · 16/08/2007 17:39

Glad you had a lovely time. Can't wait to meet people next time, it'll be odd!

bumperlicious · 16/08/2007 17:46

Come on guys, we need more details than that!

I am going out on my own tonight with some work friends! No dd or dh. Getting dolled up to go to a fancy restaurant (a reward for some work we did - i'm not paying!). Although I am ready to go out now, an hour and a half early as I can't guarantee I will have the time if i leave it too late, so sitting in front of friends in my red lippy with freshly died hair! Might wear some red shoes tonight too. Red shoes make me happy!

trendaverter · 16/08/2007 18:09

I'm home!
(at long bloody last)

Had a good time, was so nice to meet BZ, Foxy and Annobal!
Special thanks to Foxy for putting up with me calling her 40 times

riabutterflew · 16/08/2007 18:23

sounds like you all had a good time. am a bit jealous...

for your BF bumper.love your red shoe thing. you are the shoe queen (it was you who had a head to toe yellow outfit with matching toenails?)

baby frodo baggins is yelling again. bathtime i think!

justbeme · 16/08/2007 18:48

Glad you all had a good day - was thinking of you all today!!
How long did it take you to get there/back Ta?
so was it TA/foxy/Annobal/BadZelda? Any one else? - must have been weird at the first point of meeting??

loonylovegood · 16/08/2007 19:24

Would I be a bad person if I bought some of these?!

justbeme · 16/08/2007 19:28

what colour were u thinking of?

loonylovegood · 16/08/2007 19:30

Not sure, prob blue. They look so comfy and my feet are so sore atm. None of my shoes fit me properly and I keep getting blisters. I just want a pair of shoes that feel nice to walk in!

Can you come to the next meet up jbm? Or is it a bit far?

justbeme · 16/08/2007 19:31

I quite liked the pearl colour - all our MW's here wesr the normal crocs cos they say they are sooooo comfy - but i have narrow feet so these ones would prob fit me better - go on Holly - treat yourself!!

No, the Hornimans too far for a wuss like me!!

loonylovegood · 16/08/2007 19:42

I've just spoken to my mum and she said she'd buy them for me! I love my mummy! I think I'm gonna get pearl.

My name is Holly and I own some crocs!

I never thought this day would come!

Bumper, hope your friend is ok. Does she know if she is def miscarrying? Poor thing.

justbeme · 16/08/2007 19:46

ahh do u think were all gonna be nice mummys like yrs when were older?

bumper for yr friend. my advice is if she does miscarry just tell her that yr there 4 her if shes feelin down etc - dont say "it obso wasnt meant 2 b etc"
sorry 1ht.

loonylovegood · 16/08/2007 20:18

Ordered them! Am quite excited now, how very sad!

faylisa · 16/08/2007 20:21

Well done for ordering the crocs - everyone I know who wears them raves about how comfy they are - and comfort is especially important when you're looking after one or more little ones!

foxybrown · 16/08/2007 20:21

HOLLY! NOOOOOOOOO!!

Had a lovely day thanks. No, not weird to meet up. Had been speaking to TA on the phone, and then we were too distracted with children afterwards! The children all got on really well which was lovely. DS1 took his role as the eldest a bit too seriously, but DD1 and BZs DD1 were very sweet together. DD1 has been chatting about her new friends at bedtime tonight. Big 'Ahhhhhh'!

Perhaps we should do a soft play inthe future, so we can sit around and let the kids run - they aren't condusive to chatting are they?

Ria, am so pleased you are back. I've missed your humour!

derlor · 16/08/2007 20:25

evening

loonylovegood · 16/08/2007 20:28

Thanks faylisa, I'm really worried about wearing them. I farking hate crocs, but I have to have some comfy shoes!

Glad you all had a good time and the dcs got on well. Are you all coming to the next one?

trendaverter · 16/08/2007 20:35

Wasn't weird at all - I thought it might be, but I had been phoning foxy frantically every 10 minutes telling her how lost I was, and as soon as we met up it was fine, just slotted into place!
Oh come on JBM, you can do it! If I can, anyone can!

Having said that DH said he is going to buy me a sat nav as he is sick of me calling him while he is in meeting shouting 'help I'm lost!'

DS has been in a really good mood since being home, and eaten loads, fresh air must have done him some good!

Foxy - pulled away at about 3.15 pm, got home about 5.30/5.45? Can't remember. Got stuck in shit traffic in Kew, but I also had to pull over for a feed. I found out the teats I had on today were too slow, hence the snacking, put on a faster one when I got home and he has had 12oz since being home!

annobal · 16/08/2007 20:35

Holly, they do look comfy - i think if i sucumbed to the crocs i'd never wear anything else

Glad you made it back ok TA.

I've just had a 2 hour nap - god i'm getting old . i can watch house and shark tonight now .

Tom watched transformers before he went to bed, it is now his favourite and he wants it on for 'several years'

trendaverter · 16/08/2007 20:38

Today was a crash course in my possible future.
I have learnt:
Take a picnic, never queue in the cafe
Take a picnic blanket
Don't leave buggy raincover on car roof when pulling away
Take valium
buy a sat nav

annobal · 16/08/2007 20:40

No, it wasn't weird to meet up, it was really nice to meet. DSs kept running away so it was difficult to chat, hopefully they'll be a little less wired next time...

annobal · 16/08/2007 20:41

LOL TA - you can borrow my picnic blanket any time

derlor · 16/08/2007 20:44

TA - give yoursel a big pat on the back for a successful trip out!!
of your meet up maybe when LO's are older we could ALL meet up (without LO's or men) in New York for some shopping!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
