Cheers Derlor

Shame you are so far away!

I have to go to Southampton tomorrow to visit my nan - argh! Taking the dog too, I am going to be frazzled!

loonylovegood · 16/08/2007 20:48

Ooooo can you come and meet me TA? Or will you not have time?

trendaverter · 16/08/2007 20:50

I feel a bit bad though as I thought I saw Charlie999 or at least someone that looked just like her, and I didn't go over and ask...if it was you Charlie and you are lurking, I'm sorry!

trendaverter · 16/08/2007 20:51

I won't have time tomorrow Holly as I have to drive Nan to the GP, but you aren't far from me and it's an easy drive, I am happy to come down another day?

I like getting out and about, get cabin fever in my little house!

loonylovegood · 16/08/2007 20:54

Sounds good TA, I am free most days, just let me know when you can come down. Sorry to sound desperate there, I am lonely!

derlor · 16/08/2007 20:59

that facebook malarky is confusing me! am i even in the right place are you all over there somewhere chatting????

trendaverter · 16/08/2007 21:05

Me too!

I am chocca until the 3rd Sept now as I am staying in Essex for over a week while DH redecorates but am free anytime after that!
Let's sort something out.

DS just did a projectile vomit of mega proportions...he was at one end of the sofa and it hit me at the other end of a 2m long sofa. Nice.

derlor · 16/08/2007 21:11

TA i just tried to send you a drink to congratulate you on your successful day out, ended up sending you about 10 of them and didn't even type you a message AAAARRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH

vole3 · 16/08/2007 21:11

DS managed to shoot a jet of poo 3 ft across the room and up my sleeve when he was 2 weeks old. Husband ROFL, me trying to get shirt off without flicking poo everywhere. Then again, I did choose the carpet for the room in a lovely peanut butter colour and it was scotchguarded so I don't know what I was worried about.

Just spent 2 hours watching a film with DH and my joints totally seized up with the arthritis. Had sent DH upstairs with DS and thought I would have to call him back to haul me off the sofa. Managed to get up in the end but had to crawl up the stairs.

Note to self - must remember to move at least once every 15 minutes to avoid embarrassment.

trendaverter · 16/08/2007 21:16

Cheers Derlor!
I need a few drinks anyway

riabutterflew · 16/08/2007 21:18

don't be sad holly, crocs (although desparing fashionable) are so bloody comfy it doesn't matter. I have the ones with holes in fuschia pink and aspen (no holes, like MWs wear) in purple. They have done wonders for my bad heels and sciatica.DH got a bit pissed off with me rinsing them in the bath and leaving them hung on the taps to dry though, so I've had to stop that. I want some of those more feminine ones - mary janes?

I cooked sausage pasta from the lastest good food mag tonight. DH & the boys were quaking, but it tasted far better than it actually looked (everything I cook seems to go a bit grey...)

Am off to try this facebook ting. I hate being left out!

derlor · 16/08/2007 21:25

i'm playing game it's quite addictive!!!
Ria good luck - you'll need it facebook is hard!

loonylovegood · 16/08/2007 21:26

Oh ria, you are so cool!

I'm off to bed, need to get one more good sleep before dp comes home tomorrow!

Love to you all xx

derlor · 16/08/2007 21:28

oops can't get link to work it's "guess my age" on channel 4 webpage

annobal · 16/08/2007 21:33

Daisy or Foxy (or anyone with 'older' kids), are transformers too old (scary?) to theme a 4th birthday party around?

trendaverter · 16/08/2007 21:34

Night all!

sputnik · 16/08/2007 21:37

Finally got some pics up on facebook

faylisa · 16/08/2007 21:41

On the theme of parties - has anyone got any good ideas for DD's 2nd birthday party - other than fairies which 3 of her friends are already doing?!

derlor · 16/08/2007 21:45

Faylisa/annobal try this link for party stuff

sputnik · 16/08/2007 21:49

Can't help you there Faylisa, my DD is 3 but I still haveen't had a "proper" birthday party yet, just rellies.

BTW, she keeps turning off the telly too, annoying isn't it?

annobal · 16/08/2007 21:53

Thanks Derlor - Charlie and Lola are soooo much cuter than transformers. I wonder if I can talk him in to the incredibles...

derlor · 16/08/2007 21:58

annobal, you are welcome does he not like any of these others????

daisyandbabybootoo · 16/08/2007 22:01

Aw sputnik, bootiful babies! and with (shock horror) suntans too!! we don't get the sun here, EVER!

Glad you all had a lovely meet up today....having met bumper, it is nice to put faces to names. We northern lasses must get something organised...can't have those bloody southerners showing us up with their organisational skills

vole, I hope your joints are feeling a bit better soon. I can only imagine how hard it must be with a baby to take care of. Keep talking to us on here and we'll try to keep your spirits up!

We went to the Royal armouries museum today, and apart from a couple of minor infarctions whilst out, and a biting incident before we left the house (his cousin on the receiving end), DS has been good as gold. DD slept through the whole afternoon, then woke up and fed for two hours solid!

Another 10 hour stint last night...looks like she's in her sleep groove and my sleepless nights are over

TA are you interested in selling your nappies? Was it bamboozles that you bought? and what size/colour/fastening are they?

LOL Ria...it is good to have you and your dry wit back ! I've been and gone to Staithes, but hopefully we can organise a meet up at some point. I have a car so don't mind driving.

Right, off to sit with my guests....I've been rude long enough.

and thanks for all the drinks/gifts/fish etc etc on facebook. No time to send anything back, but will get up to speed next week!!

who's putting the meet up photos on then?

derlor · 16/08/2007 22:02

when DS was 4 he had a jungle party it was fun and all the LO's wore masks etc..

sputnik · 16/08/2007 22:05

Pirates could be fun. If you can get Johnny Dep let us know.
Speaking of pirates, DD put a baseball cap on backwards today and said "I'm a pirate mummy" awww
