Hi Leo! Jay and Shanks are pregnant!

People are meeting up and I'm very jealous

Spongecake is getting married. And so is Diva in 2.5 months....

Hasan has two teeth...so much sympathy on the teething front.

Leoladyofleisure · 07/08/2007 21:20

Wow, yes I've just seen Jay and Shanks are both pregant again.
Jay isn't your dd only about a year older than Jensen? Thats going to be 3 under 3 isn't it ! Congratulations and good luck with the pregnancy.

I also get at the meet ups! Maybe one day.....

Spongecake and Diva !

foxcub · 07/08/2007 23:04

Hi Leo - thanks for updating us, I was womdering how your little boys are! Sounds as if you are all doing really well [waves]

eidsvold · 07/08/2007 23:04

Well we have had a nightmare 45 minutes yesterday trying to get dd3 to take a bottle. She absolutely refuses to take a dummy - preferring her thumb. I tried to get her to take some formula last week in preparation for dh and my night out tomorrow night. SHe refused and screamed - kept turning and trying to latch on through my shirt. So figured it was cause she could smell me. Got dh to try - she refused again.

Yesterday I expressed and thought I would try again with breastmilk - 45 minutes of screaming and crying and I managed to get about 40 mls down her. Towards the end she would suck a couple of times and then refuse it.

Thankfully the friend/2nd grandma who is looking after them whilst dh and I go to the theatre tomorrow night - is very sensible, calm and one of those wise women who would have been a village elder had we still lived in villages.

I will give dd3 a big feed at 6pm just before we go and hope she might go through until we get back after 11pm! Maybe if it is not me trying to feed her the bottle but it is breastmilk she might take it.

Any suggestions?? I have tried different teats, slow flow and medium flow - although have not tried my avent teats. Might try those today.

Eids I remember having this with DS1 the first time I tried a bottle. I think I just persevered until he took it. Eventually he probably got hungry ... but I remember him gagging as though I was drowning him. After about 2 days he loved it

kiwibella · 08/08/2007 07:30

Eids... I have just had a text from my aunt who saw Miss Saigon and loved it!! I hope that wee Kate takes the bottle while you are out. Her carer sounds like she won't get flustered if there are any probs.

Great to hear from you Leo and an update about your precious boys.

Glad that you are feeling brighter Rosy... welcome back .

Same to you Diva... you sound so much more relaxed. I can't wait to celebrate your nuptials with you... and deffo think we need a virtual hen's night.

Foxy... I don't get annual leave as such but I was hoping to go back to work knowing that I would be going on maternity leave again shortly after. I missed the bit about having to return to work for 3 months so as not to pay back my maternity pay - bugger - so feeling pressured at the moment.

I am due back at work on 3 September. We are away for the last week of August. Any chance that we could meet the week before?? How is 23 August???

The premmie baby who was born at 25 weeks is doing well and her mama is very positive. I stretched the definition of 'friend' really because Mama is a fellow kiwi who I know so I have been waiting / calling mutual friends for updates. I might see if we can pay a visit next week.

Hope everyone is well and has oodles of sunshine out their way.

eidsvold · 08/08/2007 10:34

kiwi - I saw Miss Saigon - mmm about 7 or 8 years ago when I visited friend in the US - we went to see it - Fabulous. So I told dh he would love it and we should go.

Let you know - thankfully as it involves singing etc - I shouldn't fall asleep - goes way past my current bedtime

DollyPopsOut · 08/08/2007 12:32

Hello

Just a quick one as I am doing a million jobs today and am havinbg a HUGE panic about £££ (as I have none at the moment). I can't make the 23rd alas as it's a Thurs and I can only do mondays and Weds as DD1 in nursery. If that date suits everyone else though, please go ahead and I'll see you at the Christmas one (forward thinking or what?!)

Love to all XXXXX

kittywits · 08/08/2007 14:21

foxcub · 08/08/2007 22:06

Mossy · 09/08/2007 08:24

Just popping in quickly as Bertie is wailing, sorry to have been ignoring you all the last few days... I am busy today as I am meeting the lovely Diva in Blackpool!!!!! Trying to pack some nappies etc. while Bertie wails and dh also wails as he was hit in the eye last night with a squash ball and had to go to A&E so no time to update but will try to get on tomorrow and read everyone's messages!!

Leo nice to see you back here again, now remember, I know where you live (well, live virtually, anyway!)

kiwibella · 09/08/2007 09:07

HAVE A GREAT TIME TODAY DIVA AND MOSSY!!!! Hope one of you takes a camera so we can see you all together .

We are off to Cheddar shortly - hopefully coincide with Kate going to sleep . Tomorrow night we have tickets to the musical extravaganza at the Glastonbury Abbey (Corinne Bailey Rae and Van Morrison).

It feels weird going on "holiday" when you have to take your work with you!! We will be back in time for dh to play cricket on Sunday... priorities huh .

kiwibella · 09/08/2007 09:07

Mossy... I am seriously trying hard to bite my tongue about that squash incident

hello.had a lovely day in blackpool with mossy and Bertie

mossy had her camera and had someone take a photo(i think to prove to her dh that i'm not a hairy biker).

fox-it wasnt that thread,it was the jordan/sma one.i kept trying to explain myself but was just digging myself deeper into the hole, just been back to it,though, and vvvqv has basically said what i was trying to say,but in an articulate, plain english manner.phew.

hope everybody is ok x

foxcub · 09/08/2007 20:44

Hi Diva - glad you had a brill day.

Must check out that thread

So when do we get to see some pics of you two with the hairy bikers you went to meet then?
