We won the rugby! Blimey - wonders will never cease

Mossy - elliot is clingy, clingy at the mo. I can only put him down in an unusual place (like a doorway or a room where I don't usually put him down) if I want to do something. Otherwise I have to sit next to him (if I'm not holding him). As he only sleeps for 40 min stretches, I don't get a lot done during the day!

He's still waking up loads at night, the croup is making him cry and splutter. It's been a week now and I'm sooooo tired. I can't believe I'm going back to work in just over a week - I'm going to be asleep at my desk I reckon

At least he's not puking though. I should be grateful for small mercies

So glad I'm not the only one with feisty baby! I am getting fed up with "rod for your own back" comments, and people expressing horror that he does not "sleep through" yet.

Tried putting him a cot but it did not work, he woke even more (or maybe just the same, but I think often I do not notice if he wakes for a feed iyswim).

I pick him up almost immediately he grizzles, not because I am daft inexperienced Mum as some people seem to think, but because I know my baby, and I know that unlike some babies, if I leave him to grizzle it will very, very quickly escalate into a cry, then a scream, then within less than ten minutes it will become an uncontrollable sob.

I know nothing about rugby, although I have to learn about rugby league if we are raising Bertie in St Helens!

Mossy, I can never put Rono down even though he can sit up and is very nearly crawling. He just wants to be carried and sadly he HATES slings .
he isn't that interested in 'solids' although enjoyed some cornish pastie today, he gets to eat loads of crap, poor sod. Well anything to shut up the screaming.
He's still skinny, I daren't take him to be weighed for fear that the HV will say he's too thin.

Anyway ladies we need a new thread

I wonder do they tend to start throwing their weight about at this stage? even my placid non crying Hasan has got fiesty and grizzling until I pick him up. Getting noisier and nosier! Hard to do anything because he wants to be on my hip.

I've never found a sling that doesn't hurt my back but I've got arms like a trucker.
I do think it is good the babies are being assertive!

Hasan has a rotten cough too.
